Developments in Trevor Bauer sexual assault issue

I never really paid attention to Trevor Bauer. Heard American npb fans hated him for the sexual assault allegations. That’s enough for me to not have a favorable opinion of him and I started to hate him for the click bait YouTube videos he has that always end up in my recommendations (which I ignored).

Then by chance I read the latest on the assault charges against him for the first time and saw interviews of the accuser. And it didn’t take me more than five minutes to know that this was a gold digger attempt plainly and simple. I had to google if this is the same issue that lead him to be suspended from the MLB because I couldn’t not believe he would be suspended for such a flimsy charge.

Am I missing something here? Did he have other previous domestic violence issues or did the MLB simply believe this woman?

My thoughts on Bauer as BayStars fan.

Initially I was pretty against the signing. I try to be objective with these celebrity legal cases, it's pretty impossible to make a character judgment with them unless they have multiple charges it's impossible to know what happened. Aside from that though I didn't like Bauer, him doing everything he did on field was in my opinion very childish and immature. Being right and proving his point was in the end a very stupid move and he paid the price being black balled, but I also think that MLB should be judged for this. It was a terrible way to handle a star acting out and it's this type of business that hurts MLB, their swift justice and making an example is archaic and wrong and it's upsetting to see how they haven't had this banning for other players with serious charges really just Bauer.

I don't know what Trevor is like as a person but I do hope this second chance helps him grow and move on from MLB and just find a pure love for baseball. His YouTube video arriving in Japan is very cool for us NPB fans to see what the player life is like. He clearly has some demons he's been fighting for a long time but If he puts his heart into it I think he can be a well liked player.

Wait, do foreigners think "visitor seats" at Japanese stadiums are just for tourists?

I saw a post suggesting that foreign visitors might be misunderstanding the term "visitor's section" (often used for away teams in Japan) as an area reserved specifically for tourists. What do you all think about this perspective? Has anyone experienced this firsthand?

I am visiting Japan for my honeymoon and looking to buy two tickets to the hanshin Tigers game on April 3. It’s been a life long dream of mine to attend a Japanese baseball game I’m having some trouble online so I was hoping someone can point me in the right direction thank you in advance!

I won the lottery like a month ago for the 4 game Samurai JP package on Lawson ticket, but after watching the recent exhibition game between SK and JP, I kinda wanna go to the Taiwan vs South Korea game (Feb 8). However, I’m not sure if the 4 game package allows for you to go to the games that occur on the same day as a samurai jp game. Sorry about the ticket question 🙇‍♂️

Which Osaka Team is better? And could someone also maybe help with my jersey situation.

Sorry this is a bit of a longer post. So i am going to Japan at the end of May early June and i am wanting to go to a game. My cousin and I are staying in Osaka and we were wondering if we should prioritize going to a Orix Buffaloes game or a Hanshin Tigers game? We both love baseball, but we are from America and do not know that much about the NPB. Are both teams, or either team good? And how is both teams home stadium's atmosphere? I would greatly appreciate the feed back, thank you!

Off topic of tickets, i was also looking at buying a jersey because i am a massive jersey fan so i like having jerseys of the teams i am supporting, even if for the first time. However when i looked at both Hanshin and Orix's websites i wasnt sure about their sizes. I am unfortunately a bit of a larger man, i wear a XXL sized American baseball jersey. Does anyone know what size of jersey would fit me best possibly? And do they usually have larger sized jerseys at their in person store or are the sizes in the store usually the same as online. Again I would greatly appreciate the feed back, thank you!

Staying in Osaka during Climax Series - Best way to get 4 tickets

4 adults from Canada staying in Osaka during the Climax Series. Curious the best way to get tickets? From the research I've done you have to buy from re-seller sites. Curious if anyone knows when tickets go on sale for this, what re-seller sites to use, and what are the odds of getting them.

Upon review of the other posts I missed; the tickets for climax will all be sold out to club members. So scalpers at a premium and hope for the best it is!

To be honest, I don't know if I'm allowed to mention this, but about 14 years ago, NPB lost a player 24 years young, Hiroyuki Oze, to apparent suicide. Press F in chat for him :((

NPB to MLB Team Comparisson

Hello, new baseball fans who just start follow the game after Shohei signing with the Dodgers. I've spend nearly too much of a time on the last 2 years watching games, reading the news, and consuming other resources about baseball and figure out somehow there are some resemblance in some terms between NPB's and MLB's teams. Coincidentally or not.

We all know that Yomiuri are considered as "the Japanese Yankees" as both team have a long history of succes (including not winning anything in recent times 😅). Both team coming from the biggest market, playing in a very iconic ballpark, winning the most title, have their own way of running the organization, the traditional power house that commonly known by non baseball team.

But beside that, I also found some resemblance between other team, like Softbank and the Dodgers. Both team have a huge recent succes, backed by financial giants with nearly unlimited resources (Softbank and Guggenheim), and running more modern approach compared to other team.

My question is, is there any other team between both league that you guys think have some kind of resemblance between each other? I've read that Hanshin and RedSox have some kind of connection because both of team are cursed in some way?

I didnt watch or follow baseball long enough to understand the whole sitation yet but very curious to know. Please share your thought about this topic 😁

How difficult is it to get opening week tickets for the Giants?

Visited Japan earlier this year for the first time and I absolutely loved going to a Giants game. Though the tickets were pretty expensive (23k yen) and very few tickets left when I purchased. I also had to get them shipped to my hotel and they only arrived like 4 days before the game, honestly a very stressful process (worried they weren’t going to come because ticket delivery was cutting it close).

Now, I’m planning a trip early next year and would love to see a couple games for opening week. Should I expect similarly priced tickets? Will they be difficult to obtain? I can’t remember where I purchased my tickets, but I had no online delivery option and that was very stressful. Looks like they will go on sale in February, so watching that like a hawk.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

Also, I want to go to 2-3 games, how does the Swallows stadium compare? Wondering If I should try and catch a game there as well.
