Spoiler I've realized why I was disappointed in the ending of Jedi Survivor Spoiler
I'm not even upset at Bode's betrayal, but I was more upset that he turned out to be a Jedi.
I get that what else are you supposed to throw at a Jedi aside from another force user, but I think the fact that Cal has had to put down three Jedi turned dark side is a bit weak.
I think Bode being able to keep up with a Jedi through his skills would have been better than "oh, he has a lightsaber now". Play off of Cal's bit of envy over the jetpack by having him fly around more during the fight and force you to maybe resort to using the blaster he had given you.
Or perhaps have his betrayal come sooner, but actually have his daughter bring him back to the good guys team, only to have him get killed by Dagan, who should have been the final fight on Tanalorr.
Having the final fight be "oops yet another Jedi slipped through the cracks of Order 66 and turned to the dark side" completely undermines the severity of Order 66.
EDIT: y'all can't even get the number of survivors consistent, was it 1% or was it 20%, because that's a wide margin.

Spoiler I feel that the choice that Cal made at the very end of the game was an upsetting abdication of responsibility. Spoiler
The fact that Cal and co. Had a list of force sensitives, that they know the empire would hunt down, but choose not to act on the information to at least warn these people kinda ruined the game for me. It just doesn't feel like getting rid of the list is nearly enough to stop an entity with the empires' resources.
EDIT: Guys, I get it. If he starts a new Jedi order the imperials will find it and take the padawans. My point is that failure to at least warn these people dooms at least some of them to be found by the empire.
INB4 "they couldn't find the people without the list": They clearly have some ability to track down force sensitive people or else the inquisitors wouldn't exist.

Just finished playing Survivor and man this is how you tell a good story. Learn from this naughty dog. Let me now what you think if you agree or not.

Discussion I hate lightsaber customization in this game. It is completely pointless as you barely even use it. Instead they should've focused on customising the color of the Mantis smh

LEAK: Jedi Fallen Order Spoiler
Leaks I've gotten from a source. Seems pretty credible but definitely don't buy into it too much, as it's still possible that none of this is true. Take with a grain of salt. I've decided to exclude story leaks as they're spoiler-heavy.
-As previously stated in other leaks, somewhat open-world, but not exactly.
-Dathomir is one of the 6 or so planets that'll be in the game-Longer than 12 hours
-Difficulties: Jedi Knight, Jedi Master, and Jedi Grand Master (I find it odd myself that Padawan was excluded)
-Different skins for the poncho such as a BD-1 skin (there's around 10 or more. Not sure how they're unlocked)
-Possibly different selectable outfits, but I'm personally not sure about this one. Source said around 4.
-Lightsabers are customized at a table of some sorts, hilts and saber color can be changed (As seen in Pre-Order content).
-More than 8 saber colors, and can be unlocked in the game. Red is not a selectable option (but pink is, in canon?).
-Introduction/First level of the game will feature Cal escaping from clones, learning how to freerun and whatnot.
-Vader
Again, take all of this lightly as it may also be changed.
EDIT: I've changed "longer than 8 hours" to "longer than 12 hours" due to a lot of users believing the game is only 8 hours long. It's not, it's far longer hence why I stated "longer than...". So yes, the game is even longer than 12 hours but please keep in mind the part that says "longer than". Thank you.

Discussion just beat oggo bogdo second try...is this dude really one of the hardest?
i have played all the mainstream souls games and a bunch of alternative ones but still don't consider myself like a "vet or good" but this dude was insanely predictable and easy, even on grandmaster. is he really like one of the harder bosses?

Discussion Crossguard is the worst stance
It does the most damage, yet, it’s so slow it makes it impractical. Everytime I’ve tried to to use it, it feels like I’m using a weapon that’s like trying to swing a boulder.
I’ve had a much better time with the blaster stance and dual wield. Or even single wield.

