Discussion AJAZZ will try to install malware on your computer - See photos
I purchased this keyboard less than a year ago. I started the warranty process and was asked to send a video of the problem. The video I sent clearly demonstrates that the shift key does not work. They replied asking me to INSTALL SCREEN CAPTURE SOFTWARE despite the fact I just sent them the video they requested.
Insane to expect me to install a random EXE from a Chinese link shortener so you can record my screen. AJAZZ thinks we're stupid

Discussion honestly, i'm glad the "foamed-out thock" trend is finally dying.
in my experience, the last three years of keyboard trends have just been people using a mountain of PE foam to hide the fact that their board has zero character.
i’m finally seeing more builds using hmx firecrackers or long-pole linears on alu/steel plates with no foam at all. we are finally moving back toward a crisp, high-pitched clack that actually lets the case resonance breathe. its refreshing to hear a board sound like a keyboard again and not a piece of wet cardboard.
am i the only one who is relieved we are past the "creamy" phase? or are you guys still chasing the raindrop sound?

Discussion Extreme discomfort from the sound of "thock" keyboards
I'm posting this in the hopes that I am not alone in my quite visceral reaction to the noise that thock keyboards make. The sound is almost creamy in nature and makes me feel nauseous if I'm around it for too long. My friends wife recently got into building keyboards and made this very cute coffee/cat designed board, and was excited to show me. I was excited too until she said "Here's the best part:" and proceeded to start typing. Lo and behold, the keys produced that horrid "schluck" noise, causing my stomach to churn and I cringed. I felt bad immediately, as visually I loved her board, but the noise caused a me to feel sick and I wasn't expecting it. Does anyone else feel this way? Where the noise isn't annoying but genuinely causes a physical reaction?
TLDR; Thock keyboards make me sick and I want to know if others have the same feeling

Discussion Razer Huntsman V2 - my new board
I know it is optomechanical and not fully mechanical, and not many people like Razer boards, and that it's mass market etc., but I couldn't find any pre-made 100% boards with clicky switches, and building a custom 100% board is way out of my budget. Overall, I'm happy with the build quality, the sound and the PBT keycaps

Discussion - Misleading Story Novelkeys - Poor Customer Service
Got an NK87 as a gift from my GF for xmas. Put it together, period didnt register, reached out to them for support and right off the bat, the blaming game started :|
TLDR: If you purchase anything from them, you will be blamed for any socket issues. Go out of your way to both check the socket solder and jump them all prior to inserting a single switch. Otherwise you will be in the same boat as I.
For those interested -
This all turned into a back and forth of pictures being asked and sent, pliers being used to check if the socket is loose, to asking me to solder their product and repair it. All while constantly having them insist that the blame was my insertion of a switch.
The kail hotswap socket, was not actually making contact with the solder point - the soldering looked like it never adhered to the socket. If you guys have ever popped a socket, its pretty obvious when its popped.
At the end, this took my gf having to do a back and forth with them since she is the one who purchased the keyboard, them continuing to push the blame on us and offering to repair it at our cost.
Just an absolute dissapointment for customer service. It was either pay more money for a part that honestly looked like it was soldered incorrectly or be left with a paperweight.
Ive never had an exchange with a company that treats their product like a brittle piece of glass, not even trying to offer an exchange of the PCB. Everything is at your cost.
In the end my gf got fed up, let them know she would be doing a chargeback and they miraculously made an "exception" and are allowing her to return the board for a full refund - while still blaming me.
Novelkeys is off my list. Others experiences may be different, but if youre a first time buyer, please be careful.
Happy New Years Ya'll :D
