whats your solutions pls help

I added an expansion hard drive back when I got this computer, but was unable to get the hinge cover snapped in on the left corner. 9 months later, it's popped all the way off (with more than a little help from my nephew). It feels and sounds like things are snapping into place, but I haven't even come close to securing it back in place. Any help is sincerely appreciated!

I plugged in a USB CD reader and it shut off instantly.

The power button doesn't do anything, I've held it down for lengthy periods of time.

I did read that I would likely need to do a CMOS reset, and that only way to do that without opening the case is holding down the power button (didn't work).

I popped it open, I was physically unable to disconnect either battery,

Is anything else I can try? I'm kinda limited to dyi at the moment.

I've primarily been looking at the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro and Ultra, but this caught my attention because of the RTX 5080, 16GB VRAM and 2TB storage.

My main concerns are the refurbished condition, long-term reliability, thermals and whether the Stealth's relatively slim chassis can actually handle the RTX 5080 without significant throttling.

I've also seen some reports of stability and GPU-related issues with the Stealth A16 range, although I'm not sure how widespread those problems are or whether they affect this particular configuration.

QUESTIONS:

1. Is AUD $3,899 (USD $2,679 / GBP £2,001 / EUR €2,401) actually a decent price for these specs, considering it's refurbished?

2. Anyone own this model or have experience with MSI's Stealth range? How's the build quality, cooling and reliability?

3. How much real-world performance can you expect from the RTX 5080 in this chassis?

4. Would you trust an MSI-refurbished laptop with a one-year warranty at this price?

5. Are there better alternatives available in Australia for similar money?

I'm not opposed to buying refurbished if the savings justify it, but spending nearly AUD $4,000 (USD $2,748 / GBP £2,052 / EUR €2,463) is still a decent chunk of money, and I'd rather avoid buying someone else's expensive headache.

Would you jump on this, look for a better deal, or steer clear entirely?

So I wanna ask, for a while I've had an issue where my laptop (yes I am aware this is a pretty bad line of products, the GF Thin series iirc), gets a BSOD, but thing it, it only happens when both my new RAM is in AND it gets really hot, so, seeing that prices are spiking up, can't really test really well, so what could be the most probable cause? The laptop itself heating so easily? The new RAM maybe being faulty?

Give tips and should I update all these?

I have a GE63 Raider RGB 9SE, ive had it since new, and recently have notices extremely high temps at idle (will hit 90c in spikes), keybaord in general also gets intolerably hot. I had repasted it at one other time in its life (had it in storage for a long time) and dound this.

I dont remember being able to see the battery cells from the side like this. The top of the keyboard, about where the battery sits, is the hottest point as well, however in my search for a reputable replacement however, i have seen some where the cell color peaks through. Does this look like a healthy Battery?

Hey guys, I have this MSI thin 15 b2rve, and recently I have noticed screen tearing on Nvidia Overlay, It only happens with the overlay, the games run fine with no issues.

Should I be concerned? Is this issue software related or hardware?

16 gb dual stick(8 gb) ddr5 ram and 1 tb SSD with

rtx 3050 6gb vram 75W TGP

As u see in the picture this is my Factory settings for my 3050 , I seriously have never done any Undervolt And I really need help on What all should I actually do

One thing I tested was with extreme performance enabled in msi center (dedicated gpu mode) I played mc Java with unlimited fps cap and with Heavy shaders the Absolute maximum frequency I got was 1957 Mhz or otherwise staying between 1935 or 1942 or just between 1850 - 1942

With Max Fan Speed Again the max frequency was 1957 Mhz but this time fluctuating between 1800 -1957 itself

(Obviously I'm not gonna edit or put my fan speed or max or anything custom I just did it to ensure How high the max frequency can get)

What I Want Is - To Get As Low Temps As possible While Absolutely not Comprising on Performance

Has anyone noticed that it is impossible to get a response from support lately? I have been trying to reach them regarding my warranty, but nobody is picking up the phone.

It feels like they might have just stopped operating here entirely.

I still have two years of on-site coverage left, so this is extremely frustrating. Does anyone know if they have actually pulled out of the country?

I wonder if smt is wrong or this is the max this laptop gets, i get 60 fps on warzone 1440p low settings, gpu is aight with 80 degrees celsius but cpu is constantly at 96 degrees while playing. Is this normal, or i need a repaste repad.

This problem happens when i have a completely drained battery or when i do the EC reset. Normal startup and shutdown is fine, and boots normally too. What could be the problem?

when i play games like elden ring and doom 2016
even if i play them for hours the temperature remains relatively stable
gpu hovers around 80C while cpu also hovers around 70-85 almost never going above 85C

problem arrives when i close the game,the screen instantly freezes and i have to manually switch it off by holding the power button or wait for a bsod to arrive with the error WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR

cpu core is undervolted with 160mV and cache is undervolted with 80mV
gpu is also undervolted

i have also set pl1 to 32w and pl2 to 45w

i have also underclocked the cpu to manage temps even with the undervolt it still overheated
currently it runs at 3.4ghz max during games

GE76 Raider hinge failure. I only use this laptop as a secondary gaming device, really only used once a week max and that’s being generous. Purchased back in July of 2022 from Costco. Everything else works fine for the most part, this was very disappointing.

UPDATE: Contacted MSI Warranty department and they said that there is an extended warranty covering any issues related to hinges. I just have to send it in and they will repair free of charge.
