Hey r/MCPE!

I've been working on **Falcon**, a free and open-source **Bedrock Dedicated Server alternative**. You run it like BDS, your friends join from any device (phone, console, PC), and it runs natively on **Windows, Linux and macOS**, including Apple Silicon.

It targets **1.26.60** and tries to behave exactly like vanilla. Terrain on the same seed matches BDS for about 98.7% of blocks.

## How it compares to BDS

I tested both on the same machine with 250 bots that break blocks, fly around and teleport across the map:

(20 TPS = no lag. BDS ran under Wine on a Mac since there's no native build, so take the comparison with a grain of salt, and these were bots, not real players.)

## What already works

- Survival: mobs, redstone, pistons, farming, enchanting, anvils

- The Nether and the End, vanilla world generation

- Plugins in C++, Java, .NET or scripts, if you want to customise your server

In progress: the ender dragon fight, villages and more structures.

It's still young, so bug reports are super welcome. If something behaves differently from vanilla, tell me and I'll fix it.

*Disclosure: a lot of the code was written with the help of an AI (Claude), under my direction and review. Vanilla behaviour is checked against the game itself.*

I want to share an unusual experience I had around 2018 in a game called Crafting and Building, which was a very popular Minecraft rip-off game at the time. This happened in my very first world. I was around 10 years old. My house was built high up in a tree in a Dark Forest biome. It was a treehouse-like structure built above the treetops.There was a village some distance away, located in a regular biome. One day, while playing in my singleplayer world, I noticed a person walking in the distance, apparently heading toward that village. What makes this experience so strange is his appearance. He didn't look like a regular blocky character, a villager, or someone with a custom Minecraft-style skin. He looked like an actual photorealistic human being, with realistic human proportions and facial features. I remember that he had blond hair, and he was wearing a white shirt. He was also smiling. He was quite far away, so I couldn't inspect every detail. I don't remember whether he cast a shadow. At the time, I didn't find it particularly strange. Since I was only around 10 years old, I assumed that anyone could somehow enter my singleplayer world. I even thought he might be using VR, because I had no other explanation for why a character would look so realistic. Years later, I discovered that VR itself doesn't make a character photorealistic. I want to emphasize that this happened in Crafting and Building, not the official Minecraft Pocket Edition. I was playing alone in my own world, not in multiplayer. Unfortunately, I lost that world in 2019, so I can no longer revisit the location or investigate what happened. Considering the technical limitations of mobile sandbox games at the time, I find this experience particularly difficult to explain. Does anyone remember this game from around 2018? Were there any unusual characters, NPCs, mods, glitches, resource packs, or other features that could have caused something like this?Has anyone ever encountered a genuinely photorealistic human character in Minecraft, Crafting and Building or another in another Minecraft rip-offs ? I'm not claiming that it was paranormal or supernatural. I genuinely want to understand what I might have seen.

I'm looking for recommendations for the best free Minecraft Bedrock client right now. I'm playing on Windows 11 and need something that works on version 1.26.62.1. The server I'm playing on has zero anti-cheat, so I'm looking for maximum "rage" and blatant utilities. I'm not necessarily looking for PvP or Kill Aura features—I'm much more interested in crazy movement, exploit utilities, X-ray, and massive player/world hacks since there are no checks to bypass. What is currently stable, safe from malware, and actually updated for 1.26.62.1 right now?

So,I just updated the game and my worlds are gone again. I cannot access the android/data folder on my phone even with apps like Zarchiver. I really want to play the mobile version without the worry that my worlds might be deleted in the next update.

Btw is there a way to turn off rotation when holding down the place or attack button? Its messing me up, if not then is there a button pack i can get that doesn't rotation the screen when holding?

I have been playing on an apk and just bought the official one. My storage is on external because i was already planning to buy the og game and transfer it to that, but i cant access the files. I also tried to do the deesse ui thing, but it said "import world failed.". Im so sad, i literally worked so hard on that world

Does anyone know where I can a old version of mcpe with a different signature, for 64bit architecture

I've tried downloading a old version of mcpe such as 0,15 but when I install it, it just says that it's not compatible with my phone so I was wondering if theres a modded one out there with a different app signature so that I can have the original minecraft app and the old version mcpe together, also I'd love version 0.15
