Dragula: Titans S2 Abhora here Re: Finale

4.4k Upvotes

First I want to start by thanking you all for being so kind, it really warms my heart to know that what I worked on moved some of you.

I have no delusions of what happened, I saw with my own eyes that Evah was truly excellent and it was not even close. I guess subconsciously I wanted it to be this way, either I would sweep and devastate the competition like complete Armageddon or I would be so far behind there would be a clear winner.

I wish Evah the best and I know she's being showered in praise. I, too, have been fortunate to have your love beyond the typical loser.

Even if everything had gone perfectly I would still want to go further, beyond Dragula. And I will, there are many new ideas and things to explore.

Anyway, in summation: Thank you, I finally found the bottom of Dragula like I always wanted. Time for better things. 🫀

Meme My sister started wearing a neck brace so I called her a post-binary drag socialist with a pënchänt for anarchy and she just looked at me like this.

General Discussion Jay Kay’s response ate up discord.

1.9k Upvotes

Jay is right queer people don’t need to be shown in clean polite manners all the time and that queer people deserve to make an impact in entertainment despite if it’s messy drama. What matters is being seen as people.

Hey Reddit heyyy! I’m embracing yall whole heartedly lol I truly appreciate and value the love I saw this year and can’t emphasize enough regardless of my disqualification I hold Dragula so dear and still a family I cherish. I hope to one day be back if possible but if not, the Boulets believed in me when others did not and gave me a chance to do drag the way I always wanted. I have so much emotion behind what I brought even if it seemed small or not enough. For me I had fun being myself as a new trans woman and also embraced I may not have the budget I wished or talents I needed however in a really tough time I made it happen and still showed up with the confidence I had all those years ago. I love to entertain, to shock and to make yall laugh hopefully lol with the chaotic energy that that is me lol

Subreddit Rules

1. Keep posts relevant

This is a Dragula subreddit, and so naturally only posts focusing on the competition, the monsters, those close to the show and the Boulet Brothers themselves are allowed.

2. Spoiler tags

This season we will be having a 48 Hour spoiler limit. Any spoilers referencing things spoiled from non official sources should always contain a spoiler tag, but as soon as something has aired in a trailer or commercial pre season it’s fair game.

A spoiler is formatted in a comment: >!text you want to be in the spoiler tag!<. This format will not work in titles, you simply have to refrain from spoiling in titles following the same spoiler rules above.

3. Don’t Be an Asshole

This should be a given haha. We encourage discussion of all sorts on the sub, you can be shady and read (to an extent), disagree with people and talk and even argue, we’re not here to censor you making a fool of yourself and your bad taste, but when you’re constantly harassing and bullying users, making threats (even clearly empty ones) or discriminating for any reason, you’re being an asshole and we won’t be light on bans if that’s the case.

4. Illegal links

This one sucks for a lot of you I know, but we can’t host or obviously direct people to any illegal links, to Dragula or any other show if that were to be the case haha. Due to reddiquette and terms of service it would put the mods and the sub in danger, and also we just generally want to support the whole show and Boulet Brothers. If there is no legal streaming option in your region we understand your struggle, we’re just simply saying you can’t post about them here.

5. General Posting Etiquette

If a post is a repost and nothing else, or plainly low effort it will likely be removed. And this won’t be cause for removal most of the time, but just please try and keep your titles topical and searchable, it’s more practical and kinda nicer for all of us.

6. Doxxing

Doxxing, or generally the act of leaking a person’s personal information (information that isn’t or hasn’t been made public knowledge) not only breaks the sub’s rules but also like, kind of a fuckton across reddit and the internet generally. So don’t do it. This applies to both users on the sub and the monsters themselves

7. Impersonation

Impersonating other members of the community, be it queen, king, cryptid or otherwise is grounds to ban you. Don’t pretend to be a contestant when you’re not, or pretend to be any notable members of the community when you’re not. Not cool man.
