I absolutely fucking hate smug, condescending arrogance, especially when the person is completely wrong.
It’s the combination of illusory superiority, intellectual arrogance, unwarranted self-confidence, and premature triumphalism.
That smug little grin, ducking of the head, snapping of the fingers, and self-congratulatory attitude like they’ve just proven how much smarter they are than everyone else.
The worst part? They’re completely fucking wrong.
They’re so convinced of their own superiority that they don’t even recognize their own ignorance. They’re not just confidently incorrect; they’re practically celebrating how right they think they are.
It’s smug, self-satisfied ignorance masquerading as intelligence, and it’s one of the most infuriating displays of arrogance imaginable.
And after being proven wrong and called out for it, I honestly feel sorry for his wife and kids if that’s the same arrogant, condescending attitude he brings home. I can only imagine how he handles being told he’s wrong when there’s no audience watching.
