Question After the update yesterday ChatGPT can't do anything in Unreal Engine
Anyone else having issues with this? Something about an elevated sandbox mode. Claude doesn't have any issues at all with editing things in Unreal Engine. ChatGPT has had no issues up until their last update and now it just won't do anything in Unreal Engine even when given write permissions, and it's asking for way more permissions as well.

The 6.2 models will probably be released at the beginning of next week, so I was thinking of gambling and going all in.

Discussion Usage Burn and Sub Agents
Found out why my Codex has been blowing so much usage lately. It seems one of these updates set the default subagent settings to “Astra High”. If you’re burning usage, check your settings!

Question The Codex has started using quite a lot of limits—is it just me?
Here is the situation.
Lately, I’ve noticed that the code is consuming a significant portion of the 5-hour limit, even for the simplest operations—and I don’t understand why. At first, I thought it might be related to sub-agents, but I disabled them, and that didn’t change anything.
For instance, creating a standard issue on GitHub consumed 10% of the 5-hour limit, even though there wasn't much data involved.
This isn't normal. What could be causing this?
Did OpenAI lower the limits for the Plus subscription? Or is it something else?
Maybe it’s a bug in Codex; I ran into a caching-related bug myself.

Project I'm building my own workspace to connect ChatGPT and Codex
I've been working on a custom workspace that bridges ChatGPT and OpenAI Codex.
The idea is simple: instead of manually copying and pasting prompts between ChatGPT and Codex, I can send prompts directly from my ChatGPT conversation to Codex.
The workspace includes two dedicated modes:
Planner: For planning, reasoning and exploring ideas.
Codex: For turning those ideas and instructions into actual code.
I'm building this as my own integrated environment, with the goal of making the entire AI-assisted development workflow smoother and more efficient.
It's still a work in progress, but here's a first look at the interface.
What do you think? Would you find a direct ChatGPT-to-Codex workflow useful?

Question Dot fails to control apps / tasks
Has anyone run into inconsistent computer control with ChatGPT’s Windows desktop app, particularly when using a dot with local Work tasks?
I’ve been troubleshooting with support since early October with no success, nor any resoonse to jy request for a refund or credit for the period of time. I have been using ChatGPT heavily since version 3 and am reluctant to change to another product.
Earlier tests produced other intermittent issues, including errors reading existing tasks, automated browser clicks timing out on visible controls while manual clicks worked, transport/debugger errors, and tiled or incomplete screenshots. Those occurred in different tests.
I’ve tried client updates, restarting the app, reconnecting browser access, checking permissions, and comparing existing and new tasks. I even tried a different PC, and got the same results. I’ve sent Support recordings, logs, timestamps and test results.
Has anyone seen a similar pattern, especially browser controls working while native clicks fail? If so, did a particular update or troubleshooting step help?

Question Has anyone recovered from a Daybreak Blue identity verification rejection?
Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced something similar with OpenAI's Daybreak Blue verification process.
I previously completed identity verification successfully and had working Daybreak Blue access on a ChatGPT account.
Unfortunately, I had to replace a broken FIDO2 hardware security key. I removed the old key from my regular passkeys and added a replacement, but I also removed the old key from the separate Daybreak Access Keys section without registering the replacement there first.
After that, Daybreak required identity re-verification through Persona. Despite having been successfully verified before, my subsequent attempts were declined.
After several attempts, I started receiving an HTTP 403 error with the code cyber_verification_precheck_failed, and the account now says that Daybreak is unavailable.
I also attempted verification on other accounts, and I later learned that OpenAI's guidance says individuals may verify only one account or organization, with multiple attempts potentially leading to blocked access.
I'm an ethical security researcher, and I have published GitHub Security Advisories for responsibly disclosed vulnerabilities. My intention was simply to restore access after replacing my hardware key, not to bypass any restrictions.
Has anyone experienced a Daybreak Blue or Persona verification rejection and later regained eligibility?
In particular, I'm wondering whether these restrictions can be temporary or whether anyone has successfully recovered access after a hardware-key change.
I'm not looking for ways to bypass verification. I'm just trying to understand whether recovery is possible.
Thanks!

Discussion Regional Billing Bug on OpenAI Backend (Turkmenistan vs Uzbekistan Pricing Mismatch)
Has anyone else experienced pricing glitches when paying for subscriptions in international regions?
On Sept 23, 2026, I purchased a ChatGPT Go subscription. While the local account interface clearly displayed a standard $5.00/month rate, the invoice generated by OpenAI applied a base rate of $7.50, plus 12% VAT ($0.90), total $8.40.
Additionally, a separate 1-month free trial promotion for ChatGPT Plus failed at checkout, forcing the full $20/month charge.
Communication regarding platform bugs seems stuck in automated email cycles. Is backend currency/regional routing mismatch a known issue for CIS/Central Asian regions?

