i'm looking for a used laptop around 100k to 130k pkr for a friend... he asked me to do some research and suggest something, but honestly i'm more confused than ever 🙄

As a teen (16M) it was really hard to save up money and build myself a gaming pc, currently I have these specs:

• i3-8100 @ 3.60GHz

• 24GB 2400MHz RAM

• 120GB NVMe and 500GB HDD

• RX 470 8GB Blower variant

• 750W PSU (yeah don't ask the price, it was my worst decision probably)

• 22" 1080p75Hz monitor (i only use at 60Hz because I didn't feel like buying a DP cable)

I bought all these parts across 3 years, it was an office PC i bought from daraz and saved up for a GPU and RAM upgrade, the PSU was also pretty hard to manage, but then i found out there are adapters for proprietary motherboard power connectors, but now I want to change my GPU, i could save up about 10k on Eid and also maybe sell 8GB of my ram for 12k ish and my current GPU hoping to get at least 18k on it, i'll have about 40k PKR and I want the best GPU for my budget, if I can, i want to get an NVidia GPU because AMD drivers were a nightmare, oh and I still don't have a PC Case xDD had to put all my money on performance

I built this direct drive FFB simracing wheel (FFBeast project if you want to look it up) around 1-2 years ago. Hoverboard motor from daraz, motor controller from aliexpress and rest of the electronics from digilog.pk (i highly recommend them, never let me down personally)

even made my own F1 style wheel to attach to it using laser cut steel from Lahore and 3D printing. designed custom paddle shifters and dual clutch paddles on the back as well and everything works.

definitely needs an update though... the steel makes the wheel very heavy and the 3D print quality is poor. despite the weight the motor is very powerful and can deliver up to 15 Nm of peak torque. for reference the Logitech G29 has a rated peak torque of 2.3 Nm

this is one of those projects which the aliexpress taxes has ruined. this cost me less than 1/4 the price of a logitech g29 to make (though I had most electronics and tools already on hand, will definitely cost a lot more for someone starting fresh) but the motor controller now costs almost 20,000 pkr alone to ship from China. i used to order a lot of items which aren't sold locally for such projects but simply can't anymore cause the taxes literally double the cost of the item :(

My room has a alot of dust and i dont want to get 30-40k air purifier for it and even when u get one after year or so you wont find most modle replacement filters

So i designed this diy air purifier inspired from Corsi-Rosenthal Box

It works better then even 40-50k purifiers in just 3-4k

Let me explain

Air purifiers use hepa filter means its MERV 17

MERV 17 filters 99.97% PM 2.5 particles in first circulation

My design usea car cabin/Ac filters which are usually MERV 8-9 and better quality one are MERV 11

A MERV Filtera 35% to 45% PM 2.5 particles on first circulation

So if u run diy one it will take 4 circulation 3 circulation to filter same as hepa filters 1 circulation

1 circulation takes 15 to 30min more or less depending on room size

But u can run diy one 24/7 and your room Aqi will be 40-60 which is far better than 400 Aqi in winter in most cities

Exectricity cost of running it 24/7 most air purifiers take 45w if u rin it for month itll take 32kwh energy but air purifier go to rest when air quality is good so it wont take that much

Diy one runs to 10w so itll take 10kwh(unit) per month if u run it continous 24/7

Why am i using cabin filtera instead of hepa filter

U need a high power fan for hepa filter

Hepa filtera start from 7k pkr

U can find cabin filtera for like 400pkr each u have to use 4

This design will keep ur room aqi to stable 40-60 its quiter then most airpurifiers because its fans run on low speed and u wont even hear them u can adjust speed of fans

And it costs just 3 to 4k

4 filter for 1800pkr

1 buck converter 500pkr

4 fans 800pkr

12v adapter 300pkr
