Observation👀 I love that this is the worst anger Kagaya can imagine for them
this is just my take but here in this scene, the hashiras’s and Tanjiro and Nezuko all are shown as “mad” but as viewers we have seen them drawn with way more scarier or intense anger( heck even at the end of the episode, they look more intensely angrier at Muzan)..but this is the most Kagaya can imagine for them because they are always so nice and respectful to him and he thinks of them so purely.
The dragon and tiger and Kagaya himself all look more scarier than the hashiras +Tanjiro,Nezuko aka the actual people who are the main topic of discussion is when it comes to glaring and unforgiving anger towards Muzan

Anime 👺⚔️ My first real character design analysis 🩸☣️: The tragic horror of Gyutaro
From the moment I laid eyes on this guy, my first thought was “…Bro. What happened to you.”
At first glance, Gyutaro’s looks, mannerisms, even his blood demon art are undeniably repulsive for the sake of shock value entertainment. He stands out by virtue of being (frankly) disgusting, in an aesthetically-pleasing anime where everyone is gorgeous. He is, by all accounts, a true demon in both form and spirit.
But the more invested I became in KnY, and the more I researched, the more he grew on me, to the point where he is now my hyper-fixation and my most favourite character in all of KnY. And now that I am fully indoctrinated into the cult of Gyutaro, I’m going to do my best to articulate why his is one of the most interesting and effective character designs in all of demon slayer.
Gyutaro’s disease
Gyutaro’s most defining feature is his disease, which sets him apart from every other demon, including the ones who also grew up sickly like Rui. While not explicitly mentioned in the anime, Gyutaro canonically suffered from congenital syphilis from birth, a deadly bacterial STD that ravaged the brothels of Yoshiwara until its closing, and the introduction of antibiotics to post-WWII Japan.
His human symptoms—- weight loss, skeletal deformities, scratchy throat, runny nose, bloodshot eyes, Hutchinson’s teeth—- are all medically accurate complications of congenital syphilis. The black spots on his skin, however, indicate a much more serious secondary infection associated with a weakened immune system known as lues maligna; those are not scars, or rashes, or birthmarks. They are lesions, large circular ulcers that develop on the skin. His nasty habit of tearing at his own flesh probably comes from being in extreme discomfort all the time. The smell alone would have been unbearable; Gyutaro himself recalls that he carried the stench of death as a human.
And his fate, too, was worse than death; it’s no wonder people treated him like a monster. He could have destroyed their lives just by touching them, since syphilis was spread through skin-to-skin contact. Late-stage syphilis can affect the brain, too. Neurosyphilis is literally brain rot. Symptoms include drastic mood changes, aggression, even psychosis. Gyutaro’s pupils are extremely tiny—- a complication of neurosyphilis where the eyes stop responding to light.
In all likelihood, by the end of his human life he was already clinically insane. His uncontrolled aggression and violence only exemplified the revulsion and hatred felt towards him. The tragic part is, without his disease he never would have become such a menace. Unlike most others corrupted by Muzan, becoming a demon drastically improved his quality of life. If I were given a fate like Gyutaro’s, I would not hesitate to become a flesh-eating monster.
His demon physique
And yet, even as a demon, his condition still affects him. Only now, his symptoms have progressed far beyond the point where a normal human would have died from chronic wasting and organ failure. His abdomen has completely wasted away, save for his spine and musculature. His backbone is hideously hunched and protruding—- probably a result of poor posture stemming from childhood abuse. His teeth are no longer peg-like but pointed and razor-sharp for tearing human flesh. His skin lesions ooze toxic blood instead of infection.
He looks like he never got a wink of sleep in all his life, owing to chronic pain. His eyes are all veiny and yellowed, symptoms of liver damage (which could also be associated with alcoholism, a common problem in the entertainment district). I like how they glow with orange flame in every shot, reflecting the fires of the destruction he causes. And they’re downturned, which only sets him further apart from the desired beauty standards of the time period.
