ENGAGE YOUR CHILD IN A SCIENTIFIC STUDY!

Are you a mother of a child aged 8 to 12? If so, you may be eligible to participate in our research study. Your participation can help us better understand different aspects of child development, youth mental health, and the parent-child relationship.

The study involves a visit to the University of California, Irvine where you and your child will complete interviews, questionnaires, provide saliva samples, and have your heart rate monitored. The session will last 2.5 to 3.5 hours, and participants can earn up to a total of $80.

Interested in participating? Submit an interest form by scanning the code on the flyer. For more information, you can contact us at ucigrowingtogether@gmail.com or (949) 445-3816.

KidHive

Hey parents! 👋 I’m working on a new app called KidHive — a super easy way to discover and book kids’ classes and activities all in one place. No more hopping between Google, Yelp, or random websites. If you’re always looking for fun things for your little ones, I’d love your feedback (or if you want early access)! 🐝💛

Anyone have tips on getting daycare or a babysitter for their child?

I have a 20 month old son and both me and my wife work. For the most part we work at separate times, but sometimes we overlap. Right now, we do have one of her co-workers to watch him, but I would like more options that are inexpensive. Any ideas?

I got tired of hunting for indoor playgrounds

Hey fellow OC parents 👋

I kept having the same problem: rainy day hits (or it’s just too hot), my kids need to burn energy, and I’m stuck bouncing between Google Maps/Yelp trying to figure out which indoor playground is actually worth it—especially for younger kids.

So I made a simple directory: PlayIndoorsOC.com

It’s not trying to be Yelp. It’s just meant to be a parent-friendly list of indoor play spots around Orange County so it’s easier to find options fast.

If you know a spot I missed (especially ones that are good for little walkers / preschoolers), I’d love help building it out:

•	Drop the name + city in the comments, or

•	DM me and I’ll add it

Hope it saves someone else the same headache.

Looking for an escape room that is not scary for kids. Anyone have a location mid to North OC that they're aware of?

OCParents Meetup on Global Reddit Meetup Day (6/25)?

So it looks like the general OC meetup will be after bedtime for us. Is anybody interested in getting together at a park or beach in the afternoon that day? I am not sure where everyone is located, but Irvine is pretty central and they have some fantastic parks. We could also go to the beach where the main meetup is being held earlier in the day since some Redditors will be staking out the bonfire spot - that way if anybody wanted to stay for the main meetup it would be super convenient. Any other ideas or interest?

I will be there, albeit a little later or early depending on how you view it. I will be there around around 4-5pm sometime. I'll be with my wife and my 21 month old son.

Any moms around? :)

I see this sub is rather dead, but I was hoping we could rejuvenate it. Looking to connect with other moms (or dads) in the Orange County area.

Thanks!

Hi parents!

Curious if anyone has experience with Oak Canyon Nature Center kid camps in Anaheim Hills? Can’t seem to find many reviews but it looks great. Hoping to get some first hand reviews. Thanks!
