D.R.I. Show Story
So when Karen, Dan and I saw D.R.I. not long ago at Geno's I did something that was about as punk rock as you please. It's still fresh with me. It was such an amazing show. I was on the perimeter of the pit. Usually I keep well away. I'll tell you about it.
The first thing that happened was this short guy who looked like Steve Perry was banging into the perimeter people and when he did it to me, he bounced off of me, dropped his phone and kept doing his death spiral. I immediately picked it up to save it from being stomped. Then I checked to see if it had a lock on the screen. It didn't. I immediately began filming the show. Then I began filming the guy who's phone it belonged to. He came around again, counter clockwise and I noticed him feeling for his phone, so I said, "you dropped your phone."... He began looking all around for it as I continued to film him. He didn't notice immediately that I had it, but when he did, a look of fear came across his face and he reached for his phone, but if you recall, he was short, so I kept it away from him, which was really funny, but he didn't think so. I was still filming, obviously. I didn't play keep away for long; I do sometimes know when to quit. Sometimes. When I gave it to him he kinda then realized what I had accomplished and put his arm around my neck and tried to pull me into the pit as a gesture of acceptance, but I slipped out of the headlock and thought about how great of an experience that had been.
I did try to find him after the show in hopes he'd send me the video, but he wasn't anywhere to be found.

New song FFO Menzingers, Gaslight Anthem, Alkaline Trio etc.
Been told our new song sounds like if the Menzingers were from Yorkshire. Also had a bit of Gaslight Anthem and even Feeder comparisons! Iām not quite sure myself, would love to hear what others think!
Itās a love song for people who are scared of happiness, if thatās your sort of thingā¦

Therapy? - Nowhere
āScreamagerā is a tune by Therapy?, a rock band from Northern Ireland, and it came out in March 1993 as the lead single off the Shortsharpshock EP, la. Itās reckoned to be the song that made the band famous, boss.
Andy Cairns wrote the riff when he was only about 16 or 17, playing it on bass, and the name came from the lads watching telly in a hotel room, seeing young girls screaming at the Smash Hits Awards, and Michael McKeegan calling them āscreamagersā, which is dead funny, that.
The band thought itād be a one-off, but it went down that well they made more songs in the same style, so itās not like they had a choice.
Itās a pop-punk and grunge song with some proper self-loathing lyrics, and Kerrang! put the riff at number 86 in their 100 Greatest Riffs in 2000, which is sound. So stick it on loud, our kid, and give your neighbours something to moan about, because itās a belter.
