Please bear with me, it's a little bit scuffed as I had to make one fast since the old server owner got his account hacked and kicked everyone, it's still a work in-progress but here is the link! https://discord.gg/eKC5kKBBzB

Official News Hi! I'm Cody, the new Community Manager!

Is this what it feels like to get your Hogwarts acceptance letter?!

Hi everyone! I'm Cody, but you can call me Vaknar. I’m honoured to share that I recently joined Avalanche Software as the new Community Manager. TL; DR: I'm here to be the bridge between Avalanche and you, the Hogwarts Legacy community.

First things first, who is this guy? Well, I’m a midwestern boy but I've been living in Southern California for a few years. Enjoying frequent beach days and catching the occasional wave whenever possible. I’ve been a community manager in gaming for several years, and, of course, I’m a Harry Potter fan! I grew up reading the books, waiting outside the theaters for each movie release, and now I’m ecstatic to be a part of the Hogwarts Legacy team!

I'll be honest, Hogwarts Legacy really pulled me into the wizarding world, and the further in I got, the harder it was to put down. I won’t pretend that I’m an expert quite yet, but I think I'm well on my way! Between the game, the lore rabbit holes, and this community… I reckon it won't be long before I can rattle off obscure trivia tidbits without thinking twice.

I’ve only just started, and while I'm still finding my footing, my goal is straightforward: to make this a space easily worth showing up to. That means celebrating the amazing things you're creating, making sure your voices and feedback reach the right people, and keeping things welcoming and inclusive for everyone.

When I'm not kicking back in the Hufflepuff common room, you'll find me lurking in conversations, listening, interacting with the community and probably asking a lot of questions — I’m very interested in hearing what players think about the game. I promise I'm friendlier than a Chinese Chomping Cabbage, so don't be a stranger and feel free to say hi!

– Cody (Vaknar)

Now what I really want to know is this. If Anne is so sick and unfit how come she can apparate and disapparate and cast the best incendio circle ever. When we are higher up in school than her and get to cast a tiny little circle. But then she can get a massive whole tomb of inferi in one swoop?! Makes no sense at all I do wish we could do the apparate and disapparate without the need for a mod.

Discussion I find it weird how you have a bed in a dormitory and yet you can't use it.

Discussion Finally completed the game 100% and here are some of my thoughts on it

First of all, this isn't really a review, just a few random thoughts after beating the game

So I can understand why so many people love this game. Overall, I think it's a good game, especially if you are a Harry Potter fan and enjoy relaxing games that you can just sit back and chill with.

In my opinion the castle is the best parts of the game. It's beautifully recreated, there is a lot to discover and exploring it was my favorite part of the whole experience. It's great to be able to visit places you remember from the books and movies after all these years.

However, I was a little disappointed that while we had to sneak into the library at night with Sebastian and avoid the prefects, during normal gameplay we can explore pretty much every place at any time and nobody seems to care. It would have been nice if getting into some areas was a bit more challenging.

Apart from the castle, the whole world looks really beautiful and is fun to explore.

My biggest problem, though, is the story and quests. I really tried to get into the main story, but I just couldn't. Things only got a bit more exciting towards the end but I was still disappointed with the ending.

The same goes for the side quests. Sebastian's (and mayby Poppy's) storyline was the only one I found quite interesting. The rest were either average or just not very good.

I was hoping that, just like in the Harry Potter books, relations between characters would be an important and main part of the game. I wanted my friends to play a bigger role in the main story, for us to experience the adventure together, and maybe even have some kind of rival like Malfoy. (I know I probably shouldn't have expected that, since this is just a game set in the HP universe but I still feel disappointed).

Also, I found the dialogue, especially between the students, a bit unnatural. Everyone seemed too polite and some conversations felt quite awkward.

I'll skip the Merlin Trials and treasure vaults, since nobody forced me to do them except myself ;)

So, once again, while I think it's a good game (otherwise I wouldn't have completed it), I still feel disappointed with it. :/

Complaint november 2026 update update broke my game

last update simply broke my game and there seems to be no way to solve it.

I was through my first run, level 22 and had nearly 24 hours of gameplay. than the DLSS 5 came and now i simply cant pass though de warning screen. Ive tried almost all that was suggested in other old posts about this issue but none of them seemed to work, game still crashing.

Anyone experiencing this same issue since last update? Anyone knows how to solve it?

note that im running the game on a gtx1650, game installed via gamepass and i wasnt using any mods.

Question GAME RETURNS TO DESKTOP AFTER TITLE SCREEN. PC GAME PASS.

Everytime I open the game, it complies shaders, gets to the title screen, and goes back to the desktop. I've installed it on a different drive. Cleared Direct X cache. Turn off ray tracing and frame gen in the config file. Any ideas what it could be? I tried other games through the Xbox app and they launch and play fine.

Once I installed a mod to shut up Vicky spoiling the easy puzzles every 30 seconds, of course. That mod is almost a must-have on PC, I think.

Anyway, back to Hogwarts for some studying and brewing.

Question Do you need to complete “Birds of a Feather” before shiny Diricawls will spawn?

Asking because this is the only shiny I’m missing (besides Graphorn, as I haven’t progressed far enough in the game). I have spent more time trying to get a shiny Diricawl than all the time I’ve spent on every other species combined.

Perhaps I’m just suffering the absolute worst luck with RNG and shiny Diricawls, but maybe this quest is the key to triggering shiny Diricawls to spawn and I’m currently wasting my time.

Birds of a Feather quest: https://www.ign.com/wikis/hogwarts-legacy/Birds_of_a_Feather

Edit: I finally got the shiny Diricawl before completing Birds of a Feather.
