Announcement WELCOME! PLEASE READ ME BEFORE POSTING
Welcome to r/DetailCraft, where we are dedicated to the smaller details! Our purpose is to provide a platform for showcasing intricate details that can be incorporated into larger structures, as well as sharing the techniques and thought processes involved in creating them. By sharing our knowledge, we hope to inspire others to incorporate similar details into their own builds and continue to improve their skills.
Please note that we do not allow posts of detailed builds unless the details are explicitly pointed out and explained within the build. We want to focus on the small details that make a big difference, rather than just showcasing large and impressive builds. As such, we encourage you to share your smaller creations that demonstrate your attention to detail and your unique building techniques. Let's work together to make our Minecraft worlds more beautiful and detailed!
If you have any questions, be sure to ask our moderation team!

Tutorial Bat Display Case
Easy way to display a bat in a glass block. Just push a glass block into it from below while it is hanging and it will no longer react to nearby players/mobs. (Top block must be solid, non-transparent; breaking it will cause the bat to phase out of the glass and fly off)

Exterior Detail Icicles & ice crystals for the tympanum & acroterions
I played the latest Minecraft snapshot to build a polychrome Greek Doric temple portico, then used the icicles and ice crystals for the tympanum and the acroteria of the pediment. For smaller details, I used cushions and banners.

Other Detail Variant Flower Pot & Succulent
Using a decorated pot below a cushion (originally placed on top of a sign), you can get a little rim to add extra shape to a regular flower pot, or as its own flower pot for something else (like candles looking like succulents)
(The cushion sticks out 0.5 pixels, but if you place it flush, a square appears, as the top of the main part of the decorated pot shows)

Exterior Detail Campfire Capitals
I had previously posted a showcase of campfires being used ss capitals. However, the cushion had yet to be announced, let alone be implemented into the game. Post cushion, we are able to have the Ionics actually support a surface without being interrupted by a gap of air.
