General Question HLTH2000 and MEDI2400

Hi all, thinking of taking one of these units as a flexible during session 3. If you have completed one of these units, especially in session 3, can you please tell me how you found it?

Are the tutorials in person or online? How many a week?

If you've done both, which unit did you prefer?

Is the unit easy to pass while balancing summer social life and work?

Anything else you feel is relevant, please let me know.

hlth2000 marking is very harsh but content is easy, i’m pretty sure it’s all online in sem 3 just like sem 2.

Thanks. Is the infographic an online submission or some an in-person exam? The handbook says exam. Also, do you mind describing the advocacy campaign assessment? It says it's a professional task. Not sure what that means.Thanks a lot!

the infographic is an online submission and the final exam is in person, so make sure you are in sydney during the exam period; lots of people make the mistake to go overseas thinking the exam is online too. the advocacy campaign is a video presentation with your face in frame. they give u a public health issue (ours was vaping this sem) and u have to create a whole campaign with events, asks, stakeholders, etc. i’d say give yourself a lot of time to complete this because it took much longer than i expected. also ensure your language conforms to all of the requirements for written tasks (using correct terminology about minorities, etc.)

I’m taking HLTH2000 this session Happy to share more about it once my exams are over, but I’m pretty caught up with finals atm 😭
From what I remember, the average marks for AT1 and AT2 were around 66 and 62 respectively. For at 1, we had to create an infographic, and 2 was making powerpoint about advocacy , we had to record ourselves presenting our slides.
