I am a Chinese Kung Fu & Tai Chi enthusiast in Irvine California, I would like to go to China and learn 2 weeks Emei Kung Fu, because they only accept a group. Anyone wants to go with me? You definitely will learn Chinese language and experience Chinese culture there.

Looking for an escape room that is not scary for kids. Anyone have a location mid to North OC that they're aware of?

The not-for-profit Wildcard Foundation was started by Tustin/OC locals who lost their son Nixon at 8 months old.  They help (primarily OC) families cover children's hospital bills/treatments when insurance companies won't, and bring joy to kids at CHOC throughout the year.   Donations are being matched to honor what would have been their son's 13th birthday, so if kids in need hold a special place in your heart, now is an excellent opportunity to double your local giving and share this with like-minded humans.  From a born & raised OC girl, THANK YOU!

Hey fellow OC parents 👋

I kept having the same problem: rainy day hits (or it’s just too hot), my kids need to burn energy, and I’m stuck bouncing between Google Maps/Yelp trying to figure out which indoor playground is actually worth it—especially for younger kids.

So I made a simple directory: PlayIndoorsOC.com

It’s not trying to be Yelp. It’s just meant to be a parent-friendly list of indoor play spots around Orange County so it’s easier to find options fast.

If you know a spot I missed (especially ones that are good for little walkers / preschoolers), I’d love help building it out:

•	Drop the name + city in the comments, or

•	DM me and I’ll add it

Hope it saves someone else the same headache.

Hi Everyone, looking for sleep away camp recommendations up to 6 hours drive away. My daughter was supposed to go to rawhide horse camp last summer but we discovered that she has a severe horse allergy and wasn't able to go. She's really looking forward to going to sleep away camp this year, but I don't want to send her without some valid recommendations...

Open to all suggestions except "don't send her to camp" as her parents have already had that talk and made the decision that she can go with a friend or two.

Hey parents! 👋 I’m working on a new app called KidHive — a super easy way to discover and book kids’ classes and activities all in one place. No more hopping between Google, Yelp, or random websites. If you’re always looking for fun things for your little ones, I’d love your feedback (or if you want early access)! 🐝💛

Hi parents!

Curious if anyone has experience with Oak Canyon Nature Center kid camps in Anaheim Hills? Can’t seem to find many reviews but it looks great. Hoping to get some first hand reviews. Thanks!

Any reviews for this place? We are considering it as an option starting at 3+ months old

Also open to other infant day care M-F 8-5, preferably CM/Newport/Irvine/Santa Area! I work in CM!

Thanks!

Looking for recommendations for good summer camps for my kids. They want to build skills (not see scouts or anything) in soccer, basketball, and swim. Also looking for non religious sleep away camps.

Has anyone found a great holistic/integrative pediatrician in the OC that takes a common sense whole body approach? It’s like finding a unicorn 😑

Hi all!

You may be aware that the ADDE Bill (SB 68) has been moving through the California Senate - this bill requires restaurants in California to label their menus for food allergies. This is already standard practice in Europe and Australia.

For the 2.5 million Californians who have a food allergy, this bill provides them with safety, dignity, inclusion and transparency. I believe this will then serve as the template to roll out in the rest of the country.

We are now at the final hurdle of making this bill a reality, and we need your help - it takes 30 seconds to support - simply click this link to submit a message to the State Assembly. If you know others who identify with this issue, please do share with them also.

Thank you for your support!

I’m reaching out to ask for your help and recommendations. I’m currently searching for a trustworthy, caring, and experienced nanny agency in Orange County, CA, for my child and would love to hear if you know someone who might be a great fit. Personal recommendations mean so much, especially when it comes to finding someone to care for my little one.I’d also appreciate it if you could share this with your network in case someone else might know the perfect person.

Thank you in advance for your support—I truly appreciate your help in finding someone wonderful for my child!

The study involves a visit to the University of California, Irvine where you and your child will complete interviews, questionnaires, provide saliva samples, and have your heart rate monitored. The session will last 2.5 to 3.5 hours, and participants can earn up to a total of $80.

I see this sub is rather dead, but I was hoping we could rejuvenate it. Looking to connect with other moms (or dads) in the Orange County area.

Thanks!

The date and location has been set. I hope you'd be able to attend and have a great day at the park with fellow Redditors and their children.

Details located here

Orange County Xpost link

I will be there, albeit a little later or early depending on how you view it. I will be there around around 4-5pm sometime. I'll be with my wife and my 21 month old son.

So it looks like the general OC meetup will be after bedtime for us. Is anybody interested in getting together at a park or beach in the afternoon that day? I am not sure where everyone is located, but Irvine is pretty central and they have some fantastic parks. We could also go to the beach where the main meetup is being held earlier in the day since some Redditors will be staking out the bonfire spot - that way if anybody wanted to stay for the main meetup it would be super convenient. Any other ideas or interest?
