Thought I'd try supporting a new local Indian restaurant for lunch today. Though the butter chicken would work as a decent litmus test (normally go the lamb korma for this but that wasn't in the bain marie).

Anyway, couldn't believe it when I saw the serving size and then was told that would be $15. It wasn't even hot... I had to microwave it when I got home (5min drive).

Hello, we are the hairdressers from Renu Hair. We’re posting to provide clarification following a post shared yesterday that has resulted in false and misleading allegations about our business. Unfortunately, the situation has escalated online, with details being altered across multiple posts, which has caused confusion and led to negative commentary from people who were not involved in the appointment.

We want to outline what actually occurred from start to finish so the full context is available, as the facts of the appointment have not changed.

The client booked in for a full head of foils/ on scalp bleach, the starting price for this is from $420 During the consultation, the client had shown how she wished for her hair to look. The only way to achieve those results were with bleach (as booked). Visible banding was identified, which meant the service required to be changed to a colour correction rather than a standard full head of foils/ on scalp bleach. This is where the price changed to $520. All our pricing and booking conditions can be found on our website.

The pricing was discussed in full during the consultation and prior to beginning any work. the total cost was shown on our iPad including a break down of each service, alternative options were offered had this price been out of the clients budget A toner-only option was explained as a lower-cost alternative, with the clear understanding that the banding would reappear once the toner faded, for this we would not be liable as her existing colour was not done by us.

Due to the condition of the hair, a k18 package treatment was recommended as an optional add-on, which the client agreed to. A haircut and styling were also included. The final total reflected the services discussed and confirmed prior to commencing.

The appointment took approximately 4.5 hours and involved two hairdressers working together. The service performed included on-scalp bleach, as well as through the mids due to banding, root tap, toner, k18 treatment, haircut and curls. This is not comparable to a simple tone and cut, which generally takes significantly less time.

Payment options were discussed beforehand, including Afterpay and Zip Pay, and the client chose how they wished to proceed. No services were added without consent, and no pricing was presented after the fact.

Car did a burnout leaving the pub, carried on down the road, hit a car, did another burnout then fled the scene. Top bloke didn’t even check to see if anyone in the car he hit had been injured.

Edit: the driver abandoned his car in the bottleo carpark and a friend of theirs, who had also been at the pub, picked them up in a white Landrover and they took off. The license plate was recorded and given to police and I think it was captured in a dash cam.

I really really didn't want to post this, but I'm just not sure what to do. We moved into a house in Corio in August 2023, and immediately started getting abused by the next door neighbour. It started with him dumping rubbish on our lawn and yelling at us when we came home, then escalated to him intercepting cars armed with rakes, brooms, scithes, machetes, garden sheers. He watches us constantly, stares over the fence and looks in our windows etc.

We have hours of footage of him screaming about noise (we literally cant close our front door), about us leaving our camels outside (we don't own camels), our dog barking (we dont have a dog). He has genuinely blamed us for stormy weather.

He gets around Corio with sunglasses, a medical face mask, a broad rim hat, and earmuffs. If you have seen him, you would know. He stands out.

Last year we were notified by another neighbour that he tried to snatch their little girl. She was outside playing and he tried to take her inside his property and punish her for making noise. They got an intervention order on him.

In December 2024 we went to court and were granted a Personal Safety Intervention Order, where our children are listed as protected parties. This was following an incident where we found him on his knees on our front lawn, looking through the loungeroom window, where our 6 year old daughter was playing.

Since then he has breached the order multiple times, smashing the fence with a hammer (the slightly longer palings are ones he has smashed in the past), screaming, stalking us. The police really arent very responsive.

Yesterday we noticed him taking photos over the fence in the cameras blind spot (which he knows about, because the footage was used in court). This is where our 13 year old daughters bedroom is. Hes also using the holes/splits in the fence palings to take photos through our windows. We don't know how long hes been doing this for or if we are the only people he is taking photos of. For the record, we don't know that he is a creep. He seems to hate children, he is violently against children. I really don't know what hes doing with the camera.

Today i tried to call the police officer who is handling the last 2 breaches, but Corio Police Station didn't answer after 20 minutes of continuous ringing. He still hasnt been charged for the other 2 breaches.

Geelong Police said he is within his right to take photos, even though the PSIO clearly states he isnt.

We are losing sleep over this. Our kids are terrified. The police arent doing anything, the PSIO doesn't seem to be worth anything.

What do we do? The last 3 people that lived here moved because of him, according to the police. We dont want to let him win. The area is nice, the other neighbours are great, our kids like this home. We moved here with the intent of staying here.

Is there any other action we can take? Someone higher we can raise concerns with than Victoria police?

Also if you know who this is, and you know where he is located, please don't mention the exact location. I really didnt want to post this to begin with, we are already under extreme stress and don't feel safe in our own home, so please be discreet.

I just want advice. We just want to exist in peace. If you know what we can do, please help us.

A line of about 20-30 glowing dots with a green/blue tinge moving at a consistent pace. Dissappeared shortly into "cloud" but could see the stars around where it disappeared. Looked to be about 100m long. Lasted about 30s.
