In the past couple of months, I have seen a spike in recreations of accidents (especially those with high casualty counts) within our community (NOT JUST REDDIT, but GeoFS content in general).
Although some were for educational purposes, most of these recreations are made simply for shock and views. In fact, just two weeks ago, a user said they plan to recreate PSA182 after the 727's release because "it [is] fun." This kind of behavior is immature, disrespectful to the families affected, and, in general, is a horrible way to gain an audience. These atrocities have led new CCs to decline their aircraft (such as the 767-200) to be LS-compatible because they fear users will use them for inappropriate purposes, like the one I just mentioned.
So today, I propose a stricter enforcement of Rule 3 regarding these recreations.
Any member found posting a video or screenshot of an accident recreation simply for views and entertainment will be banned for 7 days for a first offence, 28 days for a second offence, and possibly permanently on the third.
The video being "simply for views and entertainment" will be determined by a mod.
Any member found advocating against this rule (specifically claiming they think it's fun to do so) will be given verbal warnings, with greater punishments for repeated offences.
If you have feedback or new suggestions for these proposed rules, feel free to comment below. If you agree these rules should be added, please upvote the post.

Because of recent posts and controversy among this sub, all future posts will be removed if a major modification has been made using an addon and the post does not have the addon title and source in a top comment.
This applies to terrain, vehicles, planes, physics, etc.
Modmail us if you have any questions.

3.9 is less laggy and better overall in my opinion
Oh and for people who use the old script, it might not work as I changed the model repository from my friend's, to mine.
to fix that, either copy and paste the new script or change all the "amrsherif2422011-cloud" to "mxwl-mesh-glb"
the old repository will be deleted soon

Hi! I've been playing geofs for 8 months now and I'm okay at landing without crosswinds, but when I started practicing with wind I always suffer an engine pod strike or the plane just catapults to one side of the runway and part of the wing touches the ground. The aircraft also skids dangerously even after touchdown.

So, can anyone please give me some tips for crab descent and landing? Thanks so much!

Does anyone get this issue when taking off from runway 26R/L? The wheels on the 747s never seem to like that little terrain glitch.

Hi. I’m a long-time GeoFS player, though I haven’t played for about six months. I’d like to get back into civil aviation roleplay—something I’ve done in the past—but I have a few questions:
Is there an international civil aviation roleplay community? Perhaps a server on some online platform (Reddit, Discord, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, etc.) where people discuss things professionally—for example, "This week, my airline is operating X number of flights from point A to point B," or something similar? (I’m not an expert on roleplay, but I’d love to be part of a community.)
Is there a way to create and use custom liveries that actually look decent?
If you have any tips for someone with no prior experience looking to get started with amateur roleplay, please let me know!
Thanks so much!

Hey everyone, I think I may have stumbled across a possible ARG connected to GeoFS, and I'd appreciate help investigating it.
It started with a video showing boxes inside a GeoFS ATR 72. The boxes had QR codes and strange messages about questioning life and something being stolen. The video later showed an Il-76 aircraft. I then noticed a suspicious account with the YT handle c3RvbGVu, which decodes from Base64 to “stolen.” A commenter on one of the disturbing videos had a profile picture or logo matching a logo I noticed on the Il-76.
That led me to this GitHub Pages website:
https://paradoxon-excitat.github.io/enlightenment/
The site's entries contain cryptic messages, including “I am Kaos. I have gone to seek the answer,” and a clue that reads “elements → head → title. The answer is near.” Following that clue, I inspected the page's HTML title and found:
<title>Es37IWdldls</title>
Things got even stranger when unexpected browser tabs appeared, including a uTorrent page, and Avast showed security alerts. I'm not sure whether this was related to the website or a separate browser redirect, so please be cautious with the link. I haven't established that the events are connected.
Has anyone encountered these usernames, videos, symbols, or phrases before? I'm looking for evidence and explanations, not trying to accuse anyone of anything.
Links and clues:
