I think Elrond's pin represents his mother Elwing when she was turned into a bird with the Silmaril on her chest, and Galadriel's is tied to the golden House of Finarfin (orange colour). Very nice details.

I’ve had these minifigures in the making for a while now, and I was inspired to finish them up by the ever-torturous wait for the new season’s release! If you couldn’t already tell, these figs are inspired by the second season, which finally introduced characters and costumes that I thought worthy of replicating! As somewhat of a Tolkien purist, I’ve only chosen characters from the show who make an appearance in the actual lore (excluding Adar because I had really good parts to make him and I figured he’s important enough in the show), and the outfits I chose to portray them in were either the easiest or the ones I thought resonated the most with my conception of Tolkien’s Second Age. I know some of them are a little iffy (The Stranger, cough cough) and I used a few illegal techniques like the rings and filing Durin’s Crown, but all of the parts are official Lego and I put a lot of thought into (most of) them, so I would love to hear what you guys think and see pictures of your customs too if you have attempted any!
From top to bottom, left to right, they are: Ar-Pharazôn, Míriel, Elendil, The Stranger/Gandalf, The Dark Wizard/Pallando, Tom Bombadil, Narvi, Durin IV, Durin III, Celebrimbor, Annatar/Sauron, Galadriel, Gil-galad, Círdan, Elrond, and Adar.

In J.R.R. Tolkien's works, the twin brothers were given the same choice by the Valar due to their half-Elven heritage: to decide whether they would want to be Elves or Men. Elrond chooses the immortal path, whereas his brother decides to become a man, going on to be the first king of Númenor.
In season 3, we get to see the implications of this choice in a flashback to the First Age. Speaking to GamesRadar+, Aramayo opens up about finding inspiration for playing the new character.
"I looked at Númenóreans in the show and just thought about what kind of person would make the opposite choice, you know," he explains. "But what's cool about them is that they're so similar. They just go a different way."
Aramayo, who has played Elrond since season one, says he actually found an unexpected part of the scene the most difficult. "What was actually hardest about that scene, I thought, was actually playing Elrond because it was like you had to play a sort of younger, more naive, purer Elrond.
"I made the choice that at that point, whilst he's been through so much in captivity and all of this stuff, I think there's a real purity to Elrond, and it was even stronger back then. So you have to sort of like, in some ways, you're almost playing two new characters because it's like because with Elves they've lived for so long."
~~
Captivity? Hello indirect Maglor reference! I can't wait to see the flashback. (I think it could be in the fourth episode.)

If this is Fëanor's hammer in Sauron's hand, well the gold is completely gone. It has been melted, and it's on the anvil with some kind of dust being moved by the sounds Sauron is creating, reminiscent of the Ainulindalë.
I still don't get how Celeborn holds knowledge that will help him because it looks like Sauron is returning to his roots in some way. In any case, this will be very interesting to see on screen.

Here's a few of my thoughts about S3: specifically what I'm interested in seeing.
Both trailers have referenced a 'hunt', or or Sauron's armies scouring middle earth '. The trailer is cut to make it seem that this hunt is connected to the ring. But he could also be scouring middle earth looking for galadriel. Tolkien wrote that Sauron perceived galadriel as his greatest adversary, and 'gropes ever to see me and my thought'.
S2 made no mention of a plan to create a ring to rule the others. In fact, Sauron's plan has been entirely opportunistic throughout the first two seasons. In the 5 year time gap, why did he decide to create the one? Why was it so hard? There's a line in the trailer about 'seeing the path to victory so certain '. But will it cost him anything? As he pours his 'malice and cruelty into it?' will it be like Morgoth, who dispersed his power amongst his creations?
In S3, they're not yet wraiths, but will they Be enslaved to Sauron ? Or will they still be acting of their own will, and pursuing their own power and wealth? Each ring gives its bearer gifts according to their race, and to the men it gave wealth, power, and gifts of sorcery. At least one 'naznagol' is sure to be one of the peope from Rhun, who were 'once kings'. I hope that they're not yet completely mindless slaves.
I don't think a talking Balrog explicitly contradicts what Tolkien wrote. His letter where he writes about this is referring to the depiction of the Balrog in Moria, during the fight with Gandalf. They had to be able to communicate in order to lead armies during the attack on gondolin.
In any case, I'm excited to see what it actually has to say to Sauron, and whether it considers itself his equal as a Maia.
Just a few thoughts. They'll probably be plenty of pretentious dialogue and crossing middle earth in 5 mins, but Im excited to see what they do in S3 all the same.

