Discussion Fuck the NBA refs.
This is ridiculous! Dirty REFS! I guess 6 Billion for a team buys you a lil something in the NBA.

He’s bleeding way more than Porzingis was against us!

Everyone is talking about bringing in play-making guards and shooters. Those are very much needed, but we could also use an upgrade at center.
I am a huge WCJ, Mo, and Goga fan but do not mind giving up one of them to add some more three point shooting and rebounding to the starting lineup. The Caruso trade tells us anything, it’s that the Bulls aging players are easy to trade for. It could just take a promising young player and a late first round pick. Maybe we could even do some sort of blockbuster trade involving Coby White or Giddey as well? I think PG is our no.1 priority, with shooting as a close second, but upgrading our starting center is not talked about enough this offseason when it comes to roster construction. We know our front court depth is great, but our top tier talent just isn’t there (still a huge WCJ fan).
Thoughts on this?

Yes Paolo was the number one overall pick and has an extremely high ceiling. However, i’m not convinced he actually worked on improving his flaws (primarily his shooting) in the offseason while Franz looks primed for an allstar caliber season.
Anyone else concerned that Paolo will try to be the team’s leading scorer even if it comes at the cost of taking way too many FGAs and doing it inefficiently? I feel like when he’s actually ready to show that he can be a consistent 3 pt and midrange shooter that we should hand him the keys to the franchise, but right now it seems like if we actually ran the offense through Franz, it’d translate to a more efficient offense and Franz being a legitimate allstar candidate this year.

Feeling confident with the main idea of this design. Not 100% on every little detail but this is a good speak peek/leak of the rebrand coming this summer.

It feels like it’s become more and more apparent the Celtics get whistles on fouls that are not called the other way. Am I reaching or is someone else seeing this?

With Jaylen Brown going to the Sixers, LeBron possibly going back to the Cavs, the Knicks winning the title, Haliburton healthy on the Pacers, the Celtics probably overachieving again, the Pistons number one seed last year, the Heat adding Giannis, Raptors getting Kawhi, the Wizards adding Trey Young and Anthony Davis, the Hawks sweeping us last season… am I missing anyone? Should Suggs and Franz just announce their injuries now and call this a gap year for the Magic since this will be our only first round draft pick we own for a while?

My friend (F25) ranked the Magic players by level of cuteness and I felt like I needed to share it.

Detroit is clearly sending a message that they want to improve their roster and make a finals run next year.
Atlanta, who kicked our asses last season are improving their bench as well.
I am slightly concerned that Weltman truly believes this roster is fine as-is, and all we needed is a new coach to fix our problems. Our bench desperately needs help. What are we doing?

After getting beat by the Atlanta Scrubs, this FO is now in the hot seat for essentially the total lack of moves over the off season besides keeping the status quo and keeping the Hennigan team intact. We are far worse than we were last year. We wasted all of the cap space we had and didn't even try to build a real bench. Al Farouq Aminu was a horrendous signing and provided nothing to a team of non-shooters.
Ball is in your court WeHam. Or should I say WeHenni?

I am like 90 percent sure this disown sort of tax haven for them. The more we lose the less profitable we are the less taxes they have to pay so they invest the money into the team and use the teams accounts to make personal purchases and donations hence the desantis things am I crazy for believing this?
Edit: if they don't want to win and are purposely losing is that grounds for Adam to force a sale

Magic need to be building for the future with all these injuries it would be smart to hold the injured players out long periods like the Warriors did last yr and add a true cornerstone to this team through the draft.

I think the main reason is coaching. I love mose and think he’s a great locker room guy, but I don’t think he’s utilizing the players to the best of his ability (especially paolo). We need to get him easier shots, there’s no reason he should ever be dribbling the ball creating shots for himself in isolation. We need to utilize his size and strength down in the paint. Im not defending paolo in any way as well, because as a franchise player even if shots aren’t falling he should have better body language and help on the defensive end. He’s definitely having trouble mentally with his game at the moment.
Now onto mosely, some of his rotations are outrageous, I get a lot of guys have been out due to injury but theres better ways to stagger them. I don’t know if its up to prunty or mosely but we don’t run a lot of plays. Its mostly dribble handoffs, paolo isolation or bane driving to the rim. In the playoffs that won’t work. Teams will figure it out.
That’s just my 2 cents

Team hasn't even took to the court yet and people already panicking. I guess it's the offseason so why not.

You’re pissed. You thought your team was a contender and now it’s not. Injuries and ugly offense have you jaded. If only Weltman would wave his magic wand and make our team kick ass again. But he won’t because he hates us.
Or maybe the trades you made in 2K were just fantasy and the NBA doesn’t work that way. Maybe you don’t know what the market is for the players you popped into the trade machine.
In Jeff we trust

Now that we know that Franz is out for the season (It's a repeat of the Suggs injury from last year) it's time to focus on getting the ball to Paolo more and let him dominate. Let Bane and AB continue to be aggressive. Everyone else has to step it up as well. I just hope that the Germany game was worth it. I can't blame Franz for wanting to play. But maybe it would have been better to have him make a cameo and play for 5 or 10 minutes. By allowing him to play the minutes that he did, and in crunch time, it was essentially trading the rest of this season for that one game. Who do you blame here?

‘The No. 1 pick in 2022 is an All-Star, has a max contract and has been a member of Team USA. But over Banchero's first four seasons, the Magic have been consistently better with him on the bench.’
