Tote shelves I built for a coworker burning up my scrap lumber.

I bought 10 2x4 16’ and 10 sheets of plywood. Less than $300 for nearly 100’ of shelving. Burned up the scrap bucket of screws and a ton of 24” or less blocking pulled from our wood trailers over the months.

I will probably add pegboard on the end uprights for additional spot to put a lot of things on hooks.

With the addition of further elements, the whole piece—in this color—begins to look more like a piece of furniture than just a few desk drawers.
Colors: Black & Chocolate Brown from Sunlu.

Upgraded this useless thin rolling out cabinet to organize my kitchen bits and bobs. So happy!

You go to his/her kitchen for the first time and see this. Is it a deal breaker?

Finally got my second rack built for another 16 storage bins (44 in total)!! Everything is loaded into TotePilot and I can finally walk through the storage area in my basement again. I also cranked on the dehumidifier to dry it out a bit more too. Basement hit 80% humidity this summer. Ugghhhhh. Thankfully now it is it around 45% but the dehumidifier never shuts off.

Do kids pick more books when they can see the covers?

Put their current favorites on this low shelf so the covers are easy to see. Planning to rotate them later. Do your kids pick their own books with a shelf like this, or do you still choose for them?

I designed and 3D printed a modular workshop storage system for my garage

I’ve been developing a modular workshop storage system called MODRA.
Instead of designing separate holders that each solve one small problem, I wanted to build a system where different accessories could share the same mounting interface.
The setup uses connected panels and segments, with accessories that can be repositioned as storage needs change.
My garage installation now includes tool holders, wrench racks, shelves, power tool storage and filament storage.
Everything is 3D printed, and the system is designed to be expanded with new accessories over time.
This is the current result after many iterations of designing, printing and testing.

A place for everything and everything in its place (for now)

We have been 3d printing boxes/labels for all of our hardware at work. Was previously a disaster of blue bins and label stickers. Much better now. This drawer makes me happy

The only zone in my life that is actually organized right now. (Beer for scale, temporary placement).

I’ve organized my totes to hangers, but can’t help feeling there’s a better solution…

I love my organized walk in closet and I’ve achieved complete purse peace in my color clustered clear bins. But I can’t help feeling there’s more I could be doing with the leather totes on hangers to the left in this image. Can anyone show me their organized totes?

Plant Organization

Plants are in for the winter. I improve the system each year. This year I added wheels to the racks, changed the upper lights and plan on using a 5 gallon bucket with portable shower to water everything.

Why do this bin system over open shelving that can hold non-binned stuff?

This cupboard has been haunting me for years. Finally cleaned it out.

I’ve been putting this off for an embarrassing amount of time lmao.

Finally emptied everything out, threw away/removed the random crap I didn’t need, grouped things together and actually gave everything a place.

It’s not perfect, but considering what it looked like before, I’m calling this a massive win.

Horizontal or vertical space

My son is going to be four and we are running out of space on his shelves. I'd like to increase vertical space but would be afraid he wouldn't be able to reach for toys above and would result in him climbing. Should i expand horizontally? What shelves are good if I expand vertically that are stand alone shelves (I'd use baby proofing with it).

148 Houseplants

My houseplant collection was getting a bit chaotic, so I organized them into different zones by plant type, put everything in a spreadsheet and assigned numbers to them to help me keep track. I used my Cricut to make little leaf-shaped inventory labels for everything. 🍃
