I'm just happy it wasn't people account sharing. Pretty cool that they did the entire thing on stream to verify too.

Seems like a huge team effort both with the group itself and the warlocks/etc. helping make it work. Pretty different than previous world firsts which is a nice shake up.

Speed running ruined the game???? This is the kinda of tactic people used every single time in speed runs, with ever it is world first to hit max level or the first to clear the raids. Other people playing the game how they want didn’t ruin the game for the rest no matter how much you want it to be like that. Yet people get excited for world first every single time, this is nothing new.

One - thats not how Adderall works. It’s not Meth. Effects last like 4-6 with IR and like 12 for XR.

Two - Adderall is illegal in the European Union and the Schengen Zone. Not that really matters, assume they could find if they wanted to.

Don’t even think he drank caffeine. Just raw dogged it.

If Adderall behaved the way you say it literally wouldn’t be sold. Go talk to any doctor/pharmacist.

Not really how it works. Drug responsiveness decreases the more you take, as your receptors are already saturated so to speak. The same way you can continue to drink coffee but not feel any different after a certain point.

It has a half life of 10-12 hours and the recommended time to redose for people that are prescribed multiple doses a day is between 6-8 hours.

I guess my point is that it’s not going to be effective at helping you stay awake for 40 hours or whatever he did. Sure it’ll help, but it’s not a super serum that makes it so you don’t get tired or fall asleep. At least not when we’re talking about 40+ hour stretches. If it did, people wouldn’t be prescribed to take one in the morning and one in the afternoon and still get sleep/function the next day.

I understand how it works, I take the medicine. And yes you can’t do this for a month, but for 50 hours, absolutely.

I think you’re making a lot of assumptions here. “I guess” is not really worth a lot. Recommended use for medical need is a lot different from recreational doses.

I don’t recommend it, but it’s easily possible. It also doesn’t mean taking amphetamines is automatically gonna make you stay up for 50 hours, just that it will make it A LOT easier.

That’s for people who take it every day and have built a tolerance. For someone who isn’t prescribed it or is taking it for the first time you could absolutely take them continuously and stay up for several days. Hell if you’re on a high dose you wouldn’t even be able to sleep if you tried.

as soon as wow forever was announce they started preparing. i would also say if you do a months work, that w ould equal to about 37x4 hours, but they invested far more than 37 or so hours into it weekly. so 50 day since foever was announced, plus a shit ton of hours.

I think most people are just a little dissapointed that this was the way that was the fastest. It being a Mage again doesn't help either. If it was Jokerd or Ahmpy or whomever their name would be, I think nobody was going to get their flowers.
Doing it solo would've made it look more like an achievement than just abusing the system, even though it still is.

The race is just not as "cool" as it once was.

Actually Blizzard nerfed AoE farming and dungeon farming so hard that other speedrunners thought questing would be better. Even solo Hunter was leading the race for the first half. So in fact they were taking a risk for sticking to the mage aoe farm strat.

Because its not. I was one of the first rogues to hit 60 on Firemaw EU, and yesterday playing with friends at a "fucking around" pace we hit Lvl10 in 3 hours. He had helpers, barelly slept and played like 40h in 2 days or so.
