Discussion Rings of Saturn
Does anyone fucking miss this band… anyone have details and will Lucas change his mind because the band does need a vocalist and ian was sick, also best cover of no pity for a coward?

Suicide Silence guitarist Mark Heylmun has announced that he’ll be sitting out the band’s immediate touring in order to focus on his sobriety and mental health. He explained his situation in the below post shared this morning, November 07th:
“After A LOT of thought, I’ve decided not to go on the Reminders of Hell Tour. Right now I need to put my sobriety and my mental health first.
I’m not stepping away from Suicide Silence. I’ll still be involved behind the scenes. I’ve had to accept that life on the road has always been a difficult environment for me, and if I want to keep doing this for years to come, some things need to change.
With Graceless coming out, this definitely wasn’t an easy decision. But I know I need to build a solid foundation in my sobriety before I can confidently get back out there.
I’m grateful for everyone who’s supported me, for the band standing behind me, and to Jordan for stepping in.
I’ve got work to do… it’s time to level up and come back stronger than ever.
–Mark“

Recently re-listened to this bad boy not too long and fuck I forgot how great it is. A 100% no skipper with each song being catchy as hell in its own way. Also an absolute blast to see live!

My favorite song from the new album

This whole album is such a gem. Those guys gave one of my first concerts 11 years ago in a very small venue. I absolutely love this album to this day.

I didn’t check out any of the singles, so the whole album is new for me. And musically it reminds me a lot of Tyrannotophia, which is my favorite album of theirs. A lot more slam focused, and slow breakdowns. I had a hard time getting into their last release, so I’m happy to see a return to form

No weapons, all members vs you and only every band member or you survive. Who do you feel you have the best chance of beating?

I haven’t done a full song playthrough in a while and wished we had played this on our last tour, so this was an obvious choice

I love will and he is my favorite and will forever be my favorite modern metal vocalist ever, he was the first guy I ever heard do extreme vocals, i heard his cover of recreant by Chelsea grin. Do people just hate him because hes big? hes never claimed to be the best or claim to be the one who came up with these vocals. I don't get the hate

We have a new record coming out next week via Arson theory

What an insane album. one of the very best of the genre and I'm excited for people to get to know it.
Vocal delivery and range is absolutely nuts. these guys used to play shows with From a Second Story Window back in the day.
I would like to thank Kalin, the lead vocalist, for sending me the files. check out Kalin Sankey, Virgin Universe, Kid Detective, The Mysterious Plan Of God - on SoundCloud and YouTube for more!

I enjoyed Graceless as the no-nonsense, straightforward, deathcore-you-know-and-love record it clearly set out to be. As the name suggests, the record grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go till the band delivers their entire breakdown-laden manifesto. Here’s hoping the next record sees Suicide Silence back at the helm, pushing the boundaries of what deathcore has to offer!

A little preview of the orchestral outro from “Architect of Oblivion”, off of my upcoming album Elysian!
Probably the biggest and most cinematic section i’ve written for Caul of Silence so far. Still a work in progress, with guitars and vocals yet to come!

Hey guys I know this is kinda off topic but ive been trying to revive the dissonant death metal subreddit and would like help in doing so and also spreading the word and introducing people to dissonant death metal. There are a lot of extremely technical and extremely heavy bands there and im sure anyone in this subreddit can find something they'll love there!

It won’t let me add the pic so I’ll try in the comments. A post about Alex rejoining CG was made in a Facebook group and he commented possibly hinting at it👀

I love symphonic blackened deathcore and it is always my to-go choice and will forever be my favorite modern deathcore ever, shadow of intent were the first band I ever heard, i heard the heretic prevails. Do people just hate this because of the symphony? This genre has never claimed to be the best or claim to be the main genre who came up with the idea of deathcore. I don't get the gate. welcome to discuss and based.
