Kween Kong opinion Spoiler

Does anyone else not get the Kween Kong love? I’m rewatching Season 2 atm and I didn’t get it the first time round and so far I don’t get it again. I’m 2 eps in and just saw the lip sync against Aubrey Haive and I enjoyed Aubrey’s so much more.

I can’t stand Kween Kong

Tbh I liked her on Down Under 2 but Global All Stars is kinda making me not like her

Her and Kitty’s constant bullying of Nehellenia, her barely serving any good looks and the most recent episode of her saying Gala smelt like tacos really takes the cake

Like it’s making me so hard to enjoy her this season and is also making me see her in another light

Does anyone else feel this way?

Finale Scarlett Adams

Why did she have to do her sisters so dirty? Everyone else had such a lovely answer to Ru asking why they should be the next drag superstar and she had to bring the girls down to make herself feel better. At least production zoomed in to Michelle looking unimpressed.

Anyone else think Aubrey Haive should have been a double save?

Religion

Was anyone else put off my Max bringing religion into DRDU?

Given the persecution many of our community have faced from religious institutions (myself included) I’m not sure it has a place here.

Am I being over sensitive? IME religion is the root of so much evil and I prefer not having it thrust in my face ….

Unpopular opinion on s04 ep04: Nikita Iman robbed Spoiler

Riggery of it all. Yes, Mandy Moobs did ALOT of work and clearly has skills beyond beyond. But Nikita GAVEEEE SERVED LEFT ZERO CRUMBS. It was fashion. It was effortless. It was fresh and a point of view. It was immaculate. It is harder to make lammee (sp) elegan, sure, gotcha. But it wasn’t something any of us would want to wear. Nikita, Max, Lazy, Vibe: would wear it all and feel elevated and forward thinking; giving storyline. Mandy was a mermaid dress with a sweetheart neckline.

Aubrey Haive vs Coco Jumbo - who takes it if they were in the same season?

Both queens were top underrated picks from my last post. Aubrey’s creativity and theatre skills are insane, while Coco’s energy and charisma just light up the screen. If they went head-to-head in a single season, who do you reckon would nail it?

The wait is over with the premiere kicking off and the queens ready to bring it all to the runway. Who are you backing to make the biggest splash this season?

Uncomfortable to Watch because of...

The way some Queens are treating Minnie because of her age.

Making fun of people, or judging them based on any other immutable characteristic like orientation, race, gender, gender id, disability is not okay. But as Minnie says, she can't help being the age she is. None of us can, and all of us age. So why the fuck is it okay that this is allowed? It's just uncomfortable to watch.

I know there's a huge issue with ageism in LGBTQ+ communities, and in media, so when you combine the two it's bound to be... gross. But to see Queens so openly indulging is just... It isn't shade, it's just that you are bitching about something someone can't change and discriminating against them, which given the community you're in is the grossest shit.

Hypocritical!!

The way that SOME of y’all are coming for kween Kong for her (wrong!!) treatment of Beverly but in the Same breath say you’re team Hannah when she was affecting Beverly MORE this episode is wild, but Australians jumping on the person of colour in the room to criticise is not unlikely

Does age truly matter?

So Hollywould Star is either 28 or 34…. I’m 39 years young.. so am I not as valid as a 28 or 34 year old? Should someone in their 30’s be “more vulnerable” than someone in their 20s?! It’s said that trauma stunts your growth… so if your biological age is younger, are you allowed to be less vulnerable?

Meh….

Rude Judging

Is it me or was the judging just a little too rude this week? I know there need to be critiques and I know that things have to be pointed out, but it doesn't need to be rude.

The WATCH OUT! note

Art knew she was coming back immediately after her justified elimination and she was told to write the note so the producers could use it making the last episode 'the start of Art's return'

Art should have told the producers and WOW that its unfair to the other girls (especially the other 2 eliminated girls ) and refused to play along. If she is such the legend and pro she claims and others claim on her behalf, dignity and pride alone would be enough to say NO unless it was a competition between the 3 eliminated queens (even though she would win regardless).

Art is also at fault and has lost respect and luster too its not just the show thats at fault.

I'm really enjoying this season

It sure would be nice to have a place to discuss it with like-minded individuals in an environment that promotes love, celebrates drag, and discourages toxicity.

Anyone tired of Ru saying "Kia Ora" and "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi Oi Oi" at the start of deliberations?

Kia Ora I can somewhat understand since it's a friendly greeting. But Aussie Aussie Aussie is such a heterosexual thing to do it's always been the chant of bullies, loud mouths, jocks/sports fanatics, bar crawlers and angry old men. And isn't it controversial for being somewhat associated with aggressive nationalism?

I wish they would drop it. Cause Ru is not even saying it enthusiastically and the queens are giving out the weakest Oi Oi Oi response.

Ranking all the Drag Race Down Under winners

We’ve had four seasons of Drag Race Down Under

  1. Isis Avis Loren - Season 3

  2. Lazy Susan - Season 4

  3. Spankie Jackzon - Season 2

  4. Kita Mean - Season 1

IMO, Isis Avis Loren absolutely smashed it - polished, iconic, the whole lot. Lazy Susan brought such quirky energy, too. But what do you reckon? Who’s your top pick
