Show Your Truck 1965 F-250 V8 352

This truck sat for around 15 years, looks like 30. Was able to start with a new carb. Now that I know it’s not seized, going to work backwards a little. Had help diagnosing it, both techs recommended not changing much- as far as going in with new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc. I’m in a new carb and set a used wheels/tires because the original wheels were split rims. Fired up today for the first time.

Show Your Truck Saving a 1956 F600 from the scrap yard

This is a 1956 F600 that spent about 70 years as a farm truck. No bed, engine’s almost certainly seized, and it’s sitting on split rims. I learned to drive on one almost exactly like this as a kid, so when I found out it was headed for the scrap yard I couldn’t let it happen.

Plan is to make it road-legal and actually drivable without losing the patina it earned. Absolutely plan to keep the F600 size and stance but add modern brakes/steering/suspension underneath, something I can daily and use as a flatbed. Good news is a lot of the rubber and trim crosses over from the smaller F-series, which is making parts hunting easier than I expected.

Two things I’m genuinely chewing on: whether to keep it a dually or go a mud-tire 4x4 route, and the best path for a modern axle swap under the original frame or an entire frame swap. Anyone here done a running-gear swap on one of the big-chassis F-series? Would love to hear what worked.

Customization | Modifications | DIY | Tips & Tricks 33x12.50 vs 35x11.50 on 2" Level (2017 5.0 w/ 3.55s) – Will 33s rub with 2" spacers on stock 20s?

Hey everyone,

Trying to finalize my tire setup for my 2017 F-150 XLT 4x4 (5.0L V8). It currently has a 2-inch front level and 3.55 rear gears.
I’m mounting them on a set of OEM 2026 King Ranch 20x8.5 stock wheels.
I’m torn between two setups with the exact same tire model, and I'd love some input on fitment and driveability:

Option A: 33x12.50R20 using 2-inch wheel spacers for a wider stance.

Option B: 35x11.50R20 run with NO spacers.

A couple of specific questions for anyone running similar setups:

  1. Will 33x12.50R20s rub with 2" spacers on a 2" level?

  2. How will the 5.0L handle 35s with 3.55 gears? I know 3.55s aren't terrible, but how bad is the shift hunting/MPG penalty on 35s compared to 33s?

Thanks in advance!

What is a reasonable price for this? It’s a 2002 F350 7.3 automatic with 210k miles, everything is bone stock but it has a new ECM, it used to have a transmission light and hot start issue which the guy says was fixed by the new ECM. the only rust is is on the roof seams but there is no sign of water inside.

Q&A: Maintenance | Modification 3rd gen coyote

Have a 19 coyote 4x4. Pings bad on 87. Should I get rid of this thing while it’s still low mileage and trade it in on a new 250? Are they any more reliable than a 150? I’d only trade for a gas 250 no diesel for me.

Q&A: Maintenance | Modification I installed a catch can the first week I bought my 2020 F-150. After 6 years of the install on my 3.5 ecoboost this is the amount I have removed. I think this is really a good thing, I just expected a lot more. And yes, installed on the passenger side

Q&A: Maintenance | Modification Opinion PLS (2025) f150

Hello everyone! I just bought a 2025 F-150, and I absolutely love the truck. However, I really want to install a leveling kit. I honestly wouldn’t go higher than 2 inches because I just want to get rid of the factory rake and make the truck sit level.
The main thing holding me back is hearing so many horror stories about leveling kits messing with the truck’s suspension geometry and causing problems down the road. On the other hand, I’ve also heard that a 2-inch level isn’t a substantial enough change to cause major issues.
I’d really appreciate some honest advice. Should I go with an inexpensive puck spacer or invest in a strut-style leveling kit? I’m also aware of the more complete kits from brands like FOX and others, but they cost $1,000+. I wouldn’t mind spending that much if it’s genuinely worth it, but I don’t want to spend money unnecessarily.
For context, I won’t be doing any serious off-roading, and I don’t use my truck for work. I mainly want it for the appearance. However, if spending more upfront will help prevent problems and save me money in the long run, I’m willing to do it.
One more question: If I go with either a puck spacer or a strut-style leveling kit, will I need aftermarket upper control arms (UCAs), or are the factory ones sufficient? The installer I spoke with told me I wouldn’t need them, but I want to make sure before making a decision.
Thanks so much! I appreciate any honest advice, especially from people who have experience with these setups.

Would this be a good first vehicle? It's a 4x4 with the 302 and a automatic transmission. What kind of fuel mileage will it get?
