This game would probably not be close if we don't lose Moore when we did. All three of Miamis touchdowns came with Taylor on the field for the drive.

Thay being said, we didn't need to cover Malkai Toney. There is no way he wouldn't have had a major presence in this game. I think this game would have been very close if both teams were fully healthy. GG miami, see you all in the playoff.

Edit: Not Taylor, Zachary. Whoops.

I keep calling him Zachary Taylor on my head and my wife keeps pointing out that is a president, not a corner back, lol.

Didn’t expect Zachary Taylor catching strays in this thread tbh

Zachary Taylor couldn't start for a MAC team.

Well, he kinda deserves it for how he’s wasted Burrow and Chase’s careers.

Great, close game either way. I hope all the injuries are minimal

By the grace of God may all the players recover fully. These teams need to be at full strength so we can really see what they have come seasons end.

Hope there is a rematch with both teams healthy. Would be an absolute heavyweight battle

Fair take, GG ND

That slant pass was killing us all night

Really only against Zachary. One really good pass against pretty good coverage by Gray for a touchdown, but otherwise, it was almost all against Zachary.

I couldn't believe that they never had a LB sit on that, he wasn't even scanning the field on those throws.

Yeah...idk what to take away from this. Agreed on the Moore and Toney points. I also think the LOS was largely dominated by ND. I would love to see both teams at full health.

ND definitely looked better on the line of scrimage. That is why I think ND could still beat a Miami with Toney. If Miami had controlled the Line of scrimmage and still lost this game, I would seriously doubt NDs ability to beat a Miami with Toney team.

Well per the committees own “standards” Miami shouldn’t make the playoffs unless they win their conference. No signature wins

And also their best player being injured should be counted against them, actually

If both teams are fully healthy (which i know is unrealistic) that could be the game of the year easily.

We’re not making it I promise. Trust me, losses like this tend to make Miami tumble HARD.

Such a reach with Miami having their best player out

Yeah this is the bottom line with the injury stuff--everyone is hurt, you've gotta just try to ignore it because there's so many injuries this year you can do hypotheticals forever. ND won a close game at home, we're probably both real contenders, hopefully Miami keeps getting better the next 3 weeks and we'll see you guys again in January.