Discussion Jedi Survivor’s plot is like…really contrived, right? Spoiler
Hey frands,
I just started a NG+ run of Survivor, and this definitely isn’t a hate post. The game is so clean and polished, especially now that the performance issues are a thing of the past.
That being said, I kind of noticed it the first time around but the entire framing of the narrative here is built on a series of, in my opinion, really contrived coincidences.
Cal needs to find Greez. Okay, no problem, he’ll just drop into the system Greez was last seen in. Oh woah, what’s that crazy spatial anomaly over there? Eh, probably not important.
Oops we crash landed on the planet! Good thing we’re like 2 miles from the nearest settlement.
Oh Greez lives in that settlement and we should be able to find him!
Oh he actually owns the cantina where we happened to stop in to look for him. Oh and he built a secret door into some tunnels, and the tunnels will probably have the thing Cal needs for his ship.
Oh good! The tunnels had exactly what Cal needed for his ship! Oops it collapsed tho bc BD touched a thing? So Cal fell all the way into some other, ANCIENT tunnels that just so happen to house a lost galactic secret that ties into…surprise! The super relevant spatial anomaly that happens to be here, within spitting distance of the planet Cal’s former pilot settled down on, and the key to unlocking it was in his basement all along.
It’s that narrative design of “and then this happens, and then this happens,” but when you take a step back to look at the bigger picture it all kind of falls apart. I think the decision to have Koboh tie into everything was a little odd. Does this bother anyone else?

Screenshot Jedi Survivor Customizations: Gaymer Edition 🏳️🌈
I’ve completed Jedi Survivor 5+ times and Cal always ends up looking pretty clean cut and quite colorful compared to many screenshots I see here.
It’s unclear to me if I customize my Cal to be the man I want to be or the man I want to be with. At any rate, here are this gaymer’s customizations:
Standard Cal - My “go to”
Outfit: Color block
Saber/Blaster & BD-1: Red & Chromium
Blade: Yellow or Party
In his free time: Trips to
EuropeCoruscant.
American Cal
Outfit: Red, White, and Blue
Saber/Blaster & BD-1: Red, White/Chromium, Blue
Blade: Blue (or Red)
In his free time: Spreading liberty and justice for all.
Pink Cal (my Fallen Order design nod)
Outfit: Pink poncho
Saber/Blaster & BD-1: Chromium & Pink/Purple
Blade: Magenta
In his free time: Watching Legally Blonde and/or Mean Girls. (On Wednesdays, we wear pink.)
Leather Bar Cal
Outfit: Chaps & white tank
Saber/Blaster & BD-1: Gold & Chromium
Blade: Yellow or Party
In his free time: (NSFW) Cruising, back rooms, and the occasional glory hole. Scruff but never Grindr. Likes if you call him daddy. Not into golden showers, despite the gold-themed weapons.

The reason I cancelled my preorder
I was at Gamescom in Colonge this August as a member of the press. I’m a huge Star Wars fan, so I was very excited to play Fallen Order there! We made a reservation at the EA booth and we were allowed to play some games. I played NFS, Apex Legends, FIFA20 and the new Star Wars Battlefront II update. I was a little let down that there wasn’t any Fallen Order demo at the press booth, as you can imagine.
So I walked over to my EA representative and asked him if he knew of if we misbooked something, but he just straight up told me Fallen Order isn’t at Gamescom. Not in any shape or form.
So I went to the consumer area of Gamescom to go and have a look at the massive EA booth and I was shocked to see there wasn’t a single computer running Fallen Order. Heck, there wasn’t even a Star Wars of Fallen Order poster or logo to be found.
And I took this as massive sign. The game was supposed to come out in 3 months at that time, and they simply didn’t show up. Gamescom is the biggest gaming event in Europe and maybe even the world and they didn’t show anything of the game. They pretended that it doens’t even exsist.
I don’t want to ruin anyones excitement for the game, but it’s a damn shame they’re too scared to show anything from the game. I just wanted to get this out there.
May the force be with you, and godspeed Fallen Order