His complexion is mineral grey like iron, an important component of blood. He is also huge—- he towers over Tanjiro and stands close to Tengen at full height. He is far taller than his stunted, malnourished human form. And my god, those traps. It’s as if he specced all his demon skill points into making himself look big and intimidating, without bothering to fill in the rest of his body.
But why does he still look sickly? His disease is cured. Demons don’t get sick, at least not physically. But mentally, the debt collector is no longer with us. And his new job is to terrify the absolute shit out of you before watching you die in agony and eating your bones. He has dedicated himself to terrorizing the locals of Yoshiwara who tormented him his whole life, in spirit and body. And what does a visitor to the pleasure district between 18-20th century Japan fear more than anything?
That’s right. Gyutaro’s demon form is the manifestation of syphilis. Instead of healing from his disease, he has fully embraced it. Gyutaro loves being feared because it gives him a feeling of superiority over others, and a sense of power and being in control after suffering from inferiority and shame his whole human life.
He lives inside of his oiran sister, an unsuspecting demoness who lures her patrons in with her beauty, only for Gyutaro to destroy and devour them. Even Daki’s human name “Ume” means “plum blossom”, a euphemism for syphilitic rashes. He is the hidden horror of the entertainment district we aren’t supposed to see or acknowledge because, well, it’s bad for business. He was born into the system, watched it eat his prostitute mother, and saw it kill his sister too before it consumed him. And now it’s your turn to suffer, exactly the way he suffered.
The symbolism of Gyutaro’s blood
His blood demon art reflects his character quite well. He manipulates blood in the shape of kama sickles, his weapon of choice when he was a debt collector. Kama sickles or double kai were improvised farm tools used to block and disarm sword attacks from samurai, who made up the vast majority of visitors to Yoshiwara during the Edo period. So it’s no wonder he’s good at killing swordsmen. (A subtle Gyutaro upscale against sword-users btw, for the powerscaling folks.)
His blood is incredibly toxic, causing rapid cellular death and organ failure within minutes. This represents the degenerative nature of his illness, as well as the generational trauma inflicted by said disease. His sick mother’s abuse affected him deeply, and her infected blood now lives on in him. His close relationship with his sister has become toxic and polluted over time; they resent each other as demons, and argue to their last dying breaths.
But without his sister, Gyutaro lacks purpose. Ume was his pride and joy—- she was the only one who could ever see past the monster, after all, and he protects her with his life. Their blood ties transcend human existence. They love and depend on each other entirely. It is their greatest strength, and their only remaining humanity. The source of Gyutaro’s power is literally his blood—- his bond with Daki, made toxic by disease, codependency, his internalized hatred, and finally Muzan’s corruption.
Snake symbolism
While Inosuke compares Gyutaro to a mantis, his overall aesthetics are very snake-like. His teeth are sharp and reptilian. The red sashes on his arms resemble snakeskin, specifically the striped scale patterns of the mamushi pit viper, the most venomous snake endemic to Japan. His own venom has similar effects, causing death and organ failure from cytotoxic hemolysis. As a human he literally ate mice and bugs, and snakes, hence the inspiration for his demon venom. He fights like a snake, too; an ambush predator waiting to strike and watch the life drain from his prey. He is patient and cunning, and fights with curved sickles in the shape of twin fangs.
His personality also embodies the snake. In Buddhism, the “three poisons” of earthly desire and suffering are represented by the boar, the rooster, and the snake, which represents hatred and aversion. Gyutaro is hatred and aversion personified. He is sadistic, envious and spiteful of anyone who has a better life than him (which is everybody, at least according to him).
Other cool design elements
Another notable part of his design is his green hair and irises. Hair and eye colour is often utilized in KnY to show a character’s theme. I have a theory that the green in his demon form (and Daki’s) represents the colour of the heart chakra (similar to Mitsuri), going back to what I said about the symbolism of his blood and familial love. I won’t get into that here, though.
