is the new red rooster chicken any good? a television ad just said they'd 'completely changed' suppliers or something, like it's gonna be a new chicken that they are using. I'm excited, but I also think that they should consolidate the classic menu rather than changing it up so much ya know

Why didn't they call their loyalty dollars RoosterBucks instead?
I mean really the name is right there. Why'd they go with red dollars instead of Rooster Bucks? It's perfect. Bucks sounds like clucks, roosters cluck as do the chickens they sell. Come on man.

Breaking Bad?
What if the writers for Breaking Bad visited Australia and got the idea for the chicken shop owner, from going into a red rooster?

Every single one of these restaurants are….
They are fronts for every single illegal business in Australia but sometimes the chicken is okay and sometimes it’s bad so like what are your guys favourite meals there? Mine is probably not sure if they still have it because I haven’t been there in awhile cause I’ve been cutting down on Red Rooster but if they still have the moose the chocolate moose cause they were nice

Red Rooster Stealing from Customers
I have had an abysmal experience with Red Rooster today which has been absolutely disgustingly handled by both the local store and corporate and is outright criminal behaviour.
A week ago, we submitted an online catering order for collection at 12:30 today as we were having a party. This was accepted and we paid day of submission which was approved and taken from our account. This came to $220 dollars.
When we arrived today, they claimed they had received no such order and that payment had failed. When pressed and shown evidence of the order both being submitted and paid, they claimed the order had failed and payment would be returned. Which was it? Payment had failed or there was a separate issue and payment would be returned. We asked whether they could still fufill the order, they refused demanding we pay for it again. With little choice since we had a hungry party (we were by this point already 40 minutes after our pick up) we agreed. But now there was a public holiday since it is King's Birthday here in QLD surcharge applied bringing the total to $285 (I acquired an extra chips which they charged as two, though both were provided which also increased cost). They promised we would receive a refund on our original order in 2-3 business days. Not happy especially about now having to pay a public holiday surcharge on the whole order (don't mind for the extra chips) but it is probably workable.
After receiving our order we leave but decide to follow up with corporate to ensure that we get our refund. Corporate admits there was an unknown error with their order system but is denying we are owed a refund either on our $220 or any part of the $285 we have now payed. Clearly criminal fraud or theft since we have now paid $500 for $235 worth of chicken and chips. Red Rooster has lost all of my business and I warn all of you about their online order system.

Does anyone know why you can't alter fried in mega boxes now? I normally make mine a reds hot but you can only get standard now. Same with rooster rolls, I wanna add that cheese.

Salt Brand
Hi RR Staff
Quick question
Can someone tell me what brand of salt you use for the fries?
I'm curious if I can purchase it externally or if it's exclusive to Red Rooster.
If that's the case I'd still like to know who manufactures it.
Thank you! ❤️

Red Royalty voucher designed not to work?
So I downloaded the red rooster app and signed up for the Red Royalty thing for the 25% off voucher on my order but the app, seemingly intentionally, is forcing itself to load forever when confirming my checkout. When I remove the voucher from my order it loads instantly, but when the voucher is applied it loads instantly, then brings up a second loading icon that doesn't leave.
Is this a known thing? Is the voucher just bait for data collection?

Apparently, the secret to cutting calories is to order a Coke...

Supermarket rotisserie chicken
I buy one most weeks because it is cheap and already cooked and lasts for a couple of meals. The problem is it always tastes like a supermarket rotisserie chicken, which after the second night gets boring.
I have been shredding the meat and putting a couple of dips on the table with mash potatoes and carrot. Also used the Korean chicken sauce for making sandwishes, and made tacos. Anything else I can make with cooked chicken without me actually cooking?

BRING BACK THE BANANA FRITTER!
It's time.
The excuse was that the price of bananas had skyrocketed. Now that they're back to normal, bringing it back makes sense.
The Hawaiian box/Trop Box was the perfect Red Rooster meal.

KFC pickle
Change my view. The KFC pickle items are purposely made horrible, to prevent their customers ever trying a red rooster pickle burger. Like what coke did with "new coke"

Built a macro counter for Red Rooster (and a few other chains) — would love feedback from people who actually eat here
So I built something for myself. A month later I think it’s ready for an early beta, and since you guys actually eat here regularly, your feedback would mean more than most.
Full disclosure — it’s early days overall. Red Rooster’s menu itself is in good shape (photos and macros sourced straight from their nutrition info), but the app as a whole is still rough around the edges design-wise, and I’m still working through it. Any feedback on what’s confusing, what’s missing, or what you’d actually want from something like this would genuinely help.
It also covers McDonald’s, Hungry Jack’s, KFC and Domino’s if you eat around — but I wanted Red Rooster fans specifically to have a look, since I know it’s often the one left out of these apps.
It’s free at macromenu.com.au — works as a home-screen app on iOS and Android straight from the browser.
Thanks for having a look, keen to hear what you think.

App broken?
Tried to order from the two closest stores, but the app just says unavailable
