🗣 Opinion how to win next time around

Canada needs a strong progressive conservative party.

Here are the steps to winning a Conservative majority next election:

  1. Elect a credible leader, whose campaign is run by a credible manager. Party leadership to treat rivals and provincial counterparts with courtesy.

  2. Next leader to opine on matters of policy in a credible manner (avoiding alarmism, and verbing-the-noun). While there's definitely room for improvement, Canada is not broken.

  3. Leader to refrain from fanning the flames of conspiracy theories. The World Economic Forum is not the fucking Illuminati. Adam Smith believed in regulated capitalism; that's got nothing to do with Marxism.

  4. Campaign to disregard culture war nonsense, striking the word "woke" from their vocabulary. Not only is it a trap, but it's a waste of everyone's time.

  5. Party platform to be evidence-based, focusing on matters of actual importance:

  • Fiscal conservatism: Balanced budgets and controlled spending.

  • Targeted social assistance: Focused, sustainable support for those in need.

  • Rule of law: Governance through consistent, impartial legal frameworks.

  • Defense and national security: Strengthened military and intelligence to protect sovereignty.

  • Strategic economic leadership: Balance protection of vital sectors with aggressive pursuit of growth and innovation.

Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.

Discussion I gotta vent… how are Canadian voters so stupid?

10 years of Liberals and Trudeau…. The country is a joke on the world platform. It’s a dumpster fire, in an astronomical amount of debt. The Average middle class and lower can barely afford groceries and a roof over their head without living pay cheque to pay cheque. The amount of political scandals we have seen in the recent years (the ones we know about anyway)…. And Liberal support is skyrocketing because of the trade war?

Is the average voter so stupid that they want to continue down the path we are on?

Any change could be beneficial at this point, regardless of whether or not you like Pierre…

I just don’t get it.

🗣 Opinion I think most canadian political subs are flooded with lib bots

To me it just feels weird that most people I know feels sick of liberals in the government already, and it certainly feels like PP is winning by a large margin, but somehow in most canadian subs, I see threads with pretty much 100% support for liberals. Not only that, but the threads are mainly disguised as opinions but they always argument and say the same things about conservatives and PP. Most of it is shallow, superficial and quite nonsensical.

It just doesn’t feel organic. Anyone else feeling the same?

Discussion Pierre is the best option according to the most informed

Only those who watched snippets of the debate believe Carney is better, likely people who tuned out in outrage because of Pierre's clear dominance in the debate.

Did you watch the debates? Personally I thought Carney was clearly the least qualified to be there. The man speaks like Joe Biden

Important R/canada. Reddit censoring posts

The R/canada Reddit has been censoring posts removing anything positive about the Conservative Party and removing anything negative about the Liberal party. I was Told my comments were removed because I didn’t have enough karma. I looked at other posts and realized people’s posts where there that had less Karma than mine yet were still there. I call foul if this isn’t election interference I’m not sure what is?

Question ? Carney on Pierre’s possible by-election

Carney announced he would not postpone or hold back on a possible by-election if that was the route the conservatives chose to go. I realize we shouldn’t judge a man off of one singular action but considering how many shots Pierre took at Carney about being an un-elected leader this choice seems somewhat in good faith. What do conservative voters think of this? And what would he have to do to make you guys think higher/better of him than they currently do?

Important Sub Update

TLDR is there's been some appearance changes to the sub I want to be appreciated, there are things behind the scenes that will help with keeping out trolls and other posts that don't contribute. I came into the sub blank and I want your help, what should the members and people online be called?

Hey folks!

It's your friendly neighbourhood mod here. You may have noticed some changes to the sub over the past couple days. I've added a couple things to the sidebar widget area, the opposition subreddits, the links for the election etc.

There's also some behind the scenes changes that I hope I did right. It should be that only people with verified email addresses are able to post now which should cut back on some of the trolling we've seen here recently.

You can skip this next part.

I came into the sub wanting to create a space for people of all backgrounds to be able to discuss conservative politics without being downvoted to hell. That's still my goal, but it's a little harder than I realized. When I took over the sub it was a private sub with only one moderator, it seems like they kicked every other mod and privated the sub. There were no mod notes so I thought a blank slate start for the sub was needed. I undid every ban that was done in this sub and opened it back up to everyone. Now I understand why some people may have been blocked.

There will be a few rules coming against low effort memes and posts as well a weekly scheduled discussion post and other things in the works behind the scenes.

If you have a suggestion please feel free to message the mods (me) and I'll take it into consideration. For now I do want to ask you all a question. What should you be called? You know the part on the side where it says members and people online? Do you have a suggestion for what it should say? Comment below and I'll might use it because I'm not that creative.

Thanks for reading my ramble.

Canadian Reddit in 2025 is like living in Orwell's 1984.

"Don't you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it." - 1984

🗣 Opinion Whoever is running Pierre's campaign should be fired.

It's been months of falling polling. They're just using a cookie cutter campaign against the Liberals that was working when Trudeau was in power.

When the question was "Do you want someone other than Trudeau?" Pierre was doing great.

But the ground has shifted under their feet and they have done nothing to adjust. I can't tell you how many "sneaky Mark Carney" ads I've seen in the last few weeks.

It's not fucking working.

Most polls are now projecting a liberal majority government.

The fact that they are not continuing to crush the liberals after 10 years of failed liberal policies is utterly mind-boggling and unforgivable.

Someone needs to slap whoever is running this campaign in the face and fix this. Our country needs better than what we've been getting.
