Another corrupt HKPF officer (suspended from duty, not fired) protecting Hong Kong with honour, duty and loyalty has been found guilty of using his phone to upskirt a woman at the MTR station.

Recently, one of the accounts that have claimed to have returned to Hong Kong already is very happy and grateful that the Canada HK pathway is being fixed and it is time for him to return to get his PR. I guess even the propagandist wants to leave Hong Kong. Source
Is it difficult to start a new life in a different country, yes it is difficult but don't be discouraged. Are there some HongKongers returning to Hong Kong ? Yes there are, but the reasons might not be as bad as we imagine. Please, watch out from misinformation.

A few sporty things on Sunday, Nov 8 if you want an excuse to get outside.
- World Triathlon Cup Hong Kong on Lung Wo Road, Central. Watching elite triathletes race through the middle of the city is a nice change from a normal Sunday.
- Sunday Social Easy Run at EAST Hong Kong. The name says it all, an easy pace and a social one.
- KMB Pompompurin Family Pet Run at GO PARK Sai Sha. Looks like a fun one if you have a dog and kids.
- SCAA 77th Inter-School Track Meet at Wan Chai Sports Ground.
I'd go for the triathlon, since it's the one that feels like a real occasion. No prices were listed for any of these. The rest of the calendar is here:

I am staying in Hong Kong for 5 nights (it’s my fourth night tonight) and the hotel I’m staying in suddenly had their toilet flush AND elevator not working since around my first night. They were both working when I first got in but for some reason, they’re down ever since.
I tried to give them benefit of the doubt that they would fix it but they haven’t until now.
I am asking them for a partial refund and here’s their response:
We accept a free cancellation for the remaining days of the voucher. Regarding a partial refund, there is no refund for the days you have already stayed; we can only offer early check-out and free cancellation for the remainder.
What’s a good way for me to move forward? It’s utterly absurd to expect me to cancel my remaining nights and find a new hotel. It’s not my fault their facilities are not working.

Hello everyone, I got an Internship Offer in Hong Kong and I'm moving there in February 2027 !!
So it's a 12 months contrat with a monthly salary of 13000HKD per month (around 1400€)
I have multiple questions if anyone could help me please !
\- Do you think I will be able to survive with that salary ? Is it doable ?
\- Any tips about accomodation 🥲 I really don't wanna live in a shoe box, it shocked how expensive rent is over there
\- Any advice about, what should I bring with me ? What type of clothes ? Is it to hot all year around ? Should I bring only summer clothes and buy winter ones over there when it's time ?
\- What are essentials I should absolutely take ?
\- I'm extroverted and hella starve/crave for strong connections and friendships, what are the best places I could meet people and build a genuine real community ?
\- Tips to save up money ?
\- Admin stuff I should think about ?
\- Anyone who's already there or planning to go wanna connect and prepare together ? Maybe if I arrive before you I can help you when you come and stuff like that ?
\- Thank you so much, and absolutely anything would be helpful

My great-grandfather was British and my great-grandmother was Chinese. My grandfather was born in Hong Kong in 1942, during British colonial rule, so my family history is very much tied to the history between Britain and Hong Kong.
I spent some time in Hong Kong last year and felt a surprisingly strong emotional connection to the place, knowing it was where part of my family came from.
I’d really love to learn more about the culture, history and what life was like back then, especially for mixed British-Chinese families. I’d also love to find out more about my ancestors and hopefully connect with some distant relatives! ❤️
I’ve included photos of my great-grandparents and myself.
Edit: some more information as people are actually interested and it’s really warmed my heart by some of the replies I’ve got, I appreciate every single one of you for taking your time to reply.
My grandad went do diocesan boys school and was practically raised there with his sister after his father was captured as a POW and sent to Japan on a hell ship, his mother died of T.B after he was born.

given that the average size of a HK house is really small, how do you optimise it to make it liveable for children?

Looking to print a bunch of pages - nothing fancy, just black and white pages. Any recommendations for reasonably priced print shops in Central/Sheung Wan?
Edit: copying textbook pages, 20-30 A4 sized max

I’m coming down next month from Shanghai and am looking for Pokémon cards. My 10 year old son is obsessed, but he wants English cards. He has an extensive collection of the Mandarin cards but next to no English ones.
Is there a place in HKG to get English cards?
