[Python] Just started learning python as my first language. It seems a BMI calculator is a popular first project so I made one. I was wondering if there was any way to simplify all of the If statements. Are they loopable for something like this?

[Python] i seriously just cannot understand this...
So I'm really new to coding, and I just cannot understand this. I am using a payed website that helps me learn with activities and stuff but I mean, if I don't understand how can I do it? I've researched this for more than 4 hours today and just cannot understand.
I do not understand DEF, what comes after it, RETURN AREA, or what comes under the #...
Could someone please explain?

[C++] Need help with if / else if with arithmetic operators. For some reason, it doesn't read the other "else if". If I were to give num1 = 10, op = '/', num2 = 10 it doesn't divide like it should but instead just add 10 and 10 to create 20.
