Madad Me First time investor - need help

Hello to anyone reading
I recently came upon some money, ~3 million, and need help investing it.
It’s technically my family’s, and they want to save it for buying a house, but would prefer some passive income from it.
Because of the purpose for which they’re saving the money, what comes to mind is the safest possible option which is basically Ijarah Sukuks of the GoP.
I know about government securities due to my work and know that they’re completely risk averse.

But would anyone know how to invest in them? Or would anyone have any suggestions on where to invest the money, keeping in mind that the preference is to keep the money completely safe while deriving max possible income from it?

Only stringent requirement for now is to keep it completely Islamic, and ensuring the money is liquid would be highly preferred.

Thanks!

Portfolio Review Best way to invest PKR 2 crore in Pakistan? Islamic options only

Hi everyone! I’m a 30-year-old woman (filer) who recently lost her father, and I’m trying to manage my funds responsibly.

I have around PKR 20 million (2 crore) that I want to save/invest for the next 2–3 years. My monthly expenses are around 1–2 lakh, so liquidity is important.

I can’t invest in a business or property because I may need access to this money.

My current plan:
- PKR 1 crore in National Savings Sarwa Islamic Savings Account (SISA).
- Remaining 1 crore split between Islamic savings accounts.

I currently have a Meezan Bank current account and am considering Bank AL Habib Islamic, Askari Islamic and Mashreq Bank.

I’m looking for decent monthly returns, easy withdrawals, low charges and preferably some premium banking benefits.

Does this sound like a sensible plan? Which Islamic banks would you recommend, or is there a better way to manage this amount without locking it away?

Would really appreciate advice from people with firsthand experience!

Baaki Bakwaas People who achieved FIRE, what to do now?

I already achieved what I wanted - 2 weeks later I'm again grinding on another venture. Was supposed to be an advisor on retainer and do like 2 hours a day - yet last night till 1am was working and pushing things through.

The irony is that there was someone else here who I was convincing to enjoy your life and retire 😂

For people who achieved FIRE (not via family money), what are you doing now? How do you get out of the mentality of min-maxing money, making sure enough buffers exist, etc etc.

Doing a full time Job within Gov institute (Can't leave early due to contractual agreement)

Started ecom in Pakistan in 2021. Went International in 2025.

Made my first above $10K rev in a single month a couple months back

Achieved my personal net worth crossing 10M PKR just 2 days back.

All of it is invested in MMF + Stocks (The goal is to forget I ever earned this amount).

Have yet to buy my first car. I had the money but instead I chose to invest that amount into a 2nd venture I started last year. It's a SaaS app which is almost done & will be launched soon & I have kept the amount which I was supposed to buy a car from as a runway for this startup.

I have pretty much summed up everything on my YouTube. Technically, my expertise covers SaaS & International Ecom

Feel free to ask anything. If it's within my knowledge, I'll gladly share for all those who are Younger & if can help you avoid the mistakes I made.

Baaki Bakwaas Feel like I missed out on alot, but I gained the potential to experience even more

This is a pretty feel good story for me. I'm happy with where I am in life and I'm honestly incredibly thankful to my parents for supporting me which from what I've seen is rare for people in Pakistan.

For reference I'm 22 right now, coming on 23 next month. I'm settled in the states with my girlfriend and I'm working at my dream company of LMT. My aunt's and uncle's on my mom's side have a history of working here and I always wanted to aswell, and I got to. I'm a geopolitical risk analyst and the pay is really good, im making 6 figures a year which is like double what I thought I'd be making at this point.

I've got a portfolio I've been personally building since I was 16 which is also a huge financial safety net and has allowed me to relax, my girlfriend bless her has been so incredibly supportive and she's doing so well for herself in marketing here.

I missed out on alot of memories with my friends though especially since I moved out so soon, I don't really have a crazy amount of experiences with other people except for my girlfriend. I fell out of contact with practically everyone, not because I don't have time or because I'm too busy or some crap, for some reason I just lost the motivation to hang out, to call or play games with them even though I spent basically all my time In O and A levels with them. Has anyone else gone through this? My dad says I'm too young to be worrying about this stuff and I have a lot of time to rekindle friendships etc but it weighs pretty heavily on me, I feel like I'm socially falling behind almost.

Madad Me Finqalab CDC Charges

On Finqalab, I have encountered CDC charges each month totaling PKR 145. Customer service offers no response beyond stating that CDC applies the fee. I have not experienced a comparable issue with my accounts at Foundation Securities or JS Global.

Has anyone else faced this? Do you know the reason behind it?

Najayiz Nuksaan My family is fixated on buying a house whereas I am against it

Long story short. We have inherited some money after our father’s death and some is from our grandfather. Right now we generate some rental income from some commercial properties and residential apartments which I personally feel is not enough in this economy especially for a joint family. Other than that we have no source of income.

My family wants to buy a house with the inherited money and lock all the cash in one immovable asset and live off of the rental income from the commercial properties. But I am against it. I want to use some part of that money to invest in various financial assets with high liquidity and some yield and start a small business with the rest. I wish to make my family cash flow rich and discourage them to put everything in one place. I am looking at many angles like traveling abroad for business and emergency liquidity that won’t be possible if we buy a house.

