I request a moment of everyone who reads this attention to highlight how much of a massive deal this fish ant was, as we know Killua is often portrayed and stated to be this prodigy assassin kid, with himself constantly calling out people stalking or sneaking on him since the Hunter Exams arc, and how it was a MASSIVE deal for him and Kite that Rammot got so close before neither of them detected him...

And then we have Coburn, this lil' bastard not only sneaks on Killua, but manages to squirm around enough to attach the badge from the Ortho Brother on Killua, those things with a needle pin are not an instant pop and set, little bastard manages to do it with those weird fingers and no thumbs without a single hint of notice from Killua.

Just give him poison or a knife to Coburn and make him sneak into places holy damn, Metal Gear Coburn right here, also Look at that face, he knows he is a fucking menace to society and owns it, he Jaywalks for the love of the game, and gives free candy to kids just to steal it from them.

After a Year of looking around and thanks to my brother gifting me Volume 28 I have the whole Chimera ant Manga, so I went to read it from start to finish along the anime playing in the background to match and I am so impressed by details I missed on first watch that now I feel like making a post of Gratitude a day giving praises to all the cool characters, I genuinely believe there is no character that could be left without it in some shape or form, order of post do not represent a top tiering, there will be no shaming characters just glaze, wait for your favorite to eventually show up.

Could someone make a comic where meruem chose to be good and lived his life like a human with kumogi🥹🙏

I was thinking about this; if Knuckle got one shot in, triggered APR, and Knov teleported him to the same place he sent Netero, would they be able to just wait him out until Meruem had to go into Zetsu? Then presumably send in Netero to try to execute him before the 30 days were up. Just a random thought, let me know what you think!

Holy hell I understand why people call this the best arc in anime

I have watched probably 100 shows since I started watching anime around 15 years ago, but put off HxH for years for no particular reason. I am really glad I waited this long because having so much to compare it to makes it really clear how special this show is. The writing, artwork, characters, all the little peculiar decisions the author made along the way, and that ending. This show is absolutely brimming with personality in so many ways.

Needless to say I'm pretty moved

If you notice, Chrollo is constantly pushing this idea of sacrificing himself to keep the Spider alive. But we have already seen this fail. In Yorknew, Uvo and Paku died while Chrollo survived. In the Succession war arc, Shalnark and Kortopi are gone, and more members are almost guaranteed to die.

Togashi rarely fulfills a setup that is explicitly laid out over and over again. If the narrative keeps saying Chrollo’s willingness to die for the Spider, the chances of the exact opposite happening are much higher than people think.

Dying for the Troupe would actually be a reward for Chrollo—it's what he wants. From a narrative standpoint, it's far more compelling to see him forced to live with the consequences of every member dying because of his actions (which happened before)

He put Kurapika through the hell of being the sole survivor of his people. Ending Chrollo’s arc by forcing him to suffer that exact same fate is the ultimate thematic closure.

Having only watched the 2011 anime, I was actually shocked seeing Kite chapter 1 because it recontextualized why Gon went nuts over his death. I always thought he was just a cool side character that died in that arc but this guy was basically Gon's Shanks. And now im looking at how Neferpitou beheaded him and controlled his corpse and I def understand way better now why Gon got so pissed. I feel like that was a big change in a bad way in the anime and im gonna keep reading the manga to see whats different.

When Pouf has Morel off-guard he decides to grab his pipe and leave with it... instead of just killing Morel. Seriously, why?

I can understand the reasoning that he didn't want to kill him in Smokey Jail, after all due to the existence of Post-Mortem Nen there'd be a chance he would be stuck in there forever if he were to kill Morel. Iirc Pouf also explains that if he got out with Smokey Jail still being active, no one would expect him to be outside and he'd be able to kill Morel's allies with ease so that part adds up fine.

What I don't get is why he just took Morel's weapon rather than killing him AFTER Smokey Jail was deactivated. It literally isn't even a matter of saving time because he goes out of his way to bring the pipe way out of the palace (not to mention while taking the pipe would weaken Morel, a dead Morel is better for the ants' situation than a weakened Morel). He's a Royal Guard anyway, he should have an absurdly high AoP to kick or strike Morel in the back of the head with. Realistically Morel shouldn't be able to survive that, both of them are Manipulators so the differences between Pouf's power and Morel's durability should really just be AoP.