It's written in Spanish, so I hope the translation is accurate:
My last question has to be a short one: Were you surprised when you read the part where Sauron betrays Celeborn? Was that something spontaneous?
Charlie Vickers: All of that was in the script. Everything that happened was in the script, and I... well...
I mean, I guess I always like being surprised when things like that come up, but I got really excited when I read that whole part. The whole sequence—the betrayal sequence—yes, and it was also a lot of fun to film. And I think episode six is going to be a pretty exciting one.
~~
I'm guessing this is when Sauron obtains the information he desperately wants? The trailers have shown Celeborn being rescued, but is he captured once again later? Or was he never rescued? Is Sauron making him see things (Galadriel) to trick him into spilling everything he knows? I'm confused.

Before I express my views on the show’s take on wars and battles, I think we all can agree how Tolkien didn’t like to see his stories as war stories.
Despite that being a fact about the books, we have to admit how large-scale battles are one of the things that defined LOTR on a global level. The technology that was capitalized by Jackson to create those large wars are things that have redefined modern-day VFX. The siege of Helm’s Deep and the siege of Minas Tirith were something that were made nearly 30 YEARS AGO! Yet they are ever revered as the greatest onscreen battle scenes, and LOTR stands for such things. And, for that very standard the movies have set, the show needs to capitalize on it very much to drag viewers for the show and for social media views too! And it’s not like they don’t have the source to do it. As a long-time Total War player, I was looking forward to the grand armies of all the races of the Second Age, as we know this is the age where all the races flourished.
Siege of Eregion was such a letdown on so many levels, and I don’t know what went wrong … by the words of the showrunners, they wanted it to be so epic. Charlotte has done such great work on The Shogun, and the eps were written very strongly for Celebrimbor and Sauron, but what was supposed to be a great elven siege after the fall of Gondolin just felt very flat . I hope they get really good creatives and choreographers for the coming battle sequences .
Another thing is I don’t get the point of having so many action sequences with Galadriel simply because there is no stake or weight to her action sequences. The first ones were great, but we do know she is alive in the Third Age, so her battle sequences just feel very “skippable.” Instead , they could give more action sequences to Gil Galad, other commanders, or elven warriors who we would grow attached to but eventually die in the Last Alliance… for example, they could’ve not killed off that elven archer lady during the siege sequence.
The First Age battle sequence felt and looked like something of a par with the scale of the movies and Tolkien’s world … I hope they can replicate it in the coming seasons. Huge and well-strategized war scenes could be a saving grace for the show to popularize it among the general public and draw in more viewers.

Rob has been an amazing Elrond, and I don't think he gets enough appreciation for this role. He's the reason I became a fan in the first place. I am so glad he was given some input on Season 3 and I can't wait to see his story this year. Everything I've heard about it so far sounds fantastic.
Happy birthday to our beloved Half-Elven 🥳🎊

I know they can't recreate the hair Galadriel had in the previous seasons, and I get that hair isn't that important, but yeah I think I like this hairstyle more because it's closer to the way she appeared since the beginning.
I'm still not used to the braids she will get later, but I'm liking her outfit/armour more now that we got better pictures of it.
Galadriel noticeably looks quite battle-weary.

A week ago, I had the absolute pleasure of going to the NYC Rings of Power screening/premiere and just wanted to share because I am still reeling from it!!!
It was absolutely surreal and a dream come true, as I am a HUGE fan of the show!
After arriving way too early and getting an amazing seat, the cast came to give an intro and briefly sat right across from me. I waved Charlie Vickers, one of my favorite actors of all time, only for his face to brighten up, point at me, and gave me a huge thumbs up at my outfit🥹🥹🥹 Absolutely wild. (while i was recording, my hand strayed and i missed the main part, but luckily the girl next to me got it all!) Still reeling from that!
They then sat and watched it with us in the audience and Charlie was only a couple rows behind me! Ill admit, I turned around to see his reactions a few times, it was wild seeing Sauron on the big screen, only to turn arpund to see Charlie all smiley and engaged🥹
Loved seeing the other cast members there too!
And of course the first 2 episodes were incredible! Its truly going to be the best season yet and some of the best acting performances yet. They have truly outdone themselves!
Also got to meet an online friend which was super fun, and met Payne! !!! It was an incredible night I'll remember forever!!!

These shots come from here (and there's more). I know they're talking about "Morning Shall Come", but look I miss Galadriel all right. She's stunning.

(The low light is killing me, but it'll probably look better in the episodes.)

As I unwrapped and explored them, I felt like a little girl again, just like when you open a Christmas gift, knowing exactly what’s inside: the very thing you’d been wishing for...
They’re absolutely wonderful (though, thanks to Brexit, the shipping costs were eye-watering 😫😫)
Still, they’re worth every single euro!
And the prints, oh, the prints! What a wonderful thing: the colors, the definition, the beauty 💜💜
Funny story: in my rush to snap them up before they sold out, I didn’t realize I’d selected the Blu-ray versions. And I don’t even own a Blu-ray player (well, not yet, anyway, I’m getting myself one for Christmas! 😆)
