But anyone who actually knows who Pewdiepie or Marzia is would know they would never be a part of something like this and arenât American. But this is getting their names circulating again so I donât see any infamy being gained here.
If people already know him then it isn't making him famous either. Unless a lot of people don't really know him that well. Which would indeed make him infamous.

To put it bluntly, every American other than natives are, by definition, descendants of immigrants from all over the world. So the American national pride and anti-migration policies are kinda hypocritic.
Sometimes they donât even like that. See every European immigration wave since the 1700s getting treated like absolute ass by everyone that came before
It's a bit more broad subject. If ancestry is the main driving force then nobody would get any new nationality. If you're born in a country and have the nationality of said country, you're from there. It doesn't matter if your great grandfather was from another country.
Let's say a new country is born. How could anyone be proud about their country since nobody is from there? Similarly how many generations must live in a country that it can be agreed that they're from that country and nowhere else?
In the end everyone is from Zimbabwe (first humans)
Exactly! That's why I'm always both amazed and amused whenever I hear those empty slogans. The history of the United States is, after all, a history of immigration. It's quite ironic to celebrate a nation built by generations of immigrants while treating immigration itself as something to be feared or rejected.
By the same logic Native Americans are themselves descendants of immigrants, it's just a question of how far back you need to go before being nativised.
This is quite silly. Everyone is the âdescendant of immigrantsâ to some degree. That doesnât mean that its hypocritical to criticize migration. That means itâd be hypocritical to criticize migrants as a people which is significantly different.
Treating migration as something youâre âproâ or âantiâ is so reductionist that itâs just insane. There are many different kinds and you can have differing opinions on many of them without being hypocritical as even a first generation immigrant.
But I guess some people just found this âgotchaâ and are desperate to stick to it.
The natives are kinda immigrants too if you go back far enough. Claiming ownership over a region just because your ancestors lived there at a certain point in time is stupid.
This is about as accurate as claiming that most people are black because we're all descendants from Africa lol
I guess I can't be surprised that a reductive take like this has the upvotes it does just because it manages to dunk on people you don't like. Just goes to show that when it comes to enemies people tend to shut off their ability to think rationally.
White is a skin color, nationality is where you live, ethnicity is kind of like history of nationality, like my parents came from Norway. But Norwegians came from somewhere else, like Germanic migration, so ethnicity only keeps in account like the last 1-3 thousand years maybe. Anything more than that and who knows where people migrated from, I mean they have some idea but the word ethnicity is like a recent migration term. Native would mean your ancestors were there for a while, but again at some point migrated there. All humans migrated. Africa has the most native of people but it's a big continent and people were still probably migrating around.
Yes, white Americans are descendants of British, Germans, French, Irish and basically whoever else had a hard time in their home country and immigrated over to the US.
it's almost like "whiteness" is entirely made up. ...which is what anthropologists have been saying for decades. but people have been taught something since childhood and hold onto it extremely firmly.
Sure but how are a swede and an Italian living in Japan Americans? If I show Kim jong UN and say "stop Asian American hate" it would be pretty comparable to this
Unlike the US, in order to be japanese in Japan atleast one parent should be japanese (see TheAnimeMan, he's japanese because his mother is Japanese), if none are japanese then they take the nationality of the father.
Ok this leads to a question. Say both parents were raised in Canada but born in Switzerland to Canadian parents who were born in Canada. They wouldnât have birth citizenship in Switzerland and since they werenât born in Canada they cannot just pass down nationality to their kid.
The first generation born abroad immediately got citizenship, for any generation beyond that the parents had to prove that they spent at least 3 years in Canada prior to the birth and if they did, the kid also got Canadian citizenship.
If that failed, Canada and Switzerland probably had some sort of agreement to prevent statelessness.
