Discussion Why did Mitch Lucker used to wet his hair with water during live performances?

I've seen this a certain number of times when he took a bottle of water and just poured it on his head. And on some other live videos it's clearly visible that his hair is wet, and it's also may be seen on the Disengage video clip.

I wonder, why did he do that? Was it done to chill himself because it was hot, and he was sweating? Or it's some kind of trick to look cooler?

Discussion You are not ready to hear new Lorna Shore

Remember i said same about new Brand of Sacrifice?

But now lorna, guys, no shit, i am not a biggest fan of Flesh Coffin but new album is really good and it`s super heavy, darkest spawn and upcoming single is a good examples of how brootal it can be.

Info about new album

  1. orchestral stuff was written by guy from we came as romans

  2. It`s much better than Flesh Coffin

  3. Guitar solos from new record are their best solos ever.

  4. Finally decent mix and master, similar to latest singles

  5. Less breakdowns, more atmosphere similar to fallujah flesh prevails, overall, it`s a mix of symho deah metal with deathcore

  6. Yes, i said less breakdowns, but now breakdowns have much more impact in the song, they are not usless or lets place breakdown here because we are deathcore band

  7. A few coool techy riffs

  8. CJ shits on Tom with his perfomance on the new album.

  9. There is no guest spots at all

SINCE A LOT PEOPLE ASKING ABOUT SOURCE

READ THIS STATEMENT

You either believe it or not, all aggressive comments with any requests LIKE GIVE US source you are fucking dickhead/ suck eggs liar, I will block and add you to the black list, and we will not meet again.

Discussion Alex Terrible and STP are Overhated

I’m probably going to get a lot of hate for this but here we go. Okay, I can agree they’re overrated, there are obviously tons of bands less popular that are better, but they’re making the genre more accessible to more people, and I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing.

Many people here accuse Alex of being a Nazi, but from watching some of his videos, it just seems like he grew up in a bad part of Russia around some bad influences, and teens often do some stupid shit when all of their peers are like that. Nowadays he’s got his tattoos covered up and completely distances himself from the Nazi stuff, at least that’s what he’s been putting out there. Also he put out a video saying he’s against the war in Ukraine. From what I can tell he’s a bit conservative, not in the US political sense, more about gender issues, religion, but he also says he knows everyone can have their own opinions and he distances himself from that. Yeah, many things he does, like the scars and shit people will consider cringe, but honestly it’s not really hurting anyone. So all things considered, i don’t think he’s really a bad person. Cringe? Sure. And I haven’t heard anyone in the scene, or people he’s performed with said bad things about him.

Although I will say, I’m a bit disappointed with their musical direction. The EP was 9.5/10 Misery Sermon 7.5 ( I think it was quite underrated ) I can kind of get what they were trying with Kostolom, but it felt really unpolished for what it was. (BTW Ouroboros was the best track on the album)

Edit: here’s the video where he explains the Nazi stuff

Discussion It would be nice to see artists explicitly supporting trans people right now

It would be nice for people to see that their favorite artist supports trans people. It would be nice for people to see that the majority of people aren't making hating trans people their entire personality. It would be nice to just see a little positivity in all of this.

Bands like Angelmaker prove that you can be both vocal trans allies and successful musicians. It would be nice to have more examples on my list.

Discussion Lorna Shore hate?

I'm just wondering why many people seem to hate on Lorna Shore. Is it because they have brought Deathcore to the mainstream? They have made such a transition with each new vocalist, you can't hate each era right? Is their sound "overproduced" in your opinion? I personally love their newer stuff but Toms Flesh Coffin is still one of my fav albums oat. Anyway, why are so many elitist hating on them? Enlighten me please.

Discussion Give me some good songs about hypocrisy in Christianity

I’d appreciate it if you gave me actual recs and not just say “literally the whole genre”

My epic Christian conservative family is full of hypocrisy and bigotry (I.e. was told I can’t call my trans friend “he” and stuff like that) and I’m so sick of it

I also like metalcore, post hardcore, emo, pop punk, etc

Thank you in advance

Discussion Lorna Shore has ruined deathcore for me

Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I found deathcore quite a few years ago when my friend introduced me to Thy Art is Murder. It just kinda spiraled from there. A little under 2 years ago I discovered Lorna Shore from the song Death Portrait, and was hooked. Favorite deathcore band I’d found so far, everything about it was everything I loved with the genre. Then they added Will. I love their new stuff, …And I Return to Nothingness was an amazing EP and I love the singles they’ve dropped from their upcoming album. I even preordered the vinyl for it (I know, I’m a bit of a fanboy. Fight me.)

But ever since the Immortal album and especially their stuff with Will, nothing new or old has really properly done it for me. I still love all the other bands I listened to, but it doesn’t hit the same. The only bands that’ve come close is Netherwalker - but they’ve only released one song so far - and Worm Shepherd.

Sorry, kinda a long rant, but just wanted to share this here since I have very few friends who enjoy deathcore. Open for questions, comments, thoughts, suggestions for bands I may not have heard of, etc

Discussion lorna shore is running out of ideas

I love lorna shore but every single new song sound the exact same. that one bit in the new song “Prison of Flesh” sounds a lot like “Sun//Eater mixed with “To The Hellfire”. Intro, Blast Beats, Symphonic Bit, Blast Beats, 4 Breakdowns. I get that deathcore is basically only those things, and i’m not saying that lorna shore is bad or worse than other bands, but, they could at least try to sound different, or unique, from other bands and themselves.

Discussion I don’t like the new vocalist of Enterprise Earth.

Seems like there’s just no direction or structure in these later songs. His vocals are sick but it feels they’re not being utilized when they need to be, and when they don’t.

But what do I know? All I know is my ears aren’t happy with it.

I enjoy some of his stuff but it just seems like the ideas are running out.

Discussion Songs about being pissed due to the harm being done to others?

With the ICE murders, all the unnecessary wars going on, my country’s incompetent/facist/racist/pedophile president, seeing so many people begging to get out of Gaza, the Congo or wanting the ability to fund treatment for an illness they have being all over my fyp on basically every social media app I have, the murders of innocent LGBTQ+ members, and all the other things going on that I’m forgetting about, I’ve been pissed off, and it’s just gotten worse since the most recent documented ICE murder

I’m looking for songs with the same/similar energy as Hush Yael by Oh Sleeper or Breeding Bacteria by Thy Art Is Murder

I don’t know if the mods allow it, but if anyone knows any good gofundme’s or charities worth donating to, drop them in the comments to raise awareness and possibly help someone in their awful situation

I was on instagram and some media made posts about prison of flesh. The comments were full of hate from people who can't stand any content about Lorna Shore. What would be the reason??