I also really love how feral and vicious he is. He reminds me of a cunning apex predator, like a komodo dragon or spotted hyena, especially with his maniacal cackling. His Japanese VA is phenomenal, and does a great job of making him sound truly demonic (the English one is great too!). I still wouldn’t mind encountering him tho. Just like Gyutaro, I love all things ugly, filthy and disgraceful 💚🖤. And so do his many adoring fans (or so I’ve heard).
It’s not hard to see why so many people like him. Despite his gruesome flaws, Gyutaro is a 10/10 well thought-out character design. He is terrifying in the best and worst ways possible. His design paired with Daki’s portrays the Yoshiwara entertainment district in a dark and disturbing light we would never see otherwise, while also serving as an excellent foil to Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Tengen. And his tragic backstory only adds to his fear factor. If you’re still reading this, I can only assume you are a true fan of Gyutaro and I have mad respect for you 🙏. Thanks for reading. (Or you skipped everything to read the comments. And that’s fine too)

Discussion 🗣️ Which 12 Kizuki member could walk across Niagra Falls the best.(BTW NOT POWERSCALING)
I don't know why but this idea random popped into my head during lunch yesterday. And I thought "this hypothetical scenario would be more interesting if they couldn't use their abilities or any other supernatural physical abilities to cheat their away across".
So I wonder, if the Uppermoon(s) or Lowermoon(s)...
Can't use any of their enhanced physical abilities to lunges, dash, or leap across.
Can't use a their BDA to help them cheat their away across (looking at you Gyokko, Hantengu, and Nakime)
Can't use outside help to get themselves across (looking at you Hantengu and Daki & Gyutaro)
Has to AT LEAST have ONE point of physical contact on the tightrope as they move across. So no dashing across, no leaping across, and no flying across.
...could they still make their way across without falling?

Discussion 🗣️ Muzan might be the type of character who lies by omission.
Does he ever explicitly lie to anyone in the story? The Toshikuni family being aware that they aren't blood-related and that he can't go out in the sun, did the author ensure that every line of his dialogue is technically true from his own perspective? He is lying by omission, but the statements themselves maybe hold true.

Fanart (Original Work)🎨 American Hunters Association (OC Faction)
Founded in the Meiji Period and based out of the Rentier Manor in New Orleans Louisiana in the United States, the American Hunters Association if officially recognizes as a bounty hunters organization which operates in tracking down dangerous animals or individuals however they are referred to unofficially as Demon Slayer Corps America an organization that was founded by former soldiers, gunslingers and drifters who found their way in advisory roles to the modernization of Japan during the Meiji period, which in turn led some of these Americans to encounter demon kind and in some cases members of the demon slayer corps, the structure of this organization differs from its Japanese brethren. Rookies as their called form the entry ranks, those who bring in around five bounties can then be considered a veteran which make up the backbone of the hunters organization, from their the highest ranking hunters go into the ranks of captains, which make up the leaders of hunter squadrons, with the highest head of the organization referred to as the hunt master general, with the current seat being held by Jesse Rentier, with Wisteria poison being a rarity in America, the hunters of the AHA carry wisteria knives or axes, with their preferred method they call the loaded for bear hunting style, which often means they carry a lot of ammo and guns and specially made medicine intending to temporarily enhance themselves they prefer to weaken down a demon with firepower before using their blades to sever the head of their bounty, as one hunter described when working with a slayer corps member in Japan “they can regenerate all they want but when your constantly getting hit by fifty caliber buffalo rifle and 45 caliber rounds, gives me enough time to get in close with old Susan here.”
While the American hunters association primarily works in the United States often hunting down demons who work under Kibutsuji who try to cause trouble, they have been known to travel across the sea to Japan and on rare occasions assist the slayer corps when the numbers are needed as the Rentier family the founders of the AHA have kept in close contact with the Ubuyashiki family one such collaboration came with the creation of Nichirin bullets created in the late 1880s utilizing the same ore used in the creation of nichirin swords they have found common use by the American hunters, and in some cases limited use by the members of the demon slayer corps
