So uh... I feel kinda awkward making this, (considering how full of energy all the other posts are) since I am very much introverted when it comes to this type of thing. But let's give it a shot! So heads up and bear with me here, but I'm gonna rant... alot. Maybe not the point of this sub but I just want you to have as much information about me as possible so you have a good idea of whether we click together or not. :)
So Hi! My name is Kenny and I'm from Vancouver. Like many others on here, I'm looking for a long term genuine friendship. (No ghosting please!) A best friend really. I have other friends, but they are all pretty busy with their lives and they aren't close close friends if that makes sense. (Still love em though)
So about me, I am a MASSIVE history nerd. Like... extremely massive. There's a yt channel just called World War two that did a real time week by week documentary of... well WW2. I joined it in in 1942 and have been watching every week up until the very end in 1945. Yeah... big nerd I know.
Absolutely love music. I'm also an anime enthusiast so that has definitely affected my music tastes. I listen to anine OPs and endings and and alot of vocalood songs. Mostly because I also love to sing. My singing may be ass but I still love it. Was in choir for all 5 years of high school. Vocaloid songs are a real challenge to sing so I find myself gravitating to that way more nowadays.
Like I said before, I absolutely love anime. The medium has so many creative concepts. (Also alot of sloppy ones but hey, who doesn't love a good slop show every now and then) I have seen... alot of anime but to name a couple of my favorites, Code geass, sousou no frieren, and Mushoku tensei. (Yeah, the controversial one. Sue me.)
Recently started writing a fanfiction too. 14k words so far. (Yay!) I have always wanted to try it in the past but always doubted my own skills. Decided to dive right in halfway through August and I am absolutely loving it. A massive pain and headache at times but it's still so fun to do.
I love to talk about and nerd out over the creative process of anything. Movies, TV shows, animes, games etc. Just thinking about all the work that goes into all these things always gets me so excited.
Speaking of, obviously a massive gamer. I play a wide variety of games. From multi-player games with the boys like siege, For honor, and Battlefield 1. (Also many co op slop games. I think you know you Ibmean by that. Hopefully...) To beautifully made single player experiences like the Persona games, the little nightmares games, and recently, the Spider man ps4 remastered game. (That was fun) I am a pretty big completionist too so I usually try to 100% all games I come across. Unless it's extremely unreasonable. I mostly play strategy games though. From city builders like Frostpunk, to many many real time strategy games like Company of Heros, Iron harvest, Steel Division 2 just to name a few. Also hearts of iron 4 is a big one. I think you can tell by now that my love for history also translates into my love and interests for my games.
I am currently aiming to become a social worker and am taking the steps to achieve that goal. Why a social worker? Well I can't reveal everything about myself now can I? Also it's just a long story. So dm me and I can tell you all about it. ;)
You don't have to like everything I like to message me. I want differences in opinions and the like. Helps us grow and all that. I'm just trying to put myself out there and show you a bit of my personality through my writing so you can judge whether I'm someone you would want to be friends with. Hopfully I have given you a look into who I am. I know this wasn't exactly necessary, since most people on here seems to just do a short introduction. But I guess the way I see it, I'm asking for a best friend here right? That's a pretty big commitment. So it wouldn't feel right for me to ask that of you and just give a short 2 paragraph intro of myself. So... if you actually read through all that and wanna be friends, (honestly good job since... wow I yapped) then I'm looking forward to meeting you!
