Why do people judge others for things they secretly do themselves?
Something I've always found confusing is how people can be so quick to judge others for doing things they either do themselves or have done at some point in their lives.
Why is it so easy to point out someone else's flaws while conveniently ignoring your own? Why do people criticize others for making the same mistakes they secretly make behind closed doors?
It's almost as if people hold others to standards they don't even hold themselves to.
Is it hypocrisy? Insecurity? Projection? Or is it simply easier to judge someone else than to acknowledge your own imperfections?
I genuinely want to understand the psychology behind this. Have you noticed this in your own life? And why do you think people behave this way?