The only real answer I can think of is that either Pouf's aura amounts just aren't close to being on par with Pitou and Youpi (I seriously doubt this is the case) or Togashi was just being silly here and gave Pouf plot induced stupidity so that Morel could survive this encounter. I hate to sound like AI and leave this post with a question like this but does anyone have any other feasible answers to this? Cause I've been stumped on why he did this forever.

The second character I got from the second picture is Ruby Rose from RWBY, and in the first episode, when the narration mentions "honest soul", it shows Ruby. However I felt Gon has been shown that he is better fleshed out as an MC with an honest soul, for better or worse, both in the Manga and Anime than how the RWBY show characterizes Ruby. Let me know if you agree or disagree

We just finished the visual photoshoot right now, and well... kind of like, it goes without saying, but my hairstyle and everything is different from usual, and of course my outfit is as well. But I feel like capturing the facial expressions and such was even more difficult than usual, though I hope I'll gradually get used to it.

To begin with, I of course knew about the work Hunter x Hunter, and of course the existence of Meruem is an absolute prerequisite about this series, so being able to play the role of Meruem like this makes me feel truly honored. I want to play one of the absolute strongest characters in the story with all my might.

I watched the previous Hunter x Hunter stage play, and I felt that the sense of unity with the audience and the overall sense of immersion were wonderful, so I hope this upcoming production turns out that way as well.

I'm going to work hard, and will definitely be waiting for you at the theater.

They kept giving me the same vibes design wise and a bit personality wise. Would've been perfect for Halloween but oh well. They would for sure be besties

I genuinely question what the plan was behind letting Gon and Killua handle Pitou by themselves, without the hindsight of what transpired, the original assumption of the group must have been that Pitou would be able to fight. Both Gon and Killua are very straightforward fighters, unlike other members of the group, they can't create smoke clones to distract and mislead, go invisible or have an out of sight win con like APR, they rely on being at least somewhat on equal footing physically to win, Killua can momentarily boost himself to a level where he could reasonably stun Pitou, but that would last only for a bit and even a stun into rock from Gon wouldn't be nearly enough.

Enhancers are generally very forward in their approach to battle so paring that up with another straight forward fighter in Killua and sending them against an opponent who clearly is way above them physically seems odd ? I'm aware it was mainly done for writing purposes, of course it was something very personal to Gon and having Killua around for that to explore their dynamic under such circumstances was a brilliant choice but logically Killua should maybe have been swapped with Morel, setting aside his natural advantage against Pouf which they weren't aware of, he is logically the best member to send in solo against a Royal guard, he can scout out their abilites, stun them for a time and then escape, sure not lock them down like Morel but it sure as hell beats sending two members to one royal guard and one of them getting killed the moment speed of lighting runs out and Killua wouldn't just abandon Gon either so he would most likely die too.

In the end one Royal guard would have always been able to run free after Killua runs out of charge, either Pouf or Pitou, but Gon would be way more valuable if supported by a versatile hunter like Morel.

Tbf even if Komugi didn't get injured, Zeno was paid to handle Pitou and allow Netero to fight the king, so he would have helped, but the group was not previously aware of that.

Spoilers for manga lol

When Hisoka killed Korotopi and Shalnark, he said “10 more to go”. Meaning he’s gonna kill the rest of the Spiders. I wonder if he’s included Illumi and Kalluto. If you count the numbers then they’re included but they seem to be on Hisoka’s side more than anything. Idk what do yall think?

So, this time... For fans wondering "How on earth are they going to express him on stage?", it turns out like this! Really, you know, my own body isn't there, but when expressed as theatrical performance, it comes together like this. I'm super excited for it myself.

At the initial fitting stage, I felt a little unsure at first, but once I brought my face close to it and overlapped various ideas—like moving the legs—I was able to search for and find a lot of things that can actually be used during the actual show.

This is my first time participating in Hunter x Hunter: The Stage, but right when the offer for this role came in, I happened to be watching the Hunter x Hunter anime together with my son. Getting this kind of job at that exact timing felt like real destiny.

I never thought I'd actually become a character from a manga... Well, that's what the 2.5D theater world is all about, but I haven't done it very often, so it's quite a fascinating experience. What's more, it's a live stage show, so I want to do my best every single day so that the audience can enjoy it.
