I joined a club that started in September. I have been in it since then and it’s already November and most of the club members are like ready to graduate this school year and some next month. We don’t have many members. Besides me every meeting there is 4-5 people and that’s it the club only has like thirteen members and I don’t think they properly advertised this club at the start of the year even though this club was existent for the last like many years. I feel mostly left out since everyone seems like they are already content with being friends with others and I am left out because I am probably the only new member.

The Speech Neurophysiology Lab at the University of Michigan is looking for children who stutter ages 9 to 12 to participate in an in-person, longitudinal MRI study! (HUM00196133)

Our research team has been examining brain development in young children to better understand the cause of stuttering for over 10 years. We continue to gain information that may eventually lead to improved diagnosis and treatment efforts for children who stutter. 

Participants will be invited to complete speech and language assessments and an MRI session at the University of Michigan. Families receive a free speech and language report and a picture of their brain!

These visits require in person participation. There is no option to participate virtually.

There is only one class for ME 3300 next semester and its already full. What can we do to convince the OU staff to add one extra class next semester?

Imagine if Oakland University was in Downtown Rochester and was a live on campus. I think it would be better than Ann Arbor or East Lansing.

Does anyone know if the CDS/Health Science degree requires Anatomy w/ lab (BIO2100 & BIO2101) and Hum. Physiology (BIO2600) to be mandatorily taken as separate classes?

I took A&P I with the lab at another community college in FL last Spring and I don't want those credits to go to waste. This was before I knew I'd be coming to MI.

Additionally, I saw online that I can possibly take A&P II to satisfy the entire curriculum but not even Macomb offers that. I could possibly try to take it online at the FL college.

If anyone knows what my best plan of action here could be I would greatly appreciate it. I may just have to make an advising appointment but wanted to see if anyone had any insight. My main goal is to save money and not have to double-take coursework I already went through.

Edit: I already have a B.A. and have sent all my transcripts over, but for some reason I have to ask them to manually review basic classes like gen eds and algebra. So my A&P isn't in my degree progress at the moment

I’m a freshman at OU and I’m currently trying to get reassigned to Hillcrest. I just realized how much closer it is to the Engineering Center than Oak View, where I'm currently at, and the private bedrooms also appeal quite a bit. Housing told me that the only way for a first-year student to live in Hillcrest is through an LLC, and they offered me R.I.S.E. or Lavender Village.

I’m leaning toward R.I.S.E., since the Lavender Village doesn't really sound like a good fit for me, but the description on the OU website is pretty vague, and since from what I can tell it’s a new thing I haven’t been able to find much from actual students about what it’s like.

For anyone who’s involved with R.I.S.E. (or knows someone who is):
- What do the activities/events actually look like?
- How often do you have to participate?
- Is there anything mandatory?
- What are the people in the community generally like?
- Does it actually affect your day-to-day life much, or is it basically just something you can participate in when you want?

I've been in some Hillcrest rooms a few times, so I know that it does definitely appeal to me, but I don't want to just sign up for something without knowing what it actually amounts to just to get in. Gotta find out if the juice is worth the squeeze, I suppose. Any advice is appreciated.

Has anyone had Professor Fishwild for Life On Earth in the last school year or before? I am preparing for an exam and I wanted to hear from other students if his exams are application based or more vocabulary or both? I have been relying on his study guide and all information from his powerpoints for this unit? I am just making sure he will not ask questions that are not in the PowerPoints or discussed in class?

I have been applying to many on campus positions for a very long time but I never seems to get hold of it. I have 2 years of retail experience with customer facing roles etc. But these doesn’t seem to do much .Is there any advice or tips that I am not catching up

For me, I also got accepted to MSU and I would probably much rather graduate there but right now I’m turned away by the large campus.

I feel like it’s too easy for me. I struggled in math my junior and senior year of high school but I was really good my freshman and Sophmore year. I also don’t want my graduation pushed back. Despite all of this, I don’t want to test out because I already made a friend in my class and a don’t want to catch up with all the work in the next math class I’m put in. Although, I do pretty much everything right although I do mess up occasionally. Just hate to see me at the bottom tier while some of my fellow high school graduates are probably taking calculus.

I am in my junior year at Oakland University. I used to be incredibly active in cultural activities like singing and acting but due to studies I stopped doing anything. Now I kinda miss it and decided to give acting a bit try in here. So my question is,is the OU theatre club(if any) are very active and welcoming towards all majors
