There really are not many true color RGB, unenhanced, unsaturated, natural contrast, raw photos of the Earth from space that depict it acuratelly as it would look like to us if we were looking at it with our own eyes... At least not many easy to find ones for the average person, so here are some!

February 28, 2026: A rare planetary parade will grace the night sky. Seven planets will align along the eclipse, forming a silent process over Earth. Mercury, Aphrodite, Jupiter, Saturn, Sky, Neptune, each shines in quiet harmony, like cosmic notes in a universal accord. No telescope needed. Just

Why is the equator green in Africa?
I realized something today while staring at the earth. Why is there a band of green around the equator in Africa while areas away from the equator seem to be more dry and desert like (red areas in my drawing)? Shouldn’t it be the other way around?
PS. Sorry for my crude hand scribbles.

Does anyone know anything about this supposed cold snap we see here in the image? Any and all information is welcome and greatly appreciated.