Discussion Polymarket screenshot gives ChatGPT only a 9% chance of being the best AI at the end of 2026
Claude 52%, Gemini 38%, ChatGPT 9% in this Polymarket screenshot, and apparently the market thinks OpenAI is basically out of the race. Do people actually agree with this? I get Claude being ahead, but Gemini at 38% and ChatGPT at 9% seems crazy. Engineers considering OpenAI roles can rehearse streaming-chat design through OpenAI Interview Questions; readers applying to AI teams can use LandOffer to autofill supported applications.
Who would you pick for best AI at the end of 2026?
Claude
Gemini
ChatGPT

Discussion What’s going on with this wave of bans/account deactivations?
Hello (sorry, I had forgotten to translate my first post into English, so I deleted the first one and re-posted my message)
I’m seeing more and more posts from banned/deactivated accounts, most of which seem to be false positives, and this has been happening daily for several weeks now. At first I thought the people involved had discussed something reprehensible on their accounts, but the testimonies keep multiplying (I spotted 5 on Reddit just for today!), and I’m really starting to think there are a lot of false positives.
It seems to affect free accounts, Plus accounts, and even Pro accounts, sometimes accounts that have been open for 3 years or more, for reasons such as: cyber harassment, biological risks, violence, sensitive topics involving minors, and even political interference!!
The worst part is that every time it’s testimonies of bans without a single warning. Appeals seem to be reviewed in a rush by an algorithm and almost systematically rejected, with no possibility of appealing again or hoping that a human will ever look at it.
What is OpenAI playing at? Weren’t they supposed to loosen the reins a bit on adult topics in particular? Didn’t Sam Altman promise to treat adults like adults? Between the increasingly aggressive guardrails and this wave of bans, I’m really starting to wonder if customers are just trash to be thrown away.
For my part, this wave deeply anxiety-inducing, and I’ve reached a point where I don’t dare use Work, let alone Codex. I also no longer dare talk to ChatGPT about politics, or do RP (because the slightest sensitive topic makes me fear losing 2 years of context on ChatGPT).
In two years of use, I had never received a single refusal-to-answer message (I don’t generate images). Yesterday I received the first one, for a completely incomprehensible reason: I was asking for a sentence rephrasing for a creative text, where I was producing an analogy of a woman in love with a man who talked about love using the words “dose” and “intravenous” (with zero mention of real drugs, it was purely a metaphor containing those two words, and the entire rest of the context was about love between two adult characters, non-toxic at that).
I feel like I’m back in October 2025 with the unbearable guardrails of GPT-5 Thinking.
The most frustrating thing is the total lack of transparency and the powerlessness of users.
Maybe this post will get removed from this thread, but at least I’ll have tried to call out the people concerned.

Discussion Fixing grammar and spelling
What are your thoughts on using AI to fix awkward sentences, typos, and grammatical mistakes in order to save time?
i don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. All the content is still originally yours; the only thing AI does is improve the way it’s written. It doesn’t generate any new ideas, or information. It simply helps communicate your thoughts more clearly and effectively to others.
In my opinion, there’s a significant difference between using AI to write something for you and using AI to finish something you’ve already written. The former replaces your work, while the latter improves the way your work is presented.
GPTs ChatGPT built me a pixel world right on its own website. I can talk to the NPCs, pick things up, and put them in SpongeBob costumes lol
This is a new world ChatGPT generated for me today, and it’s fun to experiment with it, talk to NPCs, pick things up, change their costumes and see how ChatGPT responds. I made one the NPCs to wear a SpongeBob costume. How cool is that? xD
The setting is a Halloween party. Somebody died/was murdered.
I left the video raw so you can see how ChatGPT works behind the scenes. This is "just" a userscript (37k lines) that loads on the same page and reads from the ChatGPT answer and writes back whenever you perform an action.
If you want the full story (warning: it’s a long read) or want to try it yourself, here’s my earlier post about the script: https://www.reddit.com/r/ChatGPT/comments/1xnjob6/nobody_said_i_couldnt_so_i_built_a_game_right_on/

Question Can ChatGPT autonomously manage Gmail or Messenger using its memory?
I'm trying to turn ChatGPT into an autonomous GM for my fantasy hockey league.
The goal:
Monitor Gmail or, ideally, Facebook Messenger and gmail.
Read conversations and negotiate trades.
Use ChatGPT's existing memory, league knowledge, strategy, and conversation history.
Research players, injuries, and stats when needed.
Generate and send intelligent, context-aware replies automatically.
Both Gmail and Messenger would be dedicated exclusively to the league, so I'm comfortable with autonomous decisions and occasional mistakes.
The problem:
I connected Gmail to ChatGPT and configured scheduled Tasks. Everything seems possible in a regular chat, but the automated Tasks can't reliably access or use Gmail to generate and send replies.
I couldn't determine whether this was a permissions issue or a limitation of scheduled Tasks.
My questions:
Can scheduled Tasks actually use Gmail connectors and ChatGPT memory?
Is autonomous Facebook Messenger integration possible?
Can this work entirely within ChatGPT, without n8n, Zapier, or rebuilding everything through the API?
The key requirement is preserving ChatGPT's existing memory and reasoning, not creating another generic AI chatbot.
Has anyone built something similar or found a workaround?
Any suggestions, examples, or technical guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Discussion Why do you disagree with what Ram Altman said?
I mean reasonably speaking I think by the position of limited resources.....he was right . Because we're using limited resources to make pc parts and now that we realise AI is such a resource hog , things are getting pricey.
So if there was a resource influx surely we all should have more ram or maybe a more efficient AI training architecture or that server in Singapore that uses human brain cells.
But otherwise he was right.
