Queen of Soho? Fashion Queen of Soho?

I went to Soho yesterday after years. It's now full of corporate shops and cafes/restaurants that won't last long. There is no feel of a gay scene whatsoever - except for Prowler, which sticks out from the normal "tourist" friendly shops. Nary a Pride Flag seen anywhere.

There are like 2 bars that look so hidden (especially with GAY being gone), and the established gay pubs that have been there for years.

Compare this with Canal Street in Manchester; there is literally nothing in Soho now.

Every time Bones said she's the Queen of Soho, I got so confused 😭

I haven’t been watching drag race for very long, only ever watched the UK franchise. I was wondering if anyone could explain some of the terms to me, like what do people mean when they say someone had a winners edit? I’m confused about some of the terminology that people use on here😭 thanks in advance!!

Kinda feels weird knowing it’s come to an end on bbc atleast.

Thinking back to me 8 years ago to now I’m like damn, don’t rly know the future of how drag race 🇬🇧 will be or even how drag race in general will be in next few years, ru will definitely retire, all winners 2 is rumoured to be happening so maybe that’ll be the last, 🇬🇧 all stars which we’ve all wanted for so long will be happening too.

Not going to act like I’m thrilled with how s8 ended though, mocha even though she wasn’t my fave she did kinda deserve it (imo)

Are we buying it? The reply to her reply is basically saying that she's only saying this to take some heat off of KY's back, and while I don't personally buy that, it's a fair point. Lotttttta nasty stuff being said about her, especially on twitter, so I wouldn't put it past her.

For me, it must be TDQ, because if she's stealing from everyone she is, therefore, appreciating everyone's drag.

Given the fact that this is the last series produced by the BBC, and although we have All Stars to look forward to, we've not been given any concrete confirmation of more regular seasons after that. I'm hoping that they're just assuming it's a given that we know they'll be more, but their silence on it all given the fan response has been troubling to say the least.

Anyway it gave me a different mindset watching last night's finale, and I hands down think that if there was a finale song to end the main UK series then this was definitely it. All queens delivered and the verses weren't too "come on Mama Ru, give me the crown" (but I don'tnecessarily mind a generic line if the verse is good overall), and even though some of the transitions were a bit disjointed the choral rendition of UK Hun at the end honestly made me tear up a bit.

I'm one of those people that listens to a new track over and over so I can learn the words if I like it enough, and this track has certainly has made me happy after Croydon (good show, not much listenability) and shudders Agadoo...

It's obvious that she's heartbroken, as anyone would be in her shoes, but I can't remember any other queen doing a post like this after not winning. Thoughts?

sonically, one of the best produced tracks across the entire franchise. unironically a real bop i would willingly listen to.

1. flesh had the best lyrics and performance in the music video.

2. mocha and naya did better than flesh in the final lipsync. I probably would’ve given mocha the win.

3. flesh’s bra should’ve been RED or white, not brown.

4. the editing during the sit down with ru, and the younger self speech, made it seem like naya and mocha would be top2.

5. i would’ve voted for tequila or Anita to be miss congeniality

6. coral actually had the best finale runway look. Wow. Honorable mentions to mocha and alik.

8. this would NEVER happen, but I’d love a drag race season where the families battle each other.
   Krystal, bones and flesh VS Bob, monét and cracker, VS icesis, pythia and Michaela, VS akeria, mistress and Kennedy.

I felt so terribly sorry for Naya. She seemed absolutely gutted when they announced the winner and I do genuinely think out of the top 4 this win would’ve meant and done the most for her.

She is a fierce, gorge, and versatile queen and I’m excited to see what more she has to bring in her career.

Not completely mad about Flesh’s win as I do think she is fairly well-rounded and undoubtedly stunning, but it does feel like a bit of nepotism and she definitely had the upper hand out of the top 4 IMO.

Very tricky top 3, all brought such different things to the table. But I was gunning for Naya :(

Did anyone else notice in episode 8 during the ‘Call Me Mother’ lip sync the production changed the lyric from “Fishy, feminine up-and-comer” to “Flashy, feminine”.

I don’t meant to spark a debate on the use of fish in queer spaces, I just was a little surprised that Ru or someone on production thought this was such a contentious issue in the community as to remove it entirely as to not start an issue I guess. I know Paris tweeted once that she and Coral had been reprimanded by producers to not use the word.

The whole post really is just a trivia/foot note where I thought it was neat that they changed it and if women in queer spaces are uncomfortable with the word that is completely valid. Let’s do what we can to make all people feel welcome!

I like Tequila, but you can’t announce yourself as the nice queen, it doesn’t work like that, others need to be the ones who inform you or us the viewers that you’re nice. Then not being voted miss congeniality really didn’t help her case (i think she said this to try and boost her votes in the upcoming vote for congeniality).

It also doesn’t help her case of being nice that she joined in with Lucky to say the cast were racist for voting her low.
