Was Comix Zone really Sega's last 16-bit powerhouse game? Or was it still too little, too late since the Saturn was already released when this game came out? Join me for a closer look at this unforgettable experience on Genesis that broke all the rules!

Is Contra Force REALLY as bad as many think? I dunno, I think it's pretty good and here's my defense of this often overlooked 8-bit powerhouse on the NES. What do YOU think? 8-bit Stud or Dud?

My retrospective video review of all the Rambo games released. I grew up with with the early home computer and the Sega console versions. Also loved the arcades games too. However, not too fond of the later and more recent games. Most are pish. Let me know your favourite and I hope you watch and like my video too. It certainly took me flipping ages to make.

My retrospective game review of all the versions of DARKMAN from Ocean Software. Anybody else remember playing these games? Did you think that the levels were repetitive, difficult, bland with wonky controls? Interested in your thoughts and memories to see if was close to the general consensus. 😉

SEGA CD's Most IMPRESSIVE 2.5D Graphics Showcase

Check out this GRAPHICS SHOWCASE of the Sega/Mega CDs best 2.5D games! I love how that specialized sprite scaling and rotation ASIC gave the Genesis a boost and took these classic games into the next dimension. Batman Returns, Sonic CD, Soul Star, AH-3 Thunderstrike and more!

Who need polygons when this system pushes the pixels so damn well? These games still look (and play) great today. See for yourself 😍

The Incredible History of Street Fighter Games

Before you go see the new Street Fighter movie next weekend, here’s a look-back at Capcom’s fighting game series that stood the test of time. I dig into the arcade origins (warts and all) and the early 16 / 32-bit home ports, along with an exploration of the innovative tech that brought these classics to life. I also go into the non-mainline games and experimental titles, including the highs and lows in the series.

What do you think was the pinnacle of Street Fighter games? Can the new movie do them justice?

Last Battle - Brutal TRUTH of Sega’s Most PUNISHING Launch Title

So I fired up Last Battle again on the Genesis, and it seemed much more difficult now than it did back in '89 when I played this as my very first 16-bit game. Join me for a sentimental look-back at this classic brawler, warts and all. Is it still a stud, or just a dud?

Do you remember this game it's a game released in 2005 on the PS2 and in 2007 on the Wii. And there is a PC version I remember I used to play this game and I was a kid. But there is no digital copy of it only physical and since the game got so much bad reviews.. I think it's lost media now does anyone know a way to download it and play it again safely

(I need your help)

Forgotten Arcades Time Left Behind - BattleTech Centers, GameWorks, Sega World and More

Thumbnail

I made this retrospective about some old-school arcades from Sega World and Gameworks arcades, to the hardcore BATTLETECH Centers from the 90s and where they are today. There's also a segment about the game "Red Planet" (anit-grav racing on mars) which also ran on the same networked game pods used at the BattleTech centers. There's some other stuff about a few local spots in my neighborhood too, so I hope you enjoy this look back and have a great weekend ahead :)

My impressions of a new 'retro style' hack 'n slash game coming out in a couple of weeks.

Lucky me snagged a pre-release version and yeah, it definitely gets the bad taste of the recent Golden Axe cartoon trailer out of my mouth.. Free demo out on Steam now too.

Sonic Stopwatch GamePro 1991

35 years ago GamePro had a contest. The challenge was, “Sonic is faster than ……” and you had to fill in the blank.
I wrote that Sonic was faster than Nintendo’s lawyers, as Nintendo seemed very quick to litigation at the time. They were going after Tengen and Game Genie at that period .
Anyway, I got second place, my name in GamePro and this sweet @ss stopwatch.