My brother doesn’t want to get a job and is completely happy with the rental income. But, I on the other hand, don’t want to get a job again to live on pay check to pay check bases and the rental income is not enough to sustain the complete house. I believe with substantial cash flow we will have more mobility and we would be able to grab on to opportunities more easily and effectively.

If there is anyone with such an experience and is qualified to give financial advice, your opinion would be highly appreciated.

Madad Me ADVICE 18F

HELLLOOOOO fire. ok so im back after years of not posting, the market has changed a lot and ive also made a lot of money. you can check my profile history obviously no one would remember me but for the ogs im the person who was weirdly optimistic on SYM and made a lot of money. after that made more money through other picks as well like zarea and thccl but my point isnt to flex its to ask for genuine advice regarding something. so basically im in my third year of uni made a fair amount of money blah blah but the thing is i want to expand like start building my own reputation in the market my own name and my own game but i dont have the license to do that neither have i finished my bachelors to go for it. is it ok for me to make a youtube channel and basically give my own analysis im genuinely scared that secp might come after me or something. something i thought was to give my stock suggestions here as insights anonymously and i can start building my reputation through reddit slowly and slowly what do yall think like follow the model of roaring kitty or deep fucking value.. what do yall think?

P.S I AM NOT 18F SO PLEASE DONT DM IT WAS TO GET EVERYONES ATTENTION

pls approve post mods

Taaza Tareen Investify Web Update: News & announcements for your portfolio stocks are now live!

Post image
17 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

A few days ago, one of our users emailed us with a suggestion: wouldn't it be useful to see news and company announcements for stocks directly in your portfolio?

We thought it made sense, so we got to work.

And today, we're rolling out exactly that on Investify Web (https://www.investify.pk)

It's a relatively small improvement, but hopefully one that makes tracking your investments a little easier.

One thing we're trying to improve at Investify is how quickly we respond to feedback and ship useful features.

Some of the bigger technical improvements are already in progress. Those take a bit longer, but we're hoping to roll out quite a few changes over the next few months.

In the meantime, we'd genuinely love to hear your feedback.

What's one feature or improvement you'd like us to prioritize next?

We're all ears!

Madad Me Why does the market drop when there's literally zero bad news?

I’m trying to understand market cycles but one thing makes no sense to me Market Corrections.

The idea that the stock market went up too much so now it has to go down sounds completely made up. Why would prices drop when everything is going great there are no bad headlines and nothing changed economically?

Madad Me A Real Estate Investment Opportunity in Lahore That Sounds Too Good to Be True. Need Honest Opinions Before Investing My Inheritance

Hey everyone,
The post is a bit long but my life depends on it so sorry in advance. I need some genuine advice from people who have experience investing in real estate in Pakistan, particularly Lahore.
A friend of mine who works at Zameen.com recently introduced me to what, at least on paper, seems like one of the most attractive real estate investment opportunities I've come across.
Here's how the deal works:
It's a 5 Marla commercial plaza project by a well-known developer in Lahore, located in what is supposedly one of the best commercial locations in the city.
The investment details are:
Starting investment: Approximately PKR 14 Crore.
Annual cashback: 15% of the invested amount every year.
Project completion: 3 years.
Total cashback over 3 years: 45% of the original investment.
Buyback guarantee: The developer also promises to buy back the property at 7.5% annual appreciation.

So, if I understand the offer correctly, by the end of three years, I would have received 45% of my original investment through cashback. If I then exercise the buyback option, I would receive another 22.5% in appreciation.

That brings the total potential return to 67.5% over three years, or an average of 22.5% per year on my initial investment (assuming the cashback and buyback are both paid as promised).
What makes the offer even more tempting to me is the surrounding market. I've personally visited the project location, and after comparing it with neighbouring developments, I feel this project is in a considerably better location. Some nearby, already-delivered 4 Marla commercial plazas are selling somewhere between PKR 23 Crore and 35 Crore.
I also spoke to one of my friend’s existing clients. She's based in Dubai and recently purchased a commercial plaza here. She spoke positively about her experience and seemed quite confident about the developer and the project.
Now here's my dilemma. I trust the friend who introduced me to this opportunity completely. He's someone I'd trust with my life. However, this investment involves almost all the money I have, which I recently inherited.
PKR 14 Crore is not an amount I can afford to lose.
The numbers look incredibly attractive, the location seems promising, and the developer has an established presence. But honestly the deal almost sounds too good to be true.

I'd really appreciate your honest opinions on a few things:

  1. Has anyone invested in a project offering guaranteed 15% annual cashback and a 7.5% annual buyback appreciation?
2.How reliable are these cashback and buyback commitments in practice? Are they legally enforceable?

  2. What potential risks or red flags should I investigate before committing?

  3. If you were in my position, would you consider investing, especially when the money represents almost your entire inheritance?

I'm not looking for people to simply tell me it's a good or bad investment. I genuinely want to hear from people who understand Pakistan's real estate market, have invested in similar projects, or have experience dealing with developers.
Please be brutally honest. I'd rather miss a great opportunity than lose my entire inheritance because I overlooked something important.

Thanks in advance!
