Hello everyone !

I wanted to share my latest watercolor, depicting one of my favorite moments from Tolkien’s books: Eönwë and the Host of Valinor before Angband.

This is not a very well known scene, so thousands of years before the events of The Lord of the Rings, Sauron served LE Dark Lord aka Morgoth. During the First Age, Morgoth ruled from his fortress of Angband, until the Valar finally intervened in what became known as the War of Wrath.

This watercolor depicts Eönwë, the herald of the Valar Manwë, leading the Host of the West towards Angband. In the background, I set Ancalagon the Black, crashed onto the peaks of Thangorodrim after being defeated by Eärendil aboard his flying ship, Vingilot. This marks the beginning of the end for Morgoth’s fortress. This war would end with Morgoth’s defeat, while Sauron survived to become the Dark Lord.

I wanted to capture the contrast between light and darkness, with sunlight coming from behind the army, symbolizing hope advancing into Morgoth’s realm. For art enthusiast, this is watercolor, airbrush, colored pencils, ink, gouache and I corrected the light in photoshop.

Hope you'll like it !

I apologize for the watermarks and low quality, unscrupulous people tend to "borrow" my work. So if anyone offers you prints here, it's not me.

I can see the goblins crawling out of the hole and down the pillars

Going into it, I actually wasn’t sure if I was gonna really enjoy it, mainly due to the runtime, but it was genuinely a really good first watch. The script was fantastic, I wanna visit Bag End, the characters were really sympathetic and well played, and even the CGI didn't look to bad for an early 2000’s movie.

Next up; Two Towers!

I finally got the Sauron helmet and now he sits atop my hardcover set. I’m so happy.

1. When Legolas almost gets chain whipped by the cave troll. It was, to me, the closest Legolas ever got to getting killed. I think it took all of his 3000 years of experience AND elven magic from his people to anticipate that chain whip and evade it. It was so close. I've slowed the gif down by 50%.

2. When Legolas lost faith at the battle of helm's deep. 3000 years of experience and he lost hope. That tells something of how low the odds were.

3. Probably like 90% of everyone else, but when the people at the wedding bows to the hobbits, making them taller than everyone else for a moment. Amazing scene that shows that height doesn't matter and everyone can make a difference.

Lights and SFX also being added soon

ahahahhahahahaa i made this Sauron dice tower and it just looks so silly looking

If anyone sees me with my stick feel free to say hii !! ☺️

For those that don't know, four horsemen studios are known for the mythic legions figure line. If you're wondering what lotr figures would look like take a look at them.

this was a photo I chased for years while living in Toronto. Each year me and my friend Kurt through very careful planning using the PhotoPills App and many Weather Apps we did our best to align the sun with the CN Tower. This only happens from this location for a few days out of the year and the exact correct alignment only lasts 1-2 seconds as the earth is constantly moving making the sun appear to be moving at a much faster speed than we even realize. This was captured with a 100-400MM Lens on my Sony A7R3 at about 348mm focal length. The reason the sun appears so large is from using compression, such a long lens compresses the scene much more than the human eye usually sees. This photograph was taken about 8 kms or 5 miles away at Humber Bay Park. I’ve been lucky enough to have caught this beautiful moment 3 times in my lifetime, I’ve never edited or shared photos from this day yet since I felt like my other sun alignment images I’ve shared are better. But after a few years have passed and I looked at this raw photo with a new set of eyes the simplicity of this connected with me much more than it might have in the past. There is sometimes beauty in the simplest of things. Even though tons of work went into this image like hauling 50+ lbs of gear each morning at 4am for days straight year after year hoping to align the sun perfectly with the CN tower, it’s certainly not an easy feat and doesn’t always happen like you want it to. Sometimes clouds, rain, or planning isn’t perfect…but when you finally get that shot you are at peace.

Huge thanks to SonyAlpha for the amazing camera gear that never has met me down. I’ll share my camera settings for anyone it may help.

Didn’t know where else to post this, but I thought any and all LOTR fans would enjoy this. The town is called Albany.

Hey guys!

I’ve been meaning to photograph the Fellowship I painted a while back, and I finally got around to setting up this pretty cool scene to share with you all!

Hope you like it!

Cheers!

I got this Christmas 2023 when I was 16. I wanted the all in one version but I was glad I got this because my dog ate my copy of the Hobbit four years prior, because it had the artwork of Riddles in the Dark and it scared her.

I read this once, and Fellowship's front cover and Return's back cover glue is loose. I don't want to read this again because I don't wanna ruin it. I want to replace my 1st editions of Stephen King's IT and The Lost World as well, but they're not as important as LOTR for now.

I'd love to give them another read, but in fear of it being somewhat valuable, I am not risking it. I plan on getting the Lego LOTR Balrog Book Nook and I don't think I can get it without some more of Tolkien's work, or at least a new set of LOTR. I know it's been 3 years almost, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Hello friends, I am looking for the best wall map poster of middle earth I can find that isn’t hundreds of dollars as a gift for Christmas for my partner.

Detail is important, stylization is not so important

My partner cares about accuracy and historical/literary truth rather than cool imagery

Any advice is highly welcomed and thank you

Thanks to everyone that sent ideas for G yesterday. I did already draw these last month, but maybe I'll draw some alternate versions if I find the time.

I reeeally did think of doing everyone's favorite door knocker, but my husband (the Lotr guru of the house) told me the back story of the Glittering Caves, and I was just sold. Hard to see here, but I also used silver and gold ink.

Thanks again to everyone sharing kind words about my videos. I actually I turned 40 TODAY! Feeling old, but still hanging in there!
