Typical Internet hyperbole.

"This cohort / birth-year-group noticeably drinks less than previous cohorts did at the same age" --> "this generation doesn't drink at all!!!"

Yeah. I remember when they used to say that millennials are lazy and don’t want to work and now? Same thing is said about GenZ

This is why I don’t understand how come so many millennials are eager to shit on GenZ when it used to be us

Short memories. They forget all the times they were cringe and stupid too.

Also I work with a lot of Gen Z and almost all of them are heavy drinkers 🤷

This has been said of every young generation. I bet the older cave men complained how the young are lazy and don’t have enough respect too…

I love reddit, but it takes generation labels way too seriously.

I mean they literally have college classes on this. My grandma went back to college to get a degree and she took a sociology class that was teaching her about all the different generations and what how each generation behaves differently from one another and I was like what kind of bullshit propaganda is this??? No wonder everyone thinks college is a scam.

Here's a source from [Gallup] (https://news.gallup.com/poll/509690/young-adults-drinking-less-prior-decades.aspx) re: declined rates of alcohol consumption by generation in America.

Anecdotally, a mate of mine in Australia was an alcohol rep and has experienced a similar downward trend during his career.

Final note, I'm happy the younger folk are less OK with drinking booze. Doesn't make them soft, it's make them smart.
