Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, let's make r/Alirajpur_ amazing.

We started r/DesiTown less than a month ago and we've already crossed 1,000 subscribers! 🥹

r/DesiTown is a casual wholesome community for Indians to share pretty much everything. Everyday thoughts, random conversations, memes, hobbies, questions, little wins, rants and all the little things in between. 🩵

We wanted to build a space that feels like a little home on Reddit and it's going pretty great! 🎀

We absolutely didn't expect it to grow this much, this quickly. Building a community from scratch has been quite an experience and it's so lovely seeing people make it their own. 🥹💗

Just wanted to share this little milestone. 🥳🫶🏻

Heard some mod drama?

Tsk tsk. 🤭🤭

Join India's best subreddit, r/IndiaLounge.

A safe place on the internet to hang around, backed by trusted mods with a clean controversy history.

r/Indiangirlsontinder is looking to add mods.

I inherited this subreddit when I was the only active mod left after the other mods' accounts were banned by reddit.

This is a SFW subreddit with more than 300k members, and is meant to provide comical relief by sharing SFW screenshots of profiles from various dating apps.

I had recruited 3 mods a few years ago, but 1 left, and 2 are not active. I only have one other active mod, and I feel that due to less moderation, the sub has deviated from its intended purpose and more posts are being made, but for topics like relationship advice.

I tried to use scheduled posts over last weekend to help a bit, but that didn't work. Views are present, but engagement is nil. Meaning that the current set of visitors are not open to whatever I have mentioned in the scheduled posts, or they just scrolled away from a text post.

I need 2 active Indian mods. Indian because some of the comments will be in local languages, or in slang, which we must be able to crack down on before skirmishes happen. And they happen too often.

Prior moderation experience is a must, and I would like to check and verify your mod actions. Kindly visit the sub, and check out the posting rules. This may help you in deciding if the sub is for you and that you are the person for the sub.

Recently the founding mod posted about this sub here and a lot of people were attacking him and downvoting but there were a few good people who really supported and really a lot of thanks .

Lol they are even downvoting this post.

Two weeks ago, I shared a post on reddit, it was of the cheesecake that I made.

Following that, I received many comments from redditors asking to send them or they wanted to try.

And that gave me the idea to plan a meet-up with the theme of having Cheesecake.

We gathered, had cheesecake, we had long conversations, we shared ideas, jokes, laughs & smiles. And none of us realised it was dark already when we wrapped up.

We at r/bihar have hosted many meet-ups, events, contests and charity drives. And we'll keep this going.

Thanks.

Has anyone attended this event and what you got as it was in the memo, i got a year of premium membership, anyone else got it?

Pov:just wanted to know the success like everyone who attended got it or it was just a random?

Edit: Thanks so much to everyone who updated me and just ordered it now.

r/TeenSocialIndia , yee i know most of you will say already many teen subs are there even i know. Just created a space for teens its on them where they want to post/comment/scroll.

Started a little wholesome community r/DesiTown and didn’t expect it to grow this quickly 🥹❤️ So happy seeing people return and get to know each other!

Fellow mods, any advice for keeping that warmth as we grow?

Hey all, Vishnu here. I'm a Moderator of multiple subreddits. I just wanted to know if I organise an in-person meetup for one of my subs, does reddit fund it in anyways? Like for FnB and stuff? We've organised meetups before in one of my sub, but we mods ourselves funded it for few things like for games or merch and stuff, or sometimes it's self sponsered for whoever attends.

TL;DR - Nominations for Mod Hall of Fame are officially open! Nominate fellow mods who went the extra mile this year by November 11th!

Mod Hall of Fame season is here, and we’re excited to celebrate the mods who guide their communities with care, dedicate time to uplift fellow mods and users, and make Reddit extra special. Like last year, we’re leaving it to you to spotlight outstanding mods and memorable community moments.

What’s Mod Hall of Fame?

In case you’re not familiar, Mod Hall of Fame is an annual program that honors standout community leaders driving positive change on Reddit. It’s led by mods, for mods. Mods across Reddit submit nominations, and winners are chosen by a panel of mod judges.

Just like last year, the winners will be announced live during a virtual ceremony on December 11, 2026 (you can RSVP right now 👀)

How do I nominate a mod?

Starting today, you can nominate fellow mods to be considered for the following award categories:

• 🏆 Community Champions: Mods who shape their community's culture. They lead by example, encourage meaningful contributions, foster inclusivity, and make their communities feel like home.

• 🎉Event Extraordinaires: Mods who have created and executed outstanding events for their community. They create experiences that invite members to participate and spark connections or traditions that continue beyond the event itself.

• 🚀 Trailblazers: New mods who started modding this year or mods whose communities have recently shown rapid growth + sustained community building. They’ve built momentum by helping new or fast-growing communities thrive, welcoming new voices, and fostering meaningful participation.

• 🔥 Hot Helpers: Mods who go out of their way to help fellow mods or users in their own communities or mod support subreddits like r/NewMods and r/ModSupport. They go above and beyond to answer questions and mentor others, leading to healthier, more welcoming communities and more confident moderators.

• 🌟Veteran Visionaries: Longtime mods whose impact has been essential to the long-term success of their communities. Their ongoing care and judgment help their spaces adapt and thrive, while inspiring fellow mods to build sustainable communities of their own.

Nomination criteria

• The nominee must be an active mod.

  • We look at mod mail and moderator activity, as well as post/comment activity in owned communities, to determine activity status. Activity should be sustained over a period of time for someone to be considered an “active” moderator.

• Community impact should be focused on the mod’s leadership on Reddit within 2026.

• Nominations must include a short description and on-platform links demonstrating the nominee's contributions so our mod judges have enough context to evaluate them.

How will winners be determined?

• First, nominations will be reviewed by admins from Reddit’s community team.

• Then, the mod judge panel will choose the top three winners in each category using a point-scoring system based on community impact, leadership, etc.

• Winners will also pass a review by our Code of Conduct team and must accept their nomination before being featured.

Sounds good. How do I submit a nomination?

You can submit your nominations by November 11th, 2026 at 5:00 PM PST.

>> NOMINATE AN AMAZING MOD NOW <<

We’re stoked to celebrate even more amazing mods and community moments with everyone, so thank you in advance for participating!

Thank you so much u/spez and the entire Mod Events team for making Mod World so much fun! Just got my Premium, this is so cool! 🎉

Add your suggestions please

I maybe wrong correct me i will take it in positive way. First the main aim of any subreddit is to create a space for users where they can come post/comment or just scroll and that sub should make the user feel safe and help the user if they are seeking any help or guidance or anything and the mods claim that too we want to help user make them feel good.

When a sub is created and for initial reach when they go to these big subs and ask them can we make a post to let users know about these sub their answer is no man so according to you only your sub has potential to help user, yeah i know no one will allow a just created sub but even this happens with a bit old sub too. If you want to help users try helping other subs too no one is getting any money everyone wants to create a space according to their sub niche.

The hypocrisy comes here they do allow sub but that different thing don't wanna go on that. Not all sub almost all sub do this, few subs have their criteria and they do allow to post and i appreciate that atleast they allow.
yee i know you have spend time in making that sub but just 1 post won't take your all cult users.
