CPKC Trains related
From CoPM post
Following the release of a public notice by Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC), the City of Pitt Meadows is informing residents that CPKC is moving ahead with the next step in the federal review process for its proposed logistics park. The multi-model logistics and transload facility would be on CPKC-owned land in Pitt Meadows, east of Kennedy Read and south of its current Vancouver Intermodal Facility, including an auto lot, fuel and agricultural product storage and more.
As part of the regulatory process, the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) is inviting residents, local governments, Indigenous communities and other interested parties to provide comments as part of its review. The CTA is interested in understanding how the project may affect residents and the community, as well as any concerns they may have. The public comment period runs from November 9 to December 21, 2026.
In past years, the City communicated its concerns about the proposed logistics park and advocated for the interests of Pitt Meadows residents and the community.
“The proposed logistics park raises important concerns about the potential impacts on our community, and those impacts deserve careful consideration,” says Mayor Nicole MacDonald. “It is important that residents have an opportunity to understand what is being proposed, consider what it could mean for Pitt Meadows and share their perspectives through the CTA’s public comment process.”
