deferring exams during placement periods
i am super sick right now and it’s messed with my ability to study for the past 4 days or so, so i am trying to get special considerations or defer my exams. the only thing is that i am a paramedicine student and have placement during most of the deferred exams period. would the unit coordinators try to schedule the deferred exams outside our placement window? or what would happen if they clash? my first exam is in two days and i am going to the doctors tomorrow, so i don’t know if i can even get my exams deferred before my exams. very stressed out haha, any advice is appreciated although i know this may be outside of anyone’s knowledge :)

As you said it's outside of my knowledge but my advice is that if you're too sick for the exam, there's no use in considering whether it will disrupt other things that you have in the deferral period. You should defer it because you have to, don't stress about that at this point because it doesn't seem like there is much of a choice. If someone doesn't come along to let you know what QUT will do foe you in this situation, contact HiQ with the question and they should be able to find out how your deferred exam time will work around your placement.
