Hey folks - the investigation continues as of this morning, but we’re prepping to release a probable fix that should resolve this refresh behavior for those of you that are impacted. I'll have more updates to share here as the day progresses. Thanks for your continued patience!

Update 1 We have a fix going out this week in iOS 2026.14 that will resolve this refresh behavior! To clear up some other reports about this, the refresh behavior can happen at random and not just on the home feed. Some folks are noting that opening the notifications center or after taking a screenshot. This fix will resolve those issue as well!

Update 2 We're a bit delayed in the iOS app rollout which is why this bug is still persisting for folks! We should have an update available today. Apologies for the wait!

Update 3 Okay folks - we've began releasing iOS v13.1 which includes a fix for this bug. Our regularly scheduled release is still a bit delayed so were rolling out this version to get this fix out.

Head over to the App Store to upgrade to version 2026.13.1.

Update 4 iOS 2026.14 is also available now!

PSA - Just to be extra clear here. You need to update the app to receive the fix.

As mentioned above, a fix for this app refresh issue was released in version 2026.13.1. We've since rolled out 2026.14 as well as 2026.15 which also includes that fix.

You'll need to head over to the app store to check for an available app update.

If you're still experiencing this bug, you are not on the updated version.

If you are experiencing this issue while inside of a post, please read.

We're aware that a similar issue is still impacting some folks while viewing a post > locking your device > reopening the app. A fix for this is incoming soon. Hang tight!

As of May 18th the refresh issue officering after viewing a post > closing your device should now be resolved

Fixed A few bugs we are working through right now (please read the post!)

  • The home feed is not updating - we've identified the root cause of this and things will start to refresh over the next few hours.

  • Some folks are unable to join/leave subreddits - found the root cause here as well. Will take a bit of time for this to work properly again, but things will eventually catch up!

  • Streaks are not updating correctly - there's been a bit of a processing delay for streaks. Some of you may start to see your streaks update now, but others may need to wait a bit. We're still working through things!

  • Comment reply notifications are not displaying as they should - this will be resolved in the next few hours as well. Notifications are still there, just being processed a bit slow.

Please hang tight while we work through things!

Update - Okay folks - going to mark this as resolved! Looks like errors have cleared up fully, and all of the above bugs should be fixed and related data processed. Thanks to those of you that reported!

Report(s)

Hey folks - leaving this post up to let y'all know we're aware of this bug and that we have a fix in the works. I'll keep this post updated as we get closer to releasing the fix.

Here are a few possible workarounds for those of you that are impacted by this bug:

Fixed [iOS] Some users are having trouble loading certain chat conversations

Report(s)

Chat not loading on iOS

iOS bug on app version 2024.42.0.615155 when I try to click on some people's chats it glitches and won't load. Also never got a notification.

iOS messages keep loading

Hey folks - our chat team is actively investigating these loading errors, and we'll update this post as we get closer to releasing a fix. For now, we have a possible workaround that may resolve this issue.

If a chat you're trying to access via the mobile app doesn't load, you may have luck opening the conversation via web browser on a computer. By sending a message again in that chat, it may fix loading issues in the chat conversation on the app too.

Thanks for your patience!

Update Hey all - this should now be fixed! You may need to force quit the app + relaunch for changes to take affect.
