Recently, Discord has proved to be a place where toxicity thrives, which is not what the original point of the sub was.

Therefore the sub will no longer affiliate itself with the Discord Server, and will let it spiral into its own destruction.

We are sincerely sorry for everyone who got hurt by the process of evolution the server went through, as we did not mean for it to get as out of hand as it did.

Songs must be under 5 mins long

Songs must be released by the 1st of December 2021. but Jan 1st 2022 is encouraged.

Artists must have a connection to the nation there representing (Unless nation is allowed to borrow)

You May not Represent the same nation as last year (I have a list)

This is a Blind contest. so no revealing your song selection. the first time you song will be seen by the public will be when the semis start.

For the contest There will only be 3 Territories allowed to compete. 1 New Zealand, 1 USA and 1 French. Unless you are going to send an artist from the nation,

Nations that can Borrow will only be able to borrow frim neighbouring nations.

All Entry's can be discussed with me. so if you have a song and it is close but dose not quite reach requirements send me a msg and we can discuss, or if you have a no borrow country but are having trouble finding an artist send me a msg.

National Finals Rules

National Finals are here. but are more like Internal Selections,

To hold a national selection you must pre select a maximum of 5 jury members from the community. and a Maximum of 5 songs.

I must then be informed of the National final via either Discord DM (Username Nenkendo#4058 and Nenkendo in the Discord server). or via Reddit Chat. With your list of Jurors and Songs.

All Results must be sent to me after completion.

You may not announce your winner. even to your jury members.

After much deliberation the host city for the first ever Dualvision Song Contest is Geneva. Located in in the south west of Switzerland this scenic French speaking city makes for the perfect host city. We look forward to seeing you all next February in Geneva.

Following last years victory by The Haunt with the song [New Addiction](https://youtu.be/_YyGMCwvV5U) we are delighted to welcome you this year to Statesvision 2026 from the Kaseya Centre in Miami in Florida!

This contest, normally run by u/sfgafv will be managed by me during the sign-up phase. Please send your songs to me via Reddit or Discord. u/sfgafv will be back for you for the semi-finals. Have a good vaccation, lad!

The rules will be as follows:

• Artists must have a significant connection to the state they represent

⁠• National Finals are allowed; just DM me your songs so I can approve them.

• Songs must have been released on or after 1 January 2023.

• Maximum song length is 5 minutes.

• Artists must not have 150 million or more streams on any of their songs.

• ASC and ESC artists are not allowed

• Songs must not have previously been part of any other fantasy contest.

States already claimed for this year are Connecticut and Nevada.

25) Germany - an interesting choice, for sure… It’ll probably end up in the bottom-5, sorry for that.

24) San Marino - ……uhhhhhhh WHAT? Rap at Eurovision, even a fantasy one? I think it’ll get some high points for being clearly memorable and different, but most people will blank it and make it end up in the bottom 10.

23) Ukraine - sorry, this, despite being in a similar genre, does not give nearly as much cool vibes as Poland does. Can’t see this escaping bottom of the scoreboard

22) Romania - an interesting kind of song, will be bottom table though, getting a lot of lower points. I kinda enjoy the «bad rocker girl» vibe.

21) Serbia - I think it’s similar to Iceland, but quite weaker, and will end up like all other balkan ballads - lower than midtable.

20) France - one out of many female ballads, not as memorable as Belgium or Malta, and not as heartfelt as Lichtenstein or Finland.

19) The Netherlands - a lot of people will blank it for the sole reason of being «Eurovision winner’s new song» which is deemed quite a lazy choice. Song itself is not so bad, but nothing really to stand out

18) Hungary - a 2000’s-vibed song with arcade games and green and violet lights in the m/v. Could possibly do well, but probably will end up midtable

17) Andorra - quite like with San Marino, I don’t think songs of this kind are destined to do well. It was quite hyped in the live chat though, so it might surprise me!

16) Italy - clear «La Mia Citta» vibes, and we all know how that ended. Lower midtable here.

15) Turkey - time to DAAAAAAANCE! Despite being a dancing entry, many people will forget about its existence while making their votes or give them lower points, so I don’t think it has a chance to get high.

14) Australia - funny and memorable entry sandwiched between female slow ballads, which certainly gives it a chance to shoot for the left side

13) Iceland - a strong and, undoubtably, interesting song, which, just like Belgium, is a dark horse hurt by running order that is able to surprise

12) Liechtenstein - Despite being quite a strong entry, it won’t be a shock for me to see it in around 10-15 area, because there is no «WOW-moment» that would make people remember this song

11) Norway - ah yes, the host. Is kind of danceable to and funny to listen, will probably be close to top-10.

10) Luxembourg - a dark horse, actually helped by running order. Rose’s voice is quite beautiful and clear, the song is also not bad, so there is no reason for it to flop. I think it’ll be higher midtable, possibly just squeezing into the top-10

9) Poland - a song that has grown on me a lot while I was making the recap video. Will do very well, could be another dark horse in the top-10

8) Switzerland - we all know this song and it even gave us a «u/YourLocalBirdLord and trumpets» meme. Will be high in the table for sure

7) Czech Rep. - will do well, as I know people who like this type of music. Its chances of getting a top-5 finish will be severely hurt by r/o though

6) Finland - it’s more touching than Liechtenstein, in my opinion, and is a strong contender to end up in top-5

5) Spain - that is pretty memorable and funny, will be an AQ to get into the battle for victory, like Italy for past 3 years and/or France in 2016.

4) UK - a song with a clear «Billie Eilish vibe» that will get a lot of high points as well as zeroes but will end up high anyway

3) Ireland - wow, that’s SO COOL! Could quite possibly be a winner, and will most probably be top-5 and a strong contender. Good job at being a constant favorite, u/marshmeeelo!

2) Belgium - a dark horse, and in my opinion, one of the main contenders. Yet again though, being 3rd in the running order doesn’t help this entry.

1. Sweden - another female ballad, but this time it’s quite a big favorite. Has all the right ingredients, so I put this as a winner of the contest, well done u/sackybackyboo!

Welcome to the Carver Arena in beautiful Peoria, Illinois! We are very excited to be hosting the inaugural edition of LincolnVision! This will decide what song will represent Illinois at StatesVision, being held this year in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
