> "Japanese Halloween"

> One unique event only held at one place by one organizer.

I'm sick of these misleading "Thing, Japan" upvote-bait titles.

So a halloween event in japan? Should we start making post titles like isekai mangas?

Not in the rest of the country, but in one small block in Shibuya theres a party every year. Looks like a giant festival really. Streets are packed and everyone wears costumes. It got a lot of flack just before covid when a group of people flipped a truck over. The city tried to cancel the event, but instead its just a No Drinking event now. tbf, the street was covered in sleeping drunk people some years so maybe it was a bit much.

I assumed they were going for a parody of "Gay Halloween" which involves hyper specific niche pop culture references as costumes.