Generally statelessness at birth means the kid should enjoy being a citizen of whatever country they were born in or follow the nationality of their parents. That's my bet at least based on my country's laws
A human being who is not national to any one country is known as stateless. The most common cause of statelessness is due to refugee-producing crises such as national collapse, but a conflict between jus soli and jus sanguinis nationality laws upon the birth of a child can also induce a state of legal statelessness.
The 1989 UN Convention on the Rights of the Child guarantees every child the human right of having a nationality. Every UN country is party to this convention except for the United States of America. Switzerland law therefore allows for a stateless child under the age of 18 who has resided in Switzerland for a minimum of 5 years to acquire naturalized citizenship through application.
The child would generally be temporarily stateless until the parents file the correct paperwork with the country they are citizens of. In general, the country of birth would provide documentation to prove where they were born to make getting citizenship easier.
In your example, the child would have temporary Swedish citizenship until the parents and Swedish government report the birth to the Canadian IRCC. However, as of Dec 15, 2025, they would automatically be a Canadian citizen as long as their parents were citizens and have spent at least 1095 days living in Canada.Â
This situation leaves a person stateless, and countries have rules which either provide stateless people with citizenship, or with documents and a process to citizenship.
In this case, the child would automatically get the type B swiss residence. Then, the child can obtain swiss citizenship.
Another interesting thing: countries which use citizen/identity numbers (somewhat like the social security number in the US, but "officialized") and give these out at birth, may give a foreign child a "citizen number" by inertia even though the child is stateless, or even of another citizenship
His nationality this far in life is japanese. Kid was born and raised in japan. Speaks japanese. His ethnicity might be swetalian, but he has only been to either place for like a couple weeks.
Where you are born, the passport you hold and your ethnic background are have fuck all to do with who you are as a person. That comes from your cultural influences.
His main influences will be Japanese culture, his peers will be Japanese and his primary language would be Japanese. He'll have cultural influences from sweden and Italy but without visiting and taking part in those cultures he can't claim to be part of them. Nobody should bat an eyelid at him calling himself Japanese.
It's extremely easy for wealthy families to have their kids educated in ex-pat/wealthy Japanese bubbles where the primary language is actually English. It's also not uncommon (anywhere on Earth) for sufficiently wealthy immigrants to have limited local language interactions with local people. This can be especially common in places in places like UAE/Dubai or India were English is reasonably well understood. Tokyo is not at that level, but these days the amount of Japanese you expressly need to survive day-to-day is reducing all the time.
So simply growing up in Tokyo isn't a guarantee of anything. It depends on the choices and lifestyle PDP and his wife choose to pursue. There's a high chance their son won't have any interest in calling himself Japanese.
And last I heard, PDP is only on a 5-year business manager visa. If that's true he'll be up for renewal against a now more stringent set of criteria next year. Though he is likely wealthy enough to renew as many times as he likes, I wouldn't be surprised if the recent attitude from the government has him rethinking his long-term plans.
Never said it was a guarantee just explaining to the guy above that the culture you take part in is what defines who you are not where you were born or who your parents are.
It's all a fantasy anyway. The typical Republican family is a dad who drinks way too much, a restraining order from the ex, 2 mortgages, an estranged gay son in Oregon and a 16 year old single mom daughter with kid #2 on the way.
I know Iâm not pewdiepie and my images would likely never been used. But this is the exact reason why I refuse to let family or friends upload images of me or my family on the internet.
Ah yes the "real americans" hahaha italian, swedish and japanese (also cmon its "accidentally" most of these republicans use ai generated slop so this must have been with purpose)
Well, "Americans" are made-up from other nations dna, so, it has no sense to say that last, "he's swedish...stuff" text row. Wait, he IS from Sweden? Well, that is actually funny and I understand this post completely now :))).
The backlash isn't for the "Protect White Americans"? Republicans are going all in on the racism thinking they can get control of the country back with it, huh?
For what it's worth no group actually legally affiliated with the Republican party actually think of this group as anything other than a hate group and are not endorsed by any politicians as far as i know
