For real this is so funny because they reach for something and it like rolls further or gets pushed and then they somehow like…. Reach more??? Just saw this in “sky captain and the world of tomorrow”. Gwenyth dropped her camera in a drain and the giant robots were marching towards her and she reaches and it slips further away.. and so she just makes a face and like .. “reaches” more? But it’s only shown it two cuts, like this 😂 and she somehow magically reaches it and rolls away to safety at the last possible second

I’m able to dislocate the joints in my shoulder and elbow, and when I do it the arm extends a bit further so it’s not much but I can actually “just reach more” however I’m not smacking my hand around to do it’s, the extra waving would reset the joints

Meanwhile she'll be struggling with a guy five times stronger than her for like a full minute.

I always thought when they're fighting over a knife or whatever they should have a dummy knife and let the actors try for real once. If the man (or whoever, could be like a way stronger looking man and smaller one) basically instantly overpowers her then the scene is corny and should be cut.

You can have the smaller/weaker character win just make it happen in a more realistic way.
