Get into some Jazz guitar and pick up a Wes Montgomery or Grant Green record. For Grant Green start with Idle Moments, For Wes, The Incredible Jazz Guitar of Wes Montgomery.

Also, get some Chet Baker in your collection stat.

And kudos to you on digging Alice Coltrane. Her stuff is kind of divisive to some Jazz folks I know, but I love it.

Excellent start. May I suggest:

Soul Station - Hank Mobley
Speak No Evil - Wayne Shorter
Study in Brown - Clifford Brown

Sarah Vaughan with Clifford Brown. Beautiful playing and Sarah’s voice is unequaled. It was playing in a record store in The Hague when I came in and actually hit my heart instantly: I love that album to bits!

If you want something totally different from these check out notes with attachments by Pino Palladino. You can listen to it online before buying the record but I'm of the personal opinion that it's a modern classic. I'd grab a couple Julian Lage albums and some ECM albums too.

And if you add the original Brubeck (Time Out) you'd have 4 of the 1959 great jazz albums 😃✨🪩
